Jay-jay's POV
It turned out that the bench was also broken after walking for a long time. This Keifer is a fool!
We were taken all over the place, and then suddenly he'd face us and ask, 'Where are we going again?'
"Want some, Jay?" Ci-N offered me.
I shook my head. I didn't want candy. I wanted it earlier, but not anymore. It's because of this king of snakes. His words suddenly hit me — aaarrrgggghhhh!!!
Don't think about it! You'll go crazy!
"Tss," Keifer suddenly said.
What's with him? I wasn't even talking to him. He's really going crazy.
I glanced at Keiren, who was busy showing off his candy and chocolate haul to Ci-N.
"Why are you the one with Keiren?" I asked.
He adjusted his seat on the bench and tilted his head back slightly.
"Keigan didn't want to come... I told him to just stay home and I'd buy him some candy and chocolate, but of course... he didn't agree. So, here I am," he explained, sounding bored.
Admit it! You couldn't say no to your younger brother, so you just went along. Tsk! — I suddenly thought of my own older brother. Would he be like that with me too?
"What about you? Why are you here with Ci-N?" he asked me.
I explained how that idiot called me out of nowhere. He didn't react at all while I was talking.
"...So, here I am," I mimicked his words.
He didn't answer. He just stayed quiet, so I did the same.
The sky was getting darker; evening was approaching. We really needed to head home soon — especially Keiren. He couldn't be out too late.
In the distance, we could hear loud music. It sounded like there was a party.
Keifer suddenly stood up. "Let's go there," he said.
I didn't move. I didn't understand what he was saying. He was inviting me somewhere again.
He grabbed my hand and started dragging me along.
"Ouch! Hey, wait!" I complained, but he ignored me. Ci-N and Keiren just followed behind us. I almost tripped because of him — he was walking so fast.
We stopped in front of an entrance to an event. It was all Halloween designs. It seemed like the loud music we were hearing was coming from there.
"What are we doing here?" I asked Keifer.
He didn't answer me. He pulled me back. I approached the table next to the entrance.
I couldn't understand what Keifer was asking the person at the table. I looked at Ci-N and Keiren who were surprised by what was happening.
Keifer faced us. "Let's go inside."
I really don't want to. I don't understand this King of the Cobra. Maybe some other spirit had joined him.
I motioned for Ci-N to come over. The two followed.
When we got inside, it was like a Halloween party we had just been to. Except for the old one we went to.
"What are we doing here?" I asked Keifer.
"I'm bored."
This guy is really cool! He's also a good joker, just like his brother.
There were a lot of people inside in costumes. All of them were teenagers and they were talking to each other.
"Hi!" Some girl greeted Ci-N.
She smiled and waved. Should I report this to Rakki?
"You're so cute!" One girl said to Keiren.
Because she was naturally grumpy, she just kept away from the girl.
I felt like I really wanted to leave here. It was like I could see the party that happened at Felix's teammate's house. This party wasn't as wild as that.
This one was mild and the music was good.
"I'm just getting drinks." Keifer said and suddenly disappeared from my sight.
I looked back at Keiren who should have been behind me but they were gone too.
Wow! Here they are again!
I rolled my eyes and looked for my companions but with so many people I couldn't see them. I didn't want to leave my place and maybe we'd get separated.
"Hi Miss! Your alone?" A man asked me.
He was wearing a Superman costume. He was still smiling at me. I was about to speak, but someone beat me to it.
"She's not. She's with me."
I looked at him carefully. he was wearing a white mask. The man who came up to me left, so I could see the speaker clearly.
"Hi! Nice to see you here." he said.
I couldn't answer. I didn't recognize him. Until the disco light hit his face and even though he was wearing a mask, I saw his eyes----Blue.
"Percy?"
He smiled and rubbed the back of his head.
"...W-what are you doing here?" I asked, a little surprised but happy.
I've been looking for him for a long time, I've asked him so many questions.
"A very, very long story." he answered me.
My heart was beating fast. I didn't want to waste time. It might be a while before we meet again.
"P-percy... Can I ask you a question?" I said.
He smiled at me. "You're asking."
I looked at him slightly with a bad look. "I'm serious."
His smile disappeared and he became serious too. He held my hand that almost made me turn away. His hand was so cold.
"I know you have a lot of questions. But save those for the future. I can't answer anything right now." He explained.
"B-but why?"
He took out his cellphone from his pocket.
"I can't tell you... Give me your number and I will contact you as soon as possible." He said.
Even though I was confused, I took out his cellphone and put my number in. I handed it back to him, he pressed his phone for a moment and turned to face me.
"When I can, I'll call you." He told me and suddenly kissed my forehead.
I was surprised, I suddenly couldn't move and didn't realize that he had already left.
"Hey..." Keifer's voice snapped me back to reality. "Who was that guy?" he asked.
I couldn't answer. I didn't know what I should say. Should I tell him the guy's name?
The music suddenly changed. The crowd ran toward the center, and that's when I saw Ci-N dancing with some girls.
"Let's sit there," Keifer pointed to a table.
I followed him. He handed me a can of beer. I didn't really want to take it because of what happened with Kiko, but I felt like I needed it right now.
"Don't worry, it's closed. I didn't put anything in it," he said before I took the beer.
I opened it and took a sip. It tasted so bitter, but that's just how it was.
I couldn't stop thinking about Percy. Why couldn't it happen now? We rarely saw each other. So frustrating!
"Who were you talking to earlier?" Keifer asked again.
"No one... I thought he was someone I knew," I answered, bored.
He just nodded and took a sip of his beer. We both watched Ci-N, who was busy flirting with the girls.
Then I suddenly remembered Keiren.
"Where's Keiren?" I asked Keifer.
He didn't answer, just pointed to a table surrounded by girls in bunny costumes. They were feeding Keiren candy and chocolate.
"Aren't you going to go your brother?"
Keifer shook his head. "Nah... Even if it looks like fun over there, I'll just stay here."
Looks like fun...
"Then why don't you go there? Since it's so much fun," I mumbled before taking another sip.
Keifer smiled slightly, and that annoyed me even more.
"Are you sure? I might actually go. I'm starting to get jealous of Keiren," he teased.
Was he provoking me?
"Then go! Go squeeze in with those bunny girls!" I snapped.
He just laughed — and it made me even angrier.
"I won't... You're already mad," he teased again.
"I'm not! It's fine with me... Just go there," I said calmly, but it sounded sarcastic.
He laughed again and gave me that annoying look.
Jerk!
A girl in a sexy bunny costume suddenly approached Keifer.
"Hi!" she greeted him. "...I've been watching you for a while. I just wanted to introduce myself."
The SHAMELESS guy glanced at me briefly before turning back to the girl.
"Sure! I'm Keifer!" he said with a smile, offering his hand.
The NEW GIRL accepted it, grinning widely.
I chugged my beer in frustration.
Why am I even getting mad?!
They kept talking after their introductions. This FLIRTY GIRL kept asking questions, and the SHOW-OFF kept answering.
She said she just wanted to introduce herself, but they've been talking forever! And this KING OF FLIRTS was clearly enjoying it!
I kept watching them. They kept laughing and even playfully hitting each other's arms.
So annoying!
Then the music changed, and the FLIRTY GIRL started swaying, clearly inviting the ARROGANT GUY to dance.
Please! I can probably dance better than you!
They came over to me.
"Come on, Jay! Let's dance!" Keifer invited me.
Is this guy crazy?
"No thanks! You two go ahead!" I refused, shaking my head.
But apparently, this guy didn't understand the word 'no.' He suddenly pulled me toward the dance floor, where the crowd was thick.
I was the only one not moving. Keifer was already dancing with the girl he just met. Ugh! My blood was boiling!
So I danced too — full-out. I didn't care if people laughed at me. I just kept dancing, pushing out all my frustration.
At some point, I bumped into someone, but I didn't pay attention.
I'm busy dancing! Woooohhhhh!
I kept dancing. I felt someone's hands on my waist from behind. I let them stay and kept moving.
I was just so annoyed, and I didn't even know why. I just felt like dancing it all out!
I swear I'm about to slap a bunny!
