Chapter 2 - Dorm house : Lagrith

As the excitement from the evaluations died down, Drakoris's voice echoed through the halls.

"Now that the first awakening is complete, students, you will now proceed to your assigned lodgings. Your schedules will be given upon arrival."

A mixture of groans and chatter filled the air as students shuffled toward the massive dormitory building at the far end of the academy grounds.

Pete stretched, still feeling lightheaded. "Finally, some rest."

Gregor snorted. "Oh, trust me, dorm life here? Not exactly peaceful."

Alya walked ahead of them, reading from a scroll. "Alright, let's see… Oh. Interesting."

Pete raised an eyebrow. "What?"

Alya grinned. "Looks like you two are rooming together. Same dorm."

Pete groaned. "Figures."

Thera smirked. "And guess what? You're also sharing with someone else."

Gregor narrowed his eyes. "Who?"

A familiar voice chimed in. "Hope you weaklings don't snore."

Pete turned—and came face to face with Leo Carpforbid.

Leo grinned. "Looks like we're roommates."

Gregor muttered, "This is gonna be hell."

Pete sighed. "Yup."

With that, the new roommates made their way into Dorm House Fernir, where the real chaos was about to begin.

Thera leaned against the doorframe, smirking. "We're just a room away if you need us."

Alya glanced at the room numbers and chuckled. "We're literally opposite them."

Thera giggled. "Yeah. Which means we get front-row seats to Leo manhandling them."

Inside their room, Pete dropped his bag on the bed with a sigh. "Great. More people expecting me to get my ass kicked."

Gregor was already unpacking, barely acknowledging him. "I mean, they're not wrong."

Leo stretched, tossing his stuff onto the largest bed. "Relax. I'll wait till tomorrow before I start breaking you in."

Pete groaned. "That doesn't sound comforting at all."

Gregor ignored them. "Let's set our stuff up first. Then we can explore."

Pete perked up. "Now that sounds like fun."

Leo rolled his eyes but didn't argue. "Fine. Just don't slow me down."

Outside, Alya and Thera shared a knowing look.

"Think they'll survive the night?" Alya asked.

Thera grinned. "Guess we'll find out."

As soon as Pete dropped his bag onto the bed, a soft hum filled the air.

The walls glowed faintly, and suddenly, the entire room shifted. The beds rearranged themselves, furniture moved on its own, and even the lighting adjusted to fit a custom ambiance.

Pete jumped back. "Whoa—what the hell?!"

A calm, mechanical voice echoed through the room:

"Scanning belongings… Adjusting dorm settings to match resident preferences."

Gregor didn't even flinch. "Skyfang tech. The rooms adapt to the students' personal tastes. Pretty handy."

Leo watched as his corner of the room morphed into a training space, complete with a hanging punching bag and reinforced flooring. He smirked. "Hah. This is gonna be fun."

Gregor's area turned into a dark, cozy space, with deep-colored furniture and soft lighting—almost like a den of shadows.

Pete looked at his side and blinked. His space had transformed into a bright, open area with a sleek study desk, posters of legendary warriors on the walls, and a soft bed that looked way more comfortable than before.

Pete whistled. "Okay… this is actually cool."

Alya and Thera peeked in from the hallway. Alya smirked. "Looks like your room likes you."

Thera chuckled. "Hope it also cleans up after you."

Pete ignored her, flopping onto his newly customized bed. "Yeah, yeah. Let's explore after this."

Leo cracked his knuckles. "Then hurry up. I'm not waiting forever."

As Pete settled onto his bed, he glanced at Leo's side of the room.

At first, the changes were subtle. Then—BOOM!

Leo's section expanded slightly, the walls shifting into a stone-like texture resembling an ancient warrior's den. His bed was massive, almost like a throne, reinforced with griffin feathers and thick furs. Above it, a rack of weapons materialized—training swords, gauntlets, and even a pair of beast-forged knuckles that crackled faintly with energy.

Leo grinned, crossing his arms. "Now this is a room fit for a king."

Pete stared. "Are you seriously sleeping in a battle arena?"

Gregor smirked. "Makes sense. Leo probably fights in his sleep."

Leo shrugged. "Gotta stay sharp. Unlike you two."

Pete rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, enjoy your combat nest. I'm gonna rest in my perfectly normal bed before we explore."

Leo chuckled. "You do that, fairy boy."

Alya, still watching from the doorway, smirked. "I give it one night before you wake up with Leo sparring in his sleep."

Thera added, "Two nights before something breaks."

Pete groaned. "We're doomed."

Gregor just laid back in his shadowy corner. "Yeah, probably."

Before Pete could even think about resting, Alya and Thera marched in.

"We need your room," Alya said, matter-of-factly.

Pete sat up. "Wait, what?"

Thera grinned. "You heard her."

Before anyone could argue, the room hummed again, sensing the new residents. The walls glowed brighter before the entire space expanded outward.

The once four-person room stretched into a massive shared suite, dividing into distinct sections for each occupant. A new curtain of enchanted mist materialized, providing the girls their own private space while keeping the room connected.

Alya's section transformed into a study haven, filled with ancient bookshelves, glowing crystals, and a sleek alchemy table. A soft, star-lit canopy covered her bed, giving it a mystical touch.

Thera's area looked almost like a floating garden, with hanging fairy lanterns, soft moss-lined flooring, and tiny streams of glowing water. The air carried a faint floral scent, making it feel like a pocket of the Fae Realm.

Leo grunted. "You two just took over half the damn room."

Alya shrugged. "Academy rules. If space is needed, dorms expand to accommodate."

Thera spun in midair, giggling. "Plus, we make things more interesting."

Pete sighed. "So… we're all roommates now?"

Gregor, already lying back, muttered, "Looks like it."

Leo cracked his knuckles. "Tch. Fine. But if any of you mess with my training gear, I'm throwing you out the window."

Alya smirked. "Noted."

Thera flopped onto her bed of floating flower petals. "This is gonna be fun!"

Pete groaned. "That's one way to describe it."

As the last of their belongings settled into place, Pete let out a long breath. "Alright, we're all moved in. Now what?"

Leo cracked his knuckles. "We train."

Pete groaned. "Of course you'd say that."

Alya smirked. "Actually, I vote for exploring the academy. There are still places we haven't seen."

Thera fluttered beside her. "Ooooh, like the forbidden tower? I heard it has an archive of lost history!"

Gregor muttered, "Great. First day and you already wanna break into places we probably shouldn't."

Leo shrugged. "Not my problem, as long as we fight something on the way."

Pete sighed. "So we have two options—train with Leo, which means I get wrecked, or go mystery-hunting with Alya and probably break a few rules."

Alya grinned. "Pretty much."

Pete looked around at the group. "Alright, let's vote. Training or exploring?"

Gregor smirked. "You know we're gonna end up doing both, right?"

Pete groaned. "Yeah… I figured.

As expected, no one chose Leo's option.

Gregor sighed. "Fine, Leo. I'll train with you."

Leo smirked. "Good. At least one of you isn't a coward.

"And I almost forgot, I think we should change our dorm name" said Pete

"Since his the weakest let's give him the honour of doing something as important as naming this dorm " said Leo

"Yeah I agree with you " said Thera

Alya shrugged "As long as it ain't stupid, that's all I can say "

"Ok,can we go with LAGRITH " said Pete

"It does sound cool , I guess" said Alya

Pete smirked "Heh Heh"

"Yeah after naming us after your skill , no harm done I guess" Said Gregor

"Ok agreed let's move " said Pete
