✿ CHAPTER 9 ✿
I drove my car into our villa. Our butler, Uncle Charles, came out Smiling like he was expecting me home after centuries.
"Young miss, you're back home!" he smiled warmly as he approached me.
Uncle Charles was the only man who had cared for me since I was a child.
Even though he was now getting older, I still respected him deeply.
"Hmm...is Mom and Dad at home?" I asked as we both entered the house.
"Master went to the company for some meetings and Madam went out with her friends for some spa treatment" he smiled at me.
"Hmm...they always do" I slumped on the sofa looking so tired and exhausted.
In the blink of an eye, Uncle Charles was standing in front of me with a cup of fruit juice in his hands.
"Have this young miss...you look so worn out" he gestured to the drink.
"Thanks, Uncle Charles" I smiled as I took the drink from his hands. He sat next to me.
"Young miss....I noticed you didn't sleep at home last night" I knew he would ask this question!
"Do I now have to talk about my whereabouts?" I sighed
"I watched you grow up into the woman you are now but...I can't help but feel worried sometimes-"
"Nothing will happen to me okay? I'll be fine...I promise"
"I- I just need some time alone" I gave him a warm smile.
He responded with a smile.
"You should visit the spa more often with your mom....at least that can bring you both together"
I clenched my fists when I heard this.
"I know you don't have a good relationship with your parents but...I'd really love it if you try getting closer to them" he said with a look of sadness in his eyes.
"I'm going to bed now. Goodnight Uncle Charles" I smiled as I stood up abruptly, walking up the stairs.
I hated it when he brought up this topic.
"Please think about what I said young miss" I stopped in my tracks as I turned around to face him.
"I can't promise you anything Uncle Charles" I turned around and walked away...slamming the door shut to my room.
The house's main cook, Aunty Matilda, a middle-aged lady, walked up to Uncle Charles sneakily.
"What happened to the young miss...why is she furious?"
"How did you know the young miss is furious" he rolled his eyes.
"Ah!...we all know the young miss always slams her door shut whenever she's unhappy about something....what a weird habit huh."
"Stop spouting nonsense and get back to work...master and his wife will soon be back home."
"You know I'm looking for some Gossip" she playfully hit Uncle Charles on his arm.
"Hey!...that hurts!...and no, there are no Gossips" he winced in pain as he rubbed his arm.
"Right! I almost forgot to ask...I heard the young miss didn't spend the night at home...is it true?"
"How did you-"
"Who didn't spend the night at home?" A middle-aged lady, very elegant, classy, and beautiful
One look at her and you'll think she's still in her youth era. She walked into the house emitting a very strong aura.
The bodyguards behind her dropped the shopping bags in their hands on the table.
"I asked a question...didn't I?" she said as she gracefully sat on the sofa, crossing her legs elegantly...Uncle Charles and Aunty Matilda were both surprised by her sudden arrival...
"Uhm...Madam I...I" Aunty Matilda was nervous as she glanced at Uncle Charles...nudging him for help.
