The depths of space were lit by a flash of destiny.
In the endless darkness of the Universe, where the only sources of light were distant stars and the faint glow of nebulas, something grand suddenly emerged. From the void, seemingly from nothingness itself, appeared a colossal golden dragon, whose sheer magnificence could eclipse entire galaxies.
Its shimmering scales emitted a blinding light, reflecting off the emptiness and turning the darkness into a glowing canvas. The dragon's red eyes, filled with ancient wisdom and unimaginable power, locked onto a single point where a green-skinned Kai stood in complete silence, a deity possessing both authority and knowledge. He looked at the dragon without fear, as though he already knew what was about to happen.
In the language of the gods, which sounded both like a whispering breeze and the crash of thunder, he spoke:
"Swap my body with the body of the Saiyan named Goku."
For a moment, all went still. The cosmos held its breath.
Then, the dragon's eyes flared bright red. A surge of energy enveloped the Kai's body, lifting him into the air. Space itself distorted around him, and in the next instant, the figure of the Kai vanished—replaced by none other than Goku.
The dragon had granted the wish.
It unleashed a thunderous roar that made even the most distant planets tremble. Its body blazed with light, and soon it dissolved into the fabric of space, leaving behind seven colossal Dragon Balls—each the size of a planet. They spiraled outward in a mighty vortex, scattering at incomprehensible speeds to different corners of the Universe.
Meanwhile, the one now inhabiting Goku's body slowly examined his new form. His lips curled into a sinister grin.
"So this is what it feels like… to be Goku…" he whispered with dark satisfaction, clenching his fist. "This body… is perfect."
He closed his eyes, basking in the raw power surging through every cell, then opened them again and murmured:
"Speaking of Goku… perhaps I should pay him a visit."
And with that, he vanished without a sound, leaving space in its usual silence.
Earth. A wide-open field, teeming with life.
Under the clear blue sky, amidst rolling green hills, Goku could be seen working cheerfully in the field. His face shone with a bright smile as he plunged his hoe into the soil, turning over the fertile earth.
Nearby, crouched down and watching with interest, was Goten—his youngest son. He observed his father's every move with curiosity, even though he would have preferred to be training instead.
Though Goku was a born warrior who loved to train and fight, Chi-Chi had insisted that he spend at least some of his time doing something useful for the family. And so, part of his days were spent working on the farm.
Straightening up, Goku wiped the sweat from his brow with the back of his hand, took a deep breath, and said, gazing at the sky:
"Ahh… I wish I could go train with Lord Beerus for a bit."
His voice carried a hint of longing—a tired desire for new challenges.
Goten, standing at the edge of the field, kept watching his father's hard work, occasionally helping when he could. But today, his thoughts were clearly elsewhere.
The boy sighed and muttered with slight frustration:
"I want to train too... But Mom said I have to study for school tests first."
He lowered his gaze, unable to hide his disappointment. Despite his love for martial arts, Goten understood that ignoring Chi-Chi's words was never a good idea. She always cared about her sons' futures, even if it clashed with their wishes.
And then...
Suddenly, Goku's body was enveloped by a brilliant white light—so intense that even the sun seemed dim in comparison. Swirling energy danced around him, lifting dust into the air and shaking the very ground.
Goten shielded his eyes with his arm, blinded by the sudden flash—and when the light faded, he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
In front of him stood not his father, but a terrifying green humanoid, with a long face, sharp features, and a menacing expression.
"Huh?.. What's happening to me?!" the figure exclaimed, looking over himself. His voice sounded... different, but there were unmistakable traces of panic. "Why am I... green?!"
This strange humanoid, as frightening as he looked, spoke in Goku's voice. And Goten realized—something strange had happened. This really was his dad… but in someone else's body.
Without thinking, Goten took off into the sky, tearing through the air at full speed. His heart pounded in his chest, filled with fear and confusion. He knew only one thing—he had to call Mom. Fast.
Meanwhile. The Son Family Home.
Chi-Chi, as usual, was in the kitchen. The aroma of freshly cooked rice and vegetables wafted through the air. She carefully arranged food into bowls, humming a simple tune to herself, thinking about how to make a nice lunch for Goku and Goten.
But suddenly, the door slammed open with a deafening bang. A powerful gust of wind tore into the house, sending dishes flying, whipping the curtains aside, and knocking over everything on the kitchen shelves. In an instant, all her effort was reduced to chaos. Dishes shattered, ingredients spilled across the floor, and the delicious aroma turned into a whirlwind of disarray.
Chi-Chi barely managed to stay on her feet, though she flinched from the shock. Her eyes flared with fury. She spun toward the entrance, gripping a kitchen knife tightly, convinced Goku was behind this—again breaking the house with one of his sudden arrivals.
"GOKU!!" she hissed through clenched teeth, ready to unleash everything she'd been holding back.
But to her surprise, it wasn't Goku standing in the doorway—it was Goten, her youngest son. He was breathing heavily, clearly just having flown in, and his face was filled with worry.
Chi-Chi's anger evaporated instantly. She lowered the knife and asked in confusion:
"Goten? What happened?"
Goten started waving his arms frantically, stumbling over his words in urgency:
"Dad… Dad turned green!"
"What?!" Chi-Chi's eyes widened. She didn't understand what her son meant, but his voice held no joke, no playfulness. He was scared—and serious.
Without wasting a second, Goten grabbed his mother's hand and, using his flight ability, shot into the sky. Chi-Chi screamed in surprise, but didn't resist.
As they soared through the air, Goten tried to explain what had happened:
"Mom, you don't get it... Something's wrong with him! That's not Dad!" he shouted, carrying her in his arms.
Chi-Chi, who at first thought Goku had just gotten sick or overworked, now didn't know what to think. Doubt clouded her mind, and finding no answers in her son's words, she made the only decision she could—she had to see it for herself.
"Take me to him," she said quietly but firmly.
Moments later, they landed in the field. There, before them, stood Goku—or someone who looked like him—staring at himself in confusion, as if not recognizing his own body.
"See, Mom! I told you... He's changed," Goten said, gently lowering her to the ground.
Chi-Chi ran to Goku at once, unable to believe her eyes.
"Goku?! What's happening? Is that really you?" she asked, her voice trembling with fear.
Goku looked at her, as if trying to find answers in her eyes.
"Chi-Chi... I don't know how, but it… it happened," he whispered, like waking from a nightmare.
Suddenly, a strange voice cut into their conversation. It sounded... exactly like Goku's, but with a cold, sinister tone. Everyone turned sharply.
Before them stood… another Goku. He looked almost identical, but his clothes were dark and ominous, resembling something imperial. His hair shifted slightly in the breeze, and a chilling smirk played on his lips.
"The body may not be mine. But the soul—the soul in this body belongs to Son Goku," he said, looking at them with a wicked grin. His eyes glowed with a strange, foreign light.
"You... you look just like me," Goku said slowly, not taking his eyes off the sinister double.
"Dad?.." Goten whispered, confused by the stranger whose face so resembled his father's.
"It can't be..." Goku continued. "You're like a copy of me... Who are you?"
Black Goku just smiled wider. His hand rose slowly, and in it, a pink glow began to form—shaping into a sharp, blade-like energy weapon.
"You ask too many questions," he whispered, then lunged forward.
In an instant, he drove the blade straight into Goku's chest. Goku didn't even have time to react. His eyes widened in shock, and he fell to his knees—then to the ground. Dead in seconds.
"GOKU!!!" Chi-Chi screamed, rushing to him.
"DAD!!!" Goten cried, horror and pain written all over his face.
But it had all happened too fast. Goten was about to transform into a Super Saiyan, rage boiling within him—but in that moment, Chi-Chi threw herself in front of him.
"MOM, NO!" he yelled, but it was already too late.
A sickening, crunching sound rang out—the blade pierced a second time. Goten felt something warm drip onto his face. He opened his eyes and saw: his mother's body had collapsed in his arms, soaked in blood. Her eyes were half-closed, her lips trembling as if trying to say something—but she couldn't anymore.
Goten screamed, unable to contain his fury. His hair began to glow, energy about to burst from within… But he didn't make it.
"How touching," Black Goku said coldly, and with a single motion, drove his blade into Goten.
The boy's body jerked in pain. He caught a glimpse of the imposter standing above him, that same wicked grin on his face. Everything went dark.
But in the final moment, just before the darkness fully claimed him, one desire burned in his heart—to fight back.
"NO!" a spark ignited in his consciousness.
"HAAAAAAA!!!" he screamed, as if tearing through the void by sheer willpower.
His eyes snapped open. He shot his hand up, ready to strike—
But there was no one there. Only the wind drifted across the field.
From behind, a warm, familiar voice called out:
"Goten? What's wrong?"
