Vegeta froze, like he'd completely forgotten Cado was standing right beside him.
That smug arrogance drained off his face like someone had flipped a switch.
"Uh... long time no see."
He had no idea what to say, so he just followed Cado's lead—anything to avoid angering him and ending up vaporized.
"You've gotten quicker lately." Cado said casually, a teasing smile on his face.
"You popped out of nowhere—I thought some top-tier enemy was making a move. Scared the crap outta me."
"If you've got nothing better to do, step aside."
Cado wasn't surprised by Vegeta's obsession with immortality.
But even if Porunga could grant that wish—which he couldn't—Cado wasn't about to let him get away with it.
"You...!" Vegeta clenched his fists in frustration.
But one look into Cado's eyes was enough to make him back down. He knew better than to pick a fight he couldn't win.
So with no choice, he sulked off to the side, burning with humiliation.
Cado turned back to Nail.
"Nail, for my first wish… restore Planet Namek to its original state."
Nail blinked, stunned.
He hadn't expected Cado to choose that.
Then, he gave Cado a look of deep gratitude.
He began chanting in the ancient Namekian tongue.
Porunga's crimson eyes flashed.
The cratered, war-torn land shimmered, and in an instant, lush forests, rivers, and mountains burst back to life.
Planet Namek was whole again.
"Thank you, Cado!" Nail said, trembling with emotion.
"We Namekians will never forget what you've done for us!"
His admiration for Cado ran deeper than ever.
Before, he respected Cado for his strength.
Now, it was his heart he bowed to.
"No need for thanks." Cado said with a grin.
"Honestly, this mess was partially my fault anyway. Me and Frieza trashed this place, even if he caused most of it."
Nail gave a solemn nod, then said respectfully. "Cado, what's your second wish?"
Cado paused for a moment.
Then he spoke slowly.
"My second wish… bring back all the Namekians who were killed by Frieza and his men."
The words hit Nail like a thunderclap.
He almost burst into tears on the spot.
He wanted to kneel down and bow right there and then.
"You're a saint, Cado. A true saint!"
To Nail, Cado now stood beside the Grand Elder in terms of respect.
If Cado ever asked, Nail would gladly die for him.
Cado scratched his head awkwardly.
'Am I really that great?' he thought to himself, not knowing how to process all this praise.
Once again, Nail chanted.
Porunga's eyes lit up.
And across the planet, Namekians began to rise from the dead, blinking in confusion.
"I… I'm alive again?"
"Why is the sky dark?"
"Wait—was that the great Porunga who revived us?"
Namekians all over the planet came back to life, restored by the dragon's power.
"My third wish is—"
"Please wait, Cado!" Nail suddenly interrupted.
"Hm? What's wrong?" Cado asked.
"You've already done more than enough for us. We Namekians can never repay your kindness."
"So please, for the last wish—make it for yourself. We wouldn't feel right if you didn't."
Nail's tone was firm and sincere.
Cado nodded thoughtfully.
He'd already planned to use the last one for himself, but he appreciated the gesture.
"Alright then."
Nail let out a sigh of relief and smiled. "Please, go ahead."
Cado turned to Porunga.
"My third wish is… to learn Instant Transmission, the teleportation technique used by the people of Yardrat."
Nail nodded with a smile and repeated the wish in the ancient tongue.
Porunga's massive eyes glowed.
A sudden surge of knowledge burst into Cado's mind, like a flash of lightning.
He now understood how to use Instant Transmission like he'd trained in it for years.
"Your three wishes have been granted. Farewell."
Porunga's massive body shimmered and faded.
The seven Dragon Balls rose into the sky.
SHOOSH!
With a streak of light, they scattered across the planet once more.
The sky returned to its usual color.
Vegeta stared up at them, eyes full of envy.
His fists were clenched so tightly, his knuckles turned white.
"Tch. What a waste. He blew two perfectly good wishes on those useless nobodies." he muttered.
To him, Cado was a fool.
He'd had the power to ask for anything—and used it to help others?
"If you want to die, I'd be more than happy to help." Nail said coldly, his energy suddenly flaring.
Vegeta flinched at the pressure.
After the battle on Earth, he'd learned how to sense energy…
And Nail's strength was off the charts—at least 40,000.
Vegeta knew he couldn't win.
"…Tch."
He scoffed but said nothing more.
Nail turned back to Cado.
"Mr. Cado, if it's not too much trouble, please stay on Namek for a few days. We'd love to properly thank you."
His eyes shone with admiration.
What Vegeta said wasn't entirely wrong—Cado could've used all three wishes on himself.
But he didn't. That was the difference between them. That was what made Cado a level above.
"Thanks for the offer, but we've gotten what we came for." Cado replied with a polite smile.
"There are more enemies coming, and we need to be ready."
"I understand. Then may your journey be safe. You're always welcome here on Namek."
"Farewell." Cado said, nodding.
Then, without warning, he grabbed Vegeta like a sack of potatoes—
—and took off toward the ship, soaring through the sky.
