Raven's POV – The Past Haunting
Raven's heart pounded in her chest, her breath coming in shallow gasps. Enzo's presence was suffocating, like a storm cloud hanging over her. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her, cold and calculating, and she couldn't help but shiver. It wasn't just the dark look in his eyes that unsettled her—it was what he represented. He was the past, the unfinished business that Raven had tried to escape from, and now he had returned to collect what was owed.
Aurelio stiffened beside her, his body a rigid line of tension. Raven could feel his anger radiating from him, a force that mirrored her own. She knew him well enough to sense the dangerous edge in his posture, the barely-contained fury beneath his calm exterior. The fact that Enzo had appeared from nowhere, casting his dark shadow over them, was more than just an inconvenience. It was a threat, an invasion into a life they'd barely begun to rebuild.
Enzo stepped further into the room, his smile never wavering, but there was something more sinister beneath it. "I must admit, I never thought I'd see you both here, together, after everything," Enzo said, his voice smooth and taunting. "But life has a way of bringing people back to where they started, doesn't it?"
Raven fought the urge to recoil, standing her ground as best as she could. Her pulse thundered in her ears, and her mind raced through every memory she'd buried over the years. Enzo wasn't just some man from her past; he was a shadow that had haunted her every step since she'd left Italy. And now he was standing here, threatening everything she had fought so hard to protect.
"You have no business here," Aurelio finally spoke, his voice icy with menace. "Leave, Enzo, before you make things worse for yourself."
Enzo chuckled softly, a low, mocking sound. "Oh, but I think I'm already making things worse, don't you?" His gaze shifted to Raven, and for the first time, there was something vulnerable in his eyes. "You don't remember, do you, Raven? How quickly you've forgotten the things we shared. The promises we made."
Raven's stomach twisted, a sense of nausea rising in her throat. She knew exactly what he was talking about—the things they had done in the past. The secrets they had kept. But those memories were like ghosts to her now, things she had buried deep within her to protect herself.
"I remember everything," Raven said, her voice low but firm, as she met his gaze. "And I've moved on. You should too."
Enzo's expression faltered for just a moment, but he quickly regained his composure. "You think you've moved on, Raven? But you haven't. You never did." His eyes flicked to the side, where Luna's absence hung heavily in the air. "And neither has she."
Aurelio's hand clenched into a fist at his side. "What the hell are you talking about?"
Enzo's smile widened, almost predatory. "You haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what's really going on here, Aurelio. You think this is just about Raven, just about Luna?" He stepped closer, his voice lowering to a whisper that only the three of them could hear. "It's about control. Power. Bloodlines. And you're all just pawns in a much bigger game."
Raven's stomach dropped. She wanted to lash out, to throw every painful memory back at him, but the reality was much darker than anything she had imagined. This wasn't just about them—it was about something far bigger, something that threatened to consume them all.
"You're lying," Raven said, though she wasn't sure if she was trying to convince herself or him. "What's this really about, Enzo? What do you want?"
Enzo's eyes gleamed. "What I want, Raven, is simple. I want Luna. I want what's rightfully mine."

Aurelio's POV – The Depth of Betrayal
Aurelio's chest tightened at Enzo's words. Luna? His daughter? The thought of someone like Enzo claiming his child as their own made his blood boil. The pieces of the puzzle were coming together, but they didn't fit in any way he could understand. His mind raced, trying to grasp the enormity of the situation, but the more he learned, the less sense it made.
"You're not taking my daughter," Aurelio said through clenched teeth, the words barely escaping as he forced them out. His whole body felt tense, like a coiled spring ready to snap. His mind spun—he had just started to accept the fragile reality of fatherhood, the little moments he shared with Luna, the brief glimpses into what might be his future with her. Now this stranger, this monster from Raven's past, was threatening it all. And the worst part? He knew nothing about it, had no clue what he was up against.
Enzo chuckled darkly, almost savoring the tension in the air. "You're already too late, Aurelio. She's already caught in this web. She's been part of this from the very beginning." His eyes turned to Raven, and then back to Aurelio. "You never knew, did you? How long has it been since you two were together? And still, you didn't realize. The connection is much deeper than you could have ever imagined."
Raven's face paled as Enzo spoke. She took a shaky breath, trying to maintain control, but the shock of Enzo's words hit her like a punch to the gut. She had never wanted any of this to come to light—especially not now, especially not when everything seemed so fragile.
"You're insane," Raven whispered, her voice barely audible. "You have no right to Luna."
Enzo's expression shifted, growing more calculating. "I have every right. And I've waited long enough to claim it."
The tension in the room was suffocating, thick with unspoken truths and buried resentments. Aurelio's mind was a blur of confusion and anger. How could this man—this snake—be so deeply entrenched in their lives? How was he so certain of everything? Was it all part of some twisted plan that had been set in motion long before Raven had left?
Aurelio turned to Raven, his eyes dark with anger and confusion. "Is this true? What is he talking about?"
Raven swallowed hard, her gaze flicking between Aurelio and Enzo. Her hands trembled, but she clenched them into fists at her sides. She had no more answers than Aurelio did, but the reality of Enzo's words sent a shockwave of fear through her. This wasn't just a fight for her freedom or her past. It was a battle for Luna's future.
"I didn't—" Raven started, but the words caught in her throat. "I didn't want to bring this to you, Aurelio. I didn't want you to know about Luna."
Aurelio's eyes narrowed. "Tell me what happened. Now."
The command in his voice snapped Raven back to the moment. She knew she couldn't hide anymore, not from him. Not from the man who had unknowingly fathered her child. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her, and it sent a rush of guilt crashing over her. She had kept so much from him, but now it seemed impossible to hold onto the secrets any longer.
"I—" Raven's voice faltered. She closed her eyes for a moment, her mind racing with every moment of fear and betrayal she had endured. "I left because I had no choice. You didn't know...you couldn't have known."
"About what?" Aurelio's voice was sharp, cutting through the silence.
"I was pregnant, Aurelio," Raven whispered, barely able to force the words out. "But I couldn't stay. My parents... they disowned me. They couldn't accept it. They wanted me to forget you. To forget Luna."
Aurelio stood frozen, his face unreadable. His eyes searched hers, trying to understand what she was saying. It was as though the world had shifted beneath his feet, and the ground was slipping away.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, his voice rough with disbelief.
Raven's chest tightened with guilt. "I was trying to protect her. To protect you. I thought it would be better this way, for everyone."
Aurelio stepped back, his hands running through his hair in frustration. "I have a daughter? And you kept this from me?"
Raven's heart broke as she watched him struggle to process the truth. She never wanted to hurt him, never wanted to keep Luna from him, but now that everything was out in the open, it felt as though the world was crashing down around them.
"Enzo has been behind all of this," Raven said, her voice trembling. "He wanted control. He wanted power, and Luna is part of that plan."
Aurelio's hands clenched into fists. "This is far from over, Raven. I'm going to make sure he doesn't take her. Not now, not ever."
But Raven knew the battle had only just begun. Enzo wasn't going to walk away quietly. And the truth—about everything—was only going to make things more dangerous.
