ODETTE'S POV:
When I saw his eyes change from that beautiful amber gold to a blinding color of the sun. It was like all the air around me had sucked out, I couldn't breathe.
A dark ancient aura rose from deep inside the alpha king. Something old and powerful. It was enough to make my blood run cold.
But it was the voice that made me cower.
I've never in my life felt more afraid than when I stared back into those golden suns that made shadows dance on his face.
The voice was primal and dominant. It commanded the attention of every speck of dust in the hall.
This alpha king wasn't just strong, he was powerful. His wolf was old. I could sense it. The way I could sense the old magic on my mammy.
And even though I was absolutely petrified starring into the eyes of this beast. I felt drawn to it, like something in me recognized it.
And that is what terrified me the most. How drawn I felt. I should have been afraid of the beast, but I wasn't. I was afraid of how I felt about it.
