The summer air was thick with the scent of blooming roses and the distant melody of cicadas. The sun dipped lazily beyond the mountains, casting a golden hue over the town where Yuto Kisaragi and Noa Kanzaki had just begun the first days of their married life.
Yuto sat on the veranda of their small, cozy home, gazing at the last streaks of sunlight. His dark blue eyes, once filled with the uncertainty of youth, now held a quiet confidence, matured by the battles they had fought together. Noa sat beside him, her pink hair gently catching the evening breeze, emerald eyes reflecting the fading light.
They were finally at peace — or so they thought.
As twilight deepened into night, Noa shivered and leaned closer to Yuto.
"Do you feel it?" she whispered, clutching his hand.
Yuto frowned. "Yeah... It's like the air itself is humming."
They had both noticed it — a strange feeling growing day by day since their marriage. A soft pulsing in the air, as if the world itself was breathing beneath their feet. The dreams had started too — vivid visions of ancient forests, glowing rivers, creatures that spoke in forgotten tongues.
That night, sleep did not come easily.
The Dream
Noa found herself standing under a vast sky filled with swirling galaxies, her feet planted on a sea of stars. In front of her stood a woman cloaked in shimmering silver, her face hidden behind a veil.
"Noa Kanzaki," the woman said in a voice like wind chimes, "Your soul belongs not only to this world."
Noa's heart pounded. "Who are you?"
"You and the one you love... must awaken. Fate calls you elsewhere."
Before Noa could ask more, the stars collapsed inward, pulling her into darkness.
At the same moment, Yuto tossed and turned in his sleep, clutching his chest. In his dream, a great dragon of water and lightning coiled around him, whispering in an ancient language he somehow understood.
"Awaken... Kisaragi. You have slumbered long enough..."
When they both awoke, gasping, the clock read 3:33 AM.
Their hands found each other instinctively.
"Did you dream too?" Yuto asked, his voice hoarse.
Noa nodded, her whole body trembling. "Something... is coming."
The Rift
The next day passed in a haze. Even the townspeople seemed on edge — animals restless, birds flying in strange patterns.
That evening, Yuto and Noa stood in the backyard, watching the sunset again. But something was wrong.
The air shimmered in front of them like heat off asphalt. A circular ripple appeared midair, expanding, forming a swirling portal of blue and gold light.
Yuto grabbed Noa's hand tightly.
The portal widened, pulling at the very ground, drawing leaves, pebbles, and finally the two of them into its center.
They screamed each other's names — and vanished.
Awakening in a New World
When Yuto opened his eyes, he found himself lying in a meadow under a sky filled with two suns.
Around him, massive sakura trees bloomed with petals the size of his palms. Strange birds chirped in languages he didn't understand. The air smelled different — fresher, sharper, filled with magic.
"Noa!" he shouted, scrambling to his feet.
He found her nearby, stirring awake. Relief flooded him as he ran to her and pulled her into his arms.
"Where are we?" Noa whispered, her voice shaking.
Yuto looked around at the alien beauty, his instincts screaming. "Not home. Not Earth."
In his chest, he felt a crackling energy — wild, untamed.
Suddenly, words appeared before his eyes, floating in the air like a game screen:
Status: Yuto Kisaragi
Race: Human
Magic Affinity: Lightning (Primary), Water (Secondary)
Skill Unlocked: Stormcall
Skill Unlocked: Aqua Blade
Noa gasped. She saw the same thing, her magic listed as Wind and Fire.
Their memories — their love, their past lives — all intact. Yet their bodies, their very souls, seemed empowered.
They were reborn.
First Encounter
As they tried to understand their situation, the ground trembled.
From the forest emerged a beast — a gigantic wolf covered in molten fur, lava dripping from its jaws.
Yuto instinctively stepped in front of Noa.
The wolf snarled and charged.
"Stay back!" Yuto shouted.
Without thinking, he thrust his hand forward. A bolt of blue lightning erupted from his palm, striking the beast and sending it skidding backward, howling in rage.
Noa, trembling but determined, summoned a whirlwind around her hands, lifting her into the air briefly. Her emerald eyes glowed as she unleashed a blast of wind and fire, searing the beast's flank.
The wolf, badly injured, turned and fled into the forest.
They stood panting, the realization dawning on them — this world was not safe.
But they were not powerless.
New Resolve
That night, they built a fire and huddled together under the alien stars.
"We have to survive," Noa said, staring at the flames. "We have to find out why we were brought here."
Yuto nodded, squeezing her hand. "And we'll find a way home. Together."
The promise hung between them, silent but stronger than any oath.
In the distance, two glowing eyes watched them from the shadows — someone, or something, had noticed their arrival.
Their journey had only begun.
