"I'm leaving for now, hon." Justine said goodbye to her partner.
"Okay, come back right away, okay?" With a sweet response, she smiled at him.
"Yeah, I'll be back right away." He waved at her as he stepped out of the mansion where he was staying.
He parked his car, started the engine, and drove off immediately. A client called him; he would meet with them because they had something important to discuss.
Sighing, Justine walked past the old warehouse where the couple's bodies lay. There was also a lead mentioned regarding the search for his cousin.
His client said they would meet at his mansion. He immediately went there.
Well, I'm bored too; I need to take action as well. He thought to himself.
He immediately reached his destination, and the housekeeper there let him in right away. He went straight to its private room.
"What is it?" he asked directly and sighed.
He faced him.
"Please take a seat, Drake." He said.
He immediately sat down, his brow furrowed in deep thought, so he cleared his throat in front of him. "Ah, I'm truly sorry; something happened today that I couldn't process in my mind right away." He saw the person lean back in the chair and adjust their posture.
"Oh, that's why you canceled our plan today." He ended up saying.
"I apologize for the last-minute cancellation; I had to attend to an important matter." Lawrence only sighed.
Justine didn't say anything anymore; he was here to listen to what he had to say now, as a client.
"Hey, Drake. Do you have any leads on how to find that missing child?" Lawrence asked him.
The question took him aback. "Nope, I have no lead on how to find this two-decade-missing child," he replied.
He took some documents from his bag. Someone handed him the documents.
"I hope that helps, Drake." Lawrence, give him some of the documents.
Frowning, he accepted the documents handed to him, which were clearly worn with age.
"Where did this come from?" was all he could ask.
"That's what I was busy with earlier."
He didn't say anything more; he immediately examined the documents handed to him, and his brow furrowed.
A smile broke out on his lips.
Interesting. Comment in his mind.
"Here."
"What is it?" he asked his companion.
He was now looking at the papers in his hands. He immediately looked at what was given to him.
A picture of a bracelet.
"What is that for?" Justine asked as he took the printed picture of a bracelet.
"That will be your guide to find what you're looking for, Drake." Lawrence said to him.
"How does this become a guide for me?" he asked again to the person in front of him.
"I was going to give you the real physical bracelet that I have, but that person also needs to know that." It said this and just sighed.
He didn't say anything more.
"And also," he sighed. "Sorry if I'm asking for so many favors."
"Don't worry, when it comes to payment, I know you won't shortchange me." He said so.
Lawrence just laughed at what he said. His voice suddenly became serious.
"Observe their mansion."
He knows who this is referring to. "Why? What did you discover?" he asked his companion.
Before responding to his question, he shrugged, seemingly considering his options.
"Did you hear that the abandoned lot was turned into a mansion?" he asked him.
He just nodded. "Why?" He concealed the crucial documents entrusted to him.
"That's where my cousin Leah was buried."
He was shocked by what he heard. He couldn't immediately respond to what he said. "How did you say that?"
"The Rosario family is involved in this case. Especially— Felicia Rosario." Lawrence said.
"It's difficult to believe, but it's just my gut feeling. This case is related to something we can't explain. I know you'll laugh at me, but this case involved something that we can't explain." This is his explanation to him.
Justine didn't comment on what the person in front of him was saying. "Observe them, please, especially— Angely Atienza's sister."
He just sighed, nodded, and stood up. "You need to rest." That's all he said back then.
He nodded—this one nodded in agreement with what he said.
"I'm leaving now." He was still saying goodbye to his client. He sighed and nodded in agreement.
He left the private room and headed straight to where he parked his car. He immediately got in. He was processing the rumors he had heard today, looking at the documents he had obtained.
He needs to study it, and why did he say that the Rosario family was included?
How were all the land titles, bank accounts, and wealth transferred to the Rosario family when Leah Martinez was already dead? Justine could only say to himself.
This case involved something that we can't explain. This repeated what his client had said.
The darkness is creeping in; he doesn't care where his partner always goes.
Damn, I have so much work to do right now. He just sighed.
He is first visiting the cemetery because it is also the death anniversary of his father. He also bought a candle.
The surroundings are quiet; the mounds of her father and her uncle and his wife are just beside each other. They did give them a proper burial, but they still couldn't see—couldn't find and catch—who killed the two.
The culprit always escapes. He could only say it in his mind back then.
He offered a prayer. He specifically prayed for his uncle and aunt.
I hope you can give me a clue about whether your child is still alive, Uncle. He just sighed at that moment.
What clue can you give me? He found himself asking the deceased.
Suddenly, the name of their child crossed his mind. He gazed at the couple's grave, seemingly receiving an immediate answer to his question.
Guide me, Auntie and Uncle.
He quickly left, returned to the car, and immediately searched for the documents given by his client. He was particularly interested in the photo that his client had provided.
He noticed that it had something written on it.
S.E.? He wondered in his mind.
Maybe this is the name of their child. What's the name of the child Tito always mentions? Justine couldn't help but wonder in his mind.
Ellena. Answer in his mind.
What is this S?
He was thinking back then.
Santiago?
Maybe? But her name is Ellena, and her last name is not Santiago but Gonzalez. Justine is analyzing what is on his mind right now.
But, no matter how much he delves into his thoughts, he still can't find the answer.
It's getting dark, and he needs to go back. The town of San Mateo is completely different, because when darkness falls, the surroundings gradually quiet down.
He still needs to study the documents, and he needs to observe. He passed by some young people walking; they might be heading home to their respective houses. He finally reached the mansion inherited from his brother.
He looked at its entirety.
It's hard to believe that this is the location of Leah Martinez's burial. He could only say it in his mind. He immediately honked the horn to have the household staff open the gate for him; he wasn't disappointed, and they opened it for him.
He parked his car and immediately entered the mansion. He hid the documents in his bag first. He went straight to his room without anyone bothering him.
He came out, and Sheila was waiting for him.
A passionate kiss immediately greeted him, and he smiled at her as her arms wrapped around his neck.
