Rain patters against the school windows.
Amaya stares outside, chin resting on her hand.

Rika joins her at the desk. "You're coming with me after school, no excuses."
Amaya and Rika walk under a shared umbrella.
Rika: "We used to hang out all the time. Now you barely talk."
Amaya: "I know. I'm sorry."
Rika: "I miss my best friend. I miss you, Amaya."
They stop at a small café. Warm lights contrast the rainy street.
Rika laughs over cocoa. Amaya gives a small smile.
Flash of Tsuji's face in the window reflection.
Amaya stiffens.
Amaya steps outside into the rain.
Tsuji stands in the alley beside the café, soaked but glowing faintly.
Amaya: "You're not supposed to be here now."
Tsuji: "I had to see you. Something's wrong."
Tsuji looks troubled. "The more I stay... the more things blur."
Amaya: "Blur?"
Tsuji: "Memories, feelings... even pain. I'm forgetting things."
Amaya's eyes widen. "No... you're fading."
Tsuji reaches out. "There's something I need to remember. Something important."
Amaya holds his hand—this time, there's faint contact.
Flashback: young Tsuji and Amaya, running through a field.
Young Amaya: "Promise you'll never leave me!"
Back in the present, Amaya: "That promise... you kept it, even in death."
Tsuji smiles through tears. "I need to find out why I'm still here."
Amaya: "We'll find out together."
Rain slows to a drizzle. The moon begins to break through the clouds.
They walk together beneath a half-cleared sky.
