The Past of Falcon and Edo, Their Relationship, and Why Edo Hates Yama
26 years ago, the father of Falcon and Edo was one of the strongest kings of the Fire Territory, a wise and firm leader. However, he fell ill with a fatal disease that forced him to abdicate the throne, passing it on to his eldest son, Falcon, who was then one of the five elites, even the first in terms of strength and experience. (The elite are the five strongest warriors in each territory after the ruler, and their strength varies from territory to territory).
At that time, the younger son, Edo, began his harsh training under his father's guidance, despite his illness, with the goal of becoming one of the elite in the future. Yama, Falcon's close friend since childhood (even though he was ten years younger), was a talented warrior but not extraordinary. He began his training at the age of fifty-four under Falcon directly. Despite his physical weakness, Yama was skilled in combat, and over time, with his dedication to training, he rose to become the first among the elite after defeating the first elite when Falcon took the throne.
The Spark of Hatred
When Edo felt he had reached the peak of his strength, he challenged Yama in a fair battle to become the first, but it wasn't just about proving worth – the motive of hatred was stronger. Edo hated Yama because he always felt that Falcon favored him, despite being his (adoptive) brother. He saw Yama as a "replacement" for his late brother and despised how Falcon treated Yama like his real brother while treating Edo as nothing more than a subordinate. He tried to defeat him twice... and failed both times.
The Journey into Darkness
After his defeat, Edo disappeared from sight. Unable to endure the defeat and favoritism, he embarked on a harsh journey into the world of darkness. His father's illness had taken over, and no one could stand against him. In the darkness, Edo met five users of the Dark Element, a mysterious element whose origin was unknown, and which had only appeared to five people in history. Edo managed to subdue them and began training with them.
The Return of Destruction
When he returned, he was not the same as before. He used a forbidden technique called "Shadow Cloning," which allowed him to summon ten copies of himself, each copy costing him one year of his life. However, thanks to his ability to "Liberate the Shackles," which grants dark users three chances to avoid the cost of using any forbidden technique, he preserved his life. Each copy had 50% of the fifth elite's strength, making the technique devastating.
He faced Falcon, Yama, and the rest of the elite, but they were unable to stop him. Eventually, the five rulers gathered, according to the world's law, which forces them to intervene when a threat endangers one of them... but they were all defeated.
The Eternal Seal
In a moment of despair, Falcon's father used a technique he had invented himself called the "Eternal Seal," where the user sacrifices ten years of their life for every year they seal the enemy. The king sacrificed 200 years of his life, and Edo was sealed... becoming a legend in the world.
The New Era
Two years after the war, Kang was born, the son of the third strongest member (His Mother) of Falcon's elite. Later, Yama became the new ruler after defeating Falcon, who had fallen ill with a mysterious disease.
Now, as they have aged, Falcon and Yama decided to train a new warrior who could surpass them and stand against Edo when he returns... and perhaps that warrior will be Kang himself.
