Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: THREE YEAR TIME SKIP

In the following days, Thorne undergoes a very special training, he is being trained by a member of the Manmeyer family, becoming more and more proficient with the rifle and pistol every day until he achieves a level of mastery. Even his teacher was surprised, considering he was not growing due to the battle.

It continued until three years had passed, and it was officially time for Thorne to start his training as a God's Knight. He was wearing a fitted uniform with his two swords on his right side waist, the Chimare and the Leviathan, both of them are the last gifts he ever accepted from the elders and his father; he also had a rifle strapped to his back and a pistol in his left side waist.

Looking at the mirror, Thorne couldn't help but think about the past three years. How different things were in this life. Here, he was born into royalty, along with immense responsibility. In his past life, he wasn't, yet he still chose to train, to grow stronger. He wasn't expected to, but he learned all he could, constantly applying each lesson and analyzing it until he could improve upon the original method and create a better solution. Just then, a maid called for him.

"Saint Thorne, your father requested your presence in the dining hall, he wanted to celebrate your 5th birthday," The maid said politely, the maid then observed his master, considering that Thorne had been one of the most generous Celestial Dragon in the slaves opinion, which is a low bar, but Thorne is the only one that would not kill anyone they find unsightly, and he was not unreasonable.

"I'll be there, just finishing something up," Thorne answered the maid.

Thorne, after checking every equipment he had on, arrived at the Dining Hall, where he noticed his brother and father was waiting for him the moment.

"It was finally time for you to join our glorious duty. I heard you are being taught to use guns by the Manmayer Family?" Shamrock said while looking down at Thorne, who was half his size.

"Yes, it was a great perspective, I do not want to waste every gift that was given to me," Thorne said to Shamrock.

"Very well then, let's go to the headquarters to start your official training" Garling said while turning its back on both Shamrock and Thorne while walking forward, he was then followed by Shamrock and Thorne, ensuring that their formation would resemble a pyramid like shape symbolizing that Garling is still at the top of their family.

"What kind of lessons are imparted to you by the Manymeyers?" Garling then asked while standing at the contraption that was being powered by the slaves,

"How to build the foundation for Observation Haki," Thorne said, while looking, not giving his attention to his father, but focusing on the slaves that were making their walkways move. Thorne couldn't help but pity them, with them being normal people but being treated less than animals.

While focused on the slaves, Shamrock and Garling can't help but look at Thorne, they both think that he was distracted so Shamrock attacked him with his sword in a swift manner, but Thorne, suddenly draw his pistol to and aim at the sword to offset its trajectory, missing him.

"GOOD!" Garling, who observed the brief exchange, couldn't help but be proud. At only 5 years old, he was already proficient in Observation Haki.

"That's a strength worthy of Figarland, and noble," Shamrock commented, looking at his brother, who was still aiming his gun towards him. Thorne just looked at him, smirking, acting as if he was about to put it away, but suddenly, he fired his weapon towards Garling, who just moved his head a bit.

"You're too young to think about hitting me, with that flimsy sneak attack," Garling said, not minding the fact that his son just shot at him.

"Well, I guess, I just have to train harder," Thorne said, while smirking at his father, who just ignored him, where Shamrock also smirked at the statement his brother made, knowing the full extent of the strength his father had.

While walking, they saw the family of Rosward being carried by their slaves while being escorted by CP members.

"What a disgusting family, someone like that should already be executed," Thorne said, while looking at Roswald, which was heard by both Shamrock and Garling.

"Why do you think that?" Garling asked, curious about the answer his son would give.

"They are damaging the image of Nobles, we should move with grace and perfection, yet all I see in them is an image of a pig," Thorne answered, giving an excuse while hiding the real reason he says this.

"Hmmm, I think they are just using their privilege they are born with," Shamrock said,

"So, you're telling me that you like being labeled the same as them?" Thorne said, shutting up Shamrock since he also did not like the Rosward family.

"Enough, we are nearing our destination," Garling said, seeing the huge castle that had the Abyss Mark that would teleport them to a different island arriving them Thorne suddenly felt multiple presences,

"Is this the recruits?" Garling approached a middle-aged looking man, it was Shepard, who was guiding the other new recruits, but all of them are older than Thorne, with the oldest one looking like 17 years old.

"Yes, Supreme Commander," Shepard answered, using the official title of Garling.

"It seems there are no high-quality recruits. Very well, I have my son to equal these disappointments." Garling said, looking at every recruit.

"Thorne, join them in line." Garling then called his son, who Thorne did immediately, when the other recruits looked at Thorne,

"Thorne, how are you?" Shepard then approached Thorne and made small talk.

"I'm fine. How about you? I heard you were given quite a lot of responsibilities, I know you are lazy to the core," Thorne said, acting as if he were equal and friends with Shepard.

"You know me so well, but now that you are here, just finish your training fast, I can't wait to be replaced and pass all of my burden to you," Shepard said, admitting his lazy nature.

"In your dreams, I'm sure Shamrock would not let you go," Thorne then said to Shepard, to which he just scowled. While talking with Shepard, Gunko arrived and approached Shamrock,

"Leader," Gunko greeted Shamrock, who just nodded at her.

"Do you wish to test your brother to see if he is ready?" Gunko then said to Shamrock.

"No need, we already did that earlier, " Shamrock said while still looking at them.

"Everyone, before officially joining the God's Knight, we would assess everyone of you," Shepard then explained the mechanics, while all of them listened to his instructions carefully.

It was a hunt, a hunt for slaves, but unlike the normal hunt that would also involve civilians, all of the prey were pirates.

"Let's go to the island," Shepard then said, where the abyss mark under them produced a shining bright light, where they are teleported in a island where is full of life and beasts, also the slaves was already there, being fed, ensuring that they are in full strength and health to properly assess the recruits.
