SparkDigital's marketing department was no doubt the largest and most important in the whole company.
The marketing office is a vibrant and dynamic space that reflects the creative and innovative spirit of the team. As you step inside, you're immediately struck by the modern and sleek decor, with bold colors and eye-catching artwork adorning the walls.
The open-concept layout was filled with comfortable work stations and ample with natural light. The air was filled with the him of creative energy and excitement
In the center of the room, a large conference table serves as a hub for team meetings and brainstorming sessions. The walls are adorned with whiteboards, sticky notes, and colorful markers, evidence of the teams love of idea generation and creative problem-solving.
One corner of the office is dedicated to a "war room," where the teams can focus on specific projects and campaigns. The walls are covered in marketing materials, competitor research, and consumer insights, providing a wealth of information to inform the team's decisions.
Throughout the office, you'll find nods to the company's brand and values, from the logo emblazoned on the walls to the branded merchandise scattered throughout the space. The overall vibe is one of creativity, collaboration, and a passion for innovative marketing solutions.
"This over here is the brainstorming wall." Avery followed the hand of his guide— a beautiful petite blonde Omega called Jessica with big brown eyes that hid behind her large glasses and shoulder length hair styled into wavy bangs— to a wall attached with sticky notes that contained ideas, questions and thoughts.
"That's the creative corner." A corner of the wall were art supplies supplies were arranged. "When you are hit by a bout of creativity, you can draw it out here." Avery smiled at the scribbles that occupied the wall.
"The library and data room are over there, and that door to the left is the break room; most of us don't have time to go to the cafeteria so we take our snacks and lunch in there instead." Jessica pushed up her falling glasses— yet again— and fixed Avery a look, "is there anything you want to ask?"
"No, the ambience here looks nice and I like the charged atmosphere; makes me feel like I am going to war." Jessica laughed with Avery.
"Don't mind them if they seem a bit standoffish at first, they are just busy with lots of deadlines to meet up with, they will warm up to you soon once you get used to the office." Jessica assured. "I was a bit intimidated at first when the department head asked me to give you a tour— chairman's grandson and all— but you seem nice." Jessica moved fast with her small size; pushing past co-workers in her suit and five inches heel.
"Here's your team members." Jessica banged her hand loudly on the table, inviting scowls from the people who shared the table.
"Everybody meet Avery Ford, your new team leader and Digital Analytics Expert." Answering hellos followed after Jessica's words.
"Avery this is Natalie Shaw, don't let the smile fool you she's a real psychopath."
"Hey! Don't slander me." Natalie— a tiny girl with bright blue hair, red eye contacts and a flowery dress— yelled. "It's nice meeting you Avery, I am the Email Marketing Experts." She gripped Avery's hand with a force that was shocking for her small frame.
"That's Raymond Thatcher, PS; stay away from him when he hasn't taken his coffee." Raymond— a slightly chubby man with thick black hair and dark brown eyes lined with dark circles— smiled at Jessica.
"Welcome to the team Avery, I am the SOE specialist ." Raymond smiled.
"Thank you."
"That lady over there with the makeup thick enough to rival a cement mixture is Arianna Swayer." Arianna who was at the moment touching up her lipstick shot Jessica a glare.
Arianna was a blur of dyed pink hair, gorgeous makeup and a stylish gown— that made her look more like a model than a marketer.
"It's nice to meet you Avery, I am the influencer marketing strategist and content marketer." Arianna batted her long eyelashes at him. "You have such good skin, you have to share your skin care routine with me later."
"Sure." Avery smiled.
"And that cold beauty over there, is her royal highness, Vivianne Rose,PPC specialist ." Vivianne didn't flinch and remained focused on whatever she was doing on her computer.
Vivianne was beautiful with her peach colored skin, straight long dark hair and black eyes framed by long lashes.
"Vivianne?" Arianna nudged her slightly in her ribs and finally with a sigh she turned to Avery.
"Welcome to the team." Cold, precise and detached. Avery could sense Vivianne's dislike from the cold look of disdain in her eyes.
"Don't mind Vivianne, she's like that, she will warm up to you soon." Jessica tried to defuse the situation.
"Alright Avery, I have to go back to my team now, call me if you have any questions." Natalie side eyed her.
"We are here for a reason you know Jess, he can ask us any questions he want." Jessica huffed loudly and left with dramatically loud steps.
"Where do I start?" Avery asked as he settled Into his seat.
"Take that computer over there, log in and set your password, then we will send you some data to measure and analyze." Raymond said.
The team worked effectively and seamlessly together; Avery fitted into the group immediately and everyone seemed to naturally accept him except for Vivianne who was still cold and detached— she spoke only when necessary— and with the looks her teammates were giving her Avery knew this wasn't her norm.

"Let's go out for dinner tonight, my treat." Natalie— never one to miss out on free food was the first to agree. Arianna jumped on the train the moment Avery mentioned they would be eating at Opulence. Raymond— regretfully— couldn't go because his wife was away for a business trip and he had to watch over the kids.
"I am busy tonight." Vivianne said curtly.
"She means, she's going." Arianna's sharp smile dared Vivianne to argue with her— she scoffed and looked away.
"See you guys at work tomorrow." Raymond smiled and grabbed his bag and left.
"Let's go." They had barely taken a few steps forward before they ran into Ian.
Unlike Avery who was dressed semi formally in a ; charcoal grey blazer, light blue shirt and dark grey pants— Ian was dressed in a slim fitted dark blue suit.
"Avery, I was just looking for you." Ian smiled as Avery arched a brow.
"Why?" Avery didn't hate Ian, but he intended to avoid the male— he had been the cause of the originals character's death in the novel and Avery wasn't keen on a repeat.
"I was hoping we could have dinner together." Ian smiled.
"Unfortunately, I already have dinner plans with my team members." Ian finally seemed to notice the group of three women who were standing behind Avery.
"No problem then, let's go together." Ian offered smoothly.

Arianna's phone had not stopped clicking since the moment they stepped into the restaurant.
Opulence with it's trendy vibes, lively atmosphere and vibrant nightlife was a hotspot for wealthy young people to splurge their money.
Famous for it's social media worthy decor, signature cocktails and global cuisines, it was a hotspot for foodies and the place to be for people who enjoyed a unqie dining experience and a wild party night.
"The bitches at Buzzify are going to wish they were me once they see my posts." Arianna laughed maniacally. "Is this how rich people spend their evenings? I need to get me a sugar daddy." Vivianne shot Arianna a judgemental look
"The food is amazing." Natalie yelled with a mouthful of food, a few specks landing on the tables occupants.
"Ewww." Avery frowned as he wiped off the pieces that had landed on is arm.
"Sorry." Natalie smiled sheepishly.
"Don't talk with your mouth full girl, that just nasty." Arianna glared at her. "Vivianne smile, I am starting the video."
Ian sat awkwardly at the corner picking his food, barely aware of anything going around him.
"Did you and Dylan fight?" Ian spluttered at the the question.
"How did you know?" Avery shrugged.
"You look like a wilted flower, in need for some sun." Ian chuckled at the description. "Want to talk about it?"
"I can't believe Dylan didn't tell me he had an arranged marriage, I just— why am I telling you this?" Avery chuckled.
Of course Dylan and Ian's relationship had to be filled with drama, personally he hadn't liked how much drama whirled around them— deranged ex's, crazy fiancee, unrequited crushes and whatnot— why did love have to be so complicated?
"Well if he's stressing you, you can always dump his ass." Ian laughed.
"You seem different, nicer, in the past you were so out to get me that I wondered what I stole from you."
"Don't get too comfortable."
"Is Dad still insistent on the marriage saga?" Avery chuckled.
"He gave me a month, you wouldn't happen to know a place where I can pick up a husband, would you?"
"Nope."
