As for the basic gear, it belongs to the Silver Wolf set with uniform 10-point attributes, rendering further examination unnecessary. They can be immediately listed in the auction at 8,000 each. The basic equipment depreciates swiftly, and although there are currently no Silver Wolf items for sale in the auction, it is apparent from the influx of wild wolf hunts that these items hold only a slight advantage over the wild wolf variants—likely appealing only to the affluent.

Surprisingly, it took over ten minutes for all six pieces of equipment to be auctioned off. Perhaps even the wealthy were mulling over whether 8,000 was justified for an extra few points of attributes. Ultimately, some affluent buyers emerged; had Wu Shaochen priced them at 10,000, they might not have sold. After deducting fees, a net amount of 43,200 was received—quite satisfactory!

Upon reviewing the Bronze and Black Iron gear, it appeared all were functional. However, the necklace felt somewhat superfluous when worn; eight points of Agility might be of limited use, though Wu Shaochen prized its three points of Luck—a novel attribute likely boosting monster drop rates. He opted to wear it himself, unless a price irresistibly high were offered, in which case he would sell it without hesitation.

Both the ring and the bracelet feature dual slots, permitting two to be worn. Accordingly, he donned the ring without needing to swap out any gear. With the belt, helmet, leggings, and boots replaced, Wu Shaochen's attributes underwent a dramatic transformation.

Observing his new attributes, Wu Shaochen's lips curled into a smile—his stats were extraordinary. Had he possessed such attributes before facing the Silver Wolf King, he would have spared himself the expenditure of over twenty [Instant Recovery Potions]—a considerable sum indeed. It is evident that equipment exerts a profound influence on one's attributes; once properly outfitted, a player can swiftly confront wild monsters solo.

He then retrieved his skill book and his eyes sparkled with anticipation—this was a skill he could utilize himself.

[Swift Surge]: Consumes 50 Mana to instantly grant +50% Movement Speed and +50% Attack Speed for 30 seconds, with a cooldown of 2 minutes; universally available across all professions.

"Good heavens, twice he has unveiled the boss's favored skill—could it be a privilege of the first kill?" Wu Shaochen mused internally.

This skill was exceedingly potent for him, and since it was immediately learnable, he intoned its incantation, causing the skill book to vanish from his grasp, while the solitary skill materialized in his skill bar.

Delightfully, he then examined the remaining two scrolls.

[Protection Scroll]: Upon use, bestows a shield that renders the bearer immune to all damage for 10 seconds.

[Luck Scroll]: Upon use, enhances the bearer's drop rate by 100% for 30 minutes.

Both proved to be valuable treasures, and after safely stowing them, he turned his attention to the lone egg—the pièce de résistance. His eyes ignited with fervor as he inspected it; it indeed corresponded with his conjectures.

[Pet Egg]: Capable of hatching into a Silver Wolf King Cub with randomized aptitude—its maximum rating not surpassing "A" (pet aptitude ranges from the lowest D to the highest SSS, with the upper limit influenced by one's bloodline). According to the oracle, there is no summoner class; every player may carry one pet, obtainable solely via pet eggs, as monsters cannot be captured.

"Splendid indeed. I shall refrain from hatching it immediately—perhaps I'll inspect it further once in the main city, or simply sell it. My paramount objective now is to advance my career." Just as he prepared to list the unequipped gear in the auction house, he received a message from an old friend.

Xue'er: "Do you have any surplus Black Iron equipment?"

After a moment's thought, Wu Shaochen replied, "I have one." He promptly forwarded a screenshot of the [Wild Boar King Leggings] slated for auction. As his sole friend, she deserved his consideration—provided her offer wasn't too low.

Elsewhere, Su Muxue's eyes brightened at the sight of the equipment screenshot from Wu Shaochen. Initially, with her recent ascension to level 9, she had flirted with the idea of hunting Silver Wolves, only to find it overly challenging. With basic equipment offering negligible improvement, she inquired whether Wu Shaochen had any Black Iron gear, and surprisingly, he did.

"Indeed, he appears to have a trove of valuable items," Su Muxue thought, and she promptly sent another message: "Would you be willing to sell this item to me directly? Rest assured, you shall not be shortchanged—I can offer 80,000."

Without hesitation, Wu Shaochen initiated a remote transaction, placing the [Wild Boar King Leggings] for sale.

Su Muxue's price was exceedingly fair. Although the [Fang Blade] had previously fetched 120,000, that was a weapon—and her sole first Black Iron item. While Black Iron equipment does not depreciate as rapidly as basic gear, as a player's level and prowess increase, this level-6 Black Iron item offers diminishing returns. Even on the auction house, it might not command 80,000, especially when fees are considered; direct player trades are free of such charges.

Observing the 80,000 bid, Wu Shaochen confirmed the trade, and the sum was immediately transferred to his bound bank account.

"Well, she must be rather affluent," he mused, marveling at how unflinchingly she spent 80,000 on equipment.

He then proceeded to list the remaining four Silver Wolf pieces at a reduced price of 5,000 each, to expedite sales rather than wait interminably. Sure enough, within minutes, all four were sold, netting him another 18,000.
