It was morning, the birds were singing and chirping, some were flying around. The morning breeze drifted through the village and the farm, setting the greens into a dance, weaving back and forth.
On the road there were children playing around, roleplaying as mages, fighters, etc.. While, some are going to work. It was still early so not everybody was awake. It is a really peaceful village in the outskirts.
The sunlight beamed through the window, hitting the sleeping boy's revealed abdomen. "Ugh.." the boy groaned half asleep, feeling the warm sensation on his belly, he pulled down his half-ridden shirt.
He rolled to the side, trying to see if it's more comfortable to sleep but he didn't realized that he was already sleeping on the edge so he fell.
The boy head hit the floor, making a loud thud sound on impact. He woke up soon after that. The boy rubbed his head as he sit up. "Ow.. ow.. ouch.." the boy turned his head to the side, seeing his bedframe. "Did.. I fell?"
The boy just sit there processing what just happened for a really long time, his mind was not in its best state, after all he just woke up. The boy nodded, finally connecting the pieces together and getting an idea.
"Maybe that's why my head hurt.."
He yawned, then rubbed his eyes. He stood up and looked around, his room was such a mess, there were clothes lying on the floor, books, papers scattered around on his desk and there were some cobwebs on the ceiling.
He got work to do as soon as he woke up, a great way to start the day. he sighed and scratched the back of his head. "Well, this sucks- ouch!"
The boy stretched, cracked his neck and hit his palm with his fist, as if he was getting ready to fight a final boss of the dungeon. "Alright! Let's get this tidied up!"
The boy placed his hand over his mouth, thinking of which place to start cleaning first. He nodded as he decided on which area to start his cleaning.
---------------------------------------------------
The boy, let's call him Orange. Orange is a boy whose age is around 16. He has amethyst colored eyes and black hair, taking after his parents. He's a really independent boy.
His mother was a master swordsman and his father was a master mage, his parents were both high ranked peoples. Capable of fending off monsters alone.
One night, their parents get into an happy situation, they were both drunk so they couldn't really control themselves that much, causing Orange to be born later on. But as soon as he was born, he was thrown away, abandoned because he was an "accident"
Orange, who was an orphan, had to handle a harsh thing called 'life' on his own, managing almost everything by himself, when he's offered help he humbly accept, knowing that being stubborn won't get him anywhere and it'll only make his life harder.
He somehow managed to survived by himself despite being an infant. At the age of 2, Orange was taking into a orphanage at the Villi Village. And at the age of 3 he learned how to speak, the orphanage was really kind toward every child, they took care of them as if they were their own.
Orange at the age of 16, he left the orphanage and went on to get a job, getting a wage enough to buy a small house for him to live alone. Orange sometimes visits the orphanage when he can, he considered them as family.
Orange doesn't know the identity of his parents nor his real name, everyone at the orphanage called him 'Orange' so he just took it as his actual name.
Orange, despite his past and his parents, he tried to be happy, putting on a small smile everytime he interact with someone, he doesn't really let the negative thoughts get to him.
---------------------------------------------------
Orange finished his cleaning session, it took some time but not that much. He wiped the sweat off of his forehead, and let out a deep breath, but not a sigh.
Looking at his clean room, it was shining and sparkling as if a holy spell was casted upon his room.
Orange, feeling pride and satisfied, the edge of his lips curled up, forming a smile.
"Now, it looks way better!" He put his hands on his hips, he was about to praise himself more but knock.. knock.. knocking can be heard from the front door. His head instinctively turned to the sound.
"Coming!" Orange replied, he went to open the door. He turned the door handle, unlocking it. He opened the door, there was a girl.
Her hair seems to be semi-long, she has a blond hair, with brown eyes. She was wearing a blouse, a skirt and boots that are quite long. One notable feature of her is a little scar on the bottom her left cheek. She was grinning, as if she's excited to see Orange.
"Hey, Orange! Wanna go to the capital?"
"Capital? Why do you want to go there, Alice?" Orange looked at her, confused, why does she want to go there? Is something happening like an event or something?
Alice is Orange's childhood friend, they met each other at the village while they were young. All Orange could remember was: him playing insects, then, Alice appeared and they became friends.
"Because I said so! Trust me, it'll be fun!" Alice grabbed Orange's sleeve then, she started pulling him.
"Fine but you're treating me something if nothing's there"
Both, Orange and Alice hop on their village's carriage that was leaving for the capital of the Brales Kingdom. The Brales Kingdom is one of the most, if not the largest kingdom in the continent. The Brales Kingdom was known for its alliance with almost every races, so it wouldn't be surprising to see other different specimen walking around on the streets.
The carriage that they were on was being pulled by a giant fish with four legs, but nobody questions it, it seems the people were used to the bizarreness of the world.
Time flew by quickly, and their carriage arrived at the gate of the kingdom. There were knights wearing huge armors, some had swords around their hips while some are holding spears that are longer than their own bodies.
There was a long line, there were travellers, carriages and merchants from maybe who knows, from other villages? The security here was strict, the guards had scary expression, enough to scare off average thugs. Of course, they couldn't really let any bad guys in the kingdom.
"Ugh.. why is it taking sooo long!.." Alice complaint, clearing tired of waiting.
"Yeah, it is longer than before." Orange, scratched the side of his head. Orange, seeing the impatient side of Alice, he couldn't help but chuckled softly.
Of course, the kingdom's lines were long. It was just a minor country in the past but due to the new king taking over the throne, using his strategic thinking and taking many risks that might lead to the kingdom's downfall if not successful, the once small country became one of the largest and most well-known kingdom of today.
After what felt like eternity it was finally their turn for the gate-check. "Finally!" " Yayyy"
The guards at the gate straightened as the carriage approaches, one of the guards stepped forward, a long spear in his hand. He is a Dogmen and got his tongue out, drooling, but a strange thing is that instead of normal dog ears he had a pair of white cat ears.
Before anyone could say anything the guards started the gate-check. Asking various questions, and checking for dangerous weapons.
"You're good enough to go" He nodded, signalling the other guards to open the gates.
Right after it was signalled the earth seemed to tremble as the large gates open.
The deep sound of iron grinding against the stone, the twin slabs parted, inch by inch. The sunlight pierce through the widening gap. Finally, after some time the path to the capital lay open.
"Let's go!"
