Standing amongst a grave, Kentaro looks down. While holding his bouquet of flowers.
The name engraved on the tombstone, Noelle Benami. Its memorial text etched into the stone speaks. "Taken too soon, avenged too fast."
Kentaro holds back tears as he slowly bends down to place the flowers against Noelle's grave. His eyes just observed, and his thoughts swirled in his mind. Yet on the outside he seemed so calm.
"Mr. Kentaro?"
Kentaro quickly snaps out of his trance and turns his head to look behind him.
Instantly noticing Marin, Ingrid, and Kairo, who was still being dragged by Marin.
"Sorry to interrupt you, but—."
"You really shouldn't be here." Kentaro interrupts coldly.
Looking back at the grave and just quietly staring at it.
The group is standing and looking at each other in concern. Yet all they could do was watch in silence.
The gentle warm breeze caressed them as birds chirped by. Flowers from other graves gifting petals of different flowers in a mixture with the wind. Yet even with such a sight, all Kentaro focused on was his daughter's grave.
"Do you have any favorite memories with her?" Marin asked reluctantly, as she wasn't sure how to approach the conversation.
Kentaro hesitated for a moment, wondering if he continued to ignore them, they'd go away.
"She loved playing soccer. I remember... taking her to her championship game when she was little. She was so excited that she couldn't wait to give it her all..." Kentaro started choking on his words as he spoke.
Marin walked over and crouched beside him to pay her respects to Noelle's grave.
"-and she did, but her team lost... Yet she was so happy. That she got to play, we even went out to get ice cream after. She was so bright for such a young girl. Even as she got older." Kentaro's head slowly looked up to the clear blue sky.
Ingrid and Kairo, watching side by side in silence. While Marin continued sitting with Kentaro.
"I'm sure she would've accomplished so many things. I'm truly sorry for your loss, Mr. Kentaro." Marin expressed as she bowed her head to Noelle's grave once more.
Ingrid and Kairo walk up beside them and also bow their heads in respect. After bowing, Marin slowly stands up and turns to get ready to leave. Kentaro to continue with his own time.
"I hope you'll find some peace. But also, we'd always love to talk to you about it if you ever need to talk." Marin added before waving goodbye to Kentaro.
As the group makes it a few steps away, Kentaro shouts strongly.
"Y-You're right! About her accomplishing things, she would've been such a strong figurehead in this world! But she was taken... Taken because she was different!" Kentaro shouted in anger.
Kairo and Ingrid look at each other calmly as Marin takes a few steps to Kentaro.
"What do you mean she was different? Why would—."
"They were jealous! Jealous of what she could do!" Kentaro expressed as he leaned forward with tears streaming from his eyes as he got angrier.
Kairo stepped forward, his thoughts taking over as he was curious.
"Was she bullied?" Kairo questioned reluctantly.
Suddenly Kentaro broke down fully. His face buried into Noelle's grave as tears dampened the stone.
"Yes! Yes, she was bullied to the point of suicide! Her smile, her brightness—all of it gone because of those! Those! Worthless sacks of shit!" Kentaro was furious as his tears began to shrivel up on his face. His head jerked to the group as he stared them down.
"They got what they deserved!" Kentaro aggressively expressed himself as his eyes slowly dulled along with his anger.
"What happened to them?" Ingrid questioned calmly.
"I-I can't... speak on the matter." Kentaro softly spoke as the gravesite slowly started to calm back down. Silence taking over, leaving everyone in their own stillness.
"I think you three should leave. I'd like to be alone with my daughter now." Kentaro requested, without turning back to the group.
Kairo gently moved Marin and Ingrid to leave. But while the group left, Kentaro looked back once more. His eyes slowly squinted in anger as he watched them leave.
"T-That was intense!" Marin exclaimed as she held her chest to catch her breath.
"I've never seen Mr. Kentaro like that! I mean, that was insane! Was that not—"
"Yes, it was strange... But not as strange as that thing on your face." Ingrid pointed at Marin as they walked.
"W-What's on my . . . Ingrid! We've been over this, you jerk!" Marin shouts as she swings at Ingrid and jabs him right in the face.
However, before she could recover her balance, she also began tumbling to the ground.
WHAM
Ingrid sprawled out as his eyes spun from the blow he took to the face, and Marin lay face first on the ground. Kairo slowly crouched down beside her.
"Still having trouble walking, huh?" Kairo remarked.
Causing Marin to slowly tilt her head to look at him. Her face was all red and scratched up.
"I-I can't help!" Marin embarrassedly expressed as tears in her eyes started blurring her vision.
"You good over there, Ingrid?" Kairo asked as she helped Marin stand up.
Ingrid was not responding as he continued lying there with spinning eyes.
"Damn, Marin, I think you knocked him out cold..." Kairo, she remarked as he crouched down to poke at Ingrid's face.
While poking Ingrid's face, Marin continued thinking about Mr. Kentaro.
"Kairo, what do you make of everything with Kentaro?" Marin asked,
"I think it's sad that such a person was pushed to the point of doing something that drastic." Kairo answered as he continued poking Ingrid's face.
"It's horrible. How can people do—"
"Because people think if they got through bad shit, someone else has to experience it too. It's a vicious game of trauma..." Kairo interrupted as he backhanded Ingrid, snapping him out of his daze state.
"W-What happened?!" Ingrid questioned as he slowly sat up, holding his face.
"Marin... Do you think Kentaro killed Noelle's abusers?" Kairo questioned as he looked back at her. His eyes filled with a serious glare.
