Chapter 10 - Isadonna

Luis didn't expect his Estimated Power to increase anymore after he became the tree.

It was just that, the skill he had was only one, releasing boundless life energy.

Even he could actually feel that the life energy he could release was truly limitless.

The difference between a low level and a higher level might just be the zone that his life energy can reach or how much he can release at a time.

In addition, Luis finally knew what this tree really was as he gained innate information about it, something that all monsters have to know themselves that is passed down through their blood.

This turned out to be called Lifeborn, a rare monster with no combat ability but its ability to energize life often made it fought over by many parties for its ability to help an army.

Even just its seeds are highly contested, especially if it is confirmed that it can give birth to another Lifeborn.

If auctioned in space, the price could be uncontrollable.

'Is that possible?'

Luis controlled several of his branches to the large tree in front of him and then flowed his life energy into the tree which was immediately absorbed by it drastically.

As it absorbed his life energy, it began to grow rapidly. Its height increased by a meter every moment while its seeds below began to shrink.

'It worked!'

Luis was very excited.

He had information that an unborn Lifeborn would be born quickly if it absorbed the life energy of the other party.

This turned out to be true.

The more it absorbed his life energy, it began to appear alive.

Most importantly, it seemed to like him so much that it used its branches to hug him, as if treating him as its parent.

"Great!"

Luis wanted to shout but he couldn't speak in that tree form.

Not long after, the Lifeborn seemed to start reaching a height of 200 meters.

It had obviously already been born because it stopped growing after reaching that height.

Whoosh!

Luis turned into a human again.

He did this to see if the Lifeborn still recognized him.

And as it turned out, it suddenly shrank rapidly until only one small root remained which was then wrapped around his hand.

From that small root, life energy flowed into his body, instantly giving him a refreshing sensation.

"Can you get any smaller?" Luis asked the Lifeborn.

And it swayed in response, as if nodding.

Soon after it became even smaller, turning into a wood ring wrapped around his finger.

"If you want to follow me, then I'll take you," Luis said happily.

He was not a Beast Master, but he helped it be born so it thought of him as its parent.

This made it willing to follow him.

"Hmm, I'll just leave the Monster Core," he said as he stared at the huge Monster Core.

This was not an option as he was worried that the Beast Master could track him through the Monster Core in an unexpected way since it was the Monster Core of his pet.

After that, Luis quickly left there, turning into a small bird to fly away.

And he hadn't gone very far when he saw a large eagle flying fast in the distance towards his compound.

He saw five people on the eagle, all of them residents of the Flying Star Empire.

Four of them were men and the leader was a woman who seemed to be really young, perhaps the same age as Luis.

She was wearing long pants and a shirt covered by a long open coat.

Her body was tall and her blonde hair was long and straight down.

Her face was very pretty with pure white skin and flushed red lips.

However, her expression was so cold that just her gaze gave the impression that it could kill. She seemed to be in a very bad mood right now.

'Damn, isn't she Isadonna...'

Luis was quite surprised when he saw her, a female character he often saw on tv.

She was not a member of the military, but a businesswoman from the Flying Star Empire who did the most business on Planet Velos.

Even most of the Awakener Stores on Velos were owned by her company.

It is said that she came from one of the wealthiest families in the Flying Star Empire and was sent to Velos to train her skills.

'Am I really stealing from a character like this?' Luis wondered.

Of course, although he was excited, he also felt somewhat nervous.

If discovered, it would be difficult for him to escape.

He didn't want to look at them for too long, so he flew further up to the other side of the city.

Only after arriving there did he return to being human and return to the real world.

"I have to hide this thing," he said while looking at the wooden ring on his finger.

He was worried that it would be suspected of being a Lifeborn by people who had a lot of knowledge, so he needed to make sure to put it in a completely hidden place like his pants pocket.

Finally, he put it in his pants pocket.

The Lifeborn didn't protest at all either.

After that, he returned to being a bird.

However, instead of returning home, he chose to enter a random warehouse that had no guards and sleep there in his bird form.

He wasn't planning on going home right now.

At most, tomorrow he would bathe in the public bathroom while buying new clothes.

Tonight, he slept very soundly.

The next morning, he woke up to the sounds of goods being moved.

He opened his eyes, finding that the warehouse where he slept was already open and people were starting to work.

Whoosh!

He immediately flew out of the warehouse, going to a place where he could become human again.

Then he bought new clothes at a considerable price, complete down to his shoes.

He took a shower and put on the clothes which easily changed his appearance from looking poor to looking quite charming.

After that, he had breakfast at a pretty fancy restaurant before heading to his school.

He was still in high school. Although he was lazy to come to school, he still felt the need to come even though it had actually been a week since he had been to his school since he was basically just waiting for graduation. He was already done with his final exams.

Most importantly, at his school there was an extracurricular of the Awakeners that was said to contain a wealth of information including how to construct the Power Core. This was the main reason he needed to go to school.
