There lived a couple named ARIKE AND FEMI. There village was destroyed by heavy rainfall due to the anger of the gods.
There king was a very wicked human along with his chiefs and most of the villagers. Hatred and anger rules the village. ARIKE,FEMI and some few villagers were the only few good people in the village.
The gods ordered the king to change his and his people's ways but the king disobeyed and even insulted the gods. This action made the gods more angry that they caused an heavy rainfall.
Only FEMI and his pregnant wife ARIKE escaped.
As they were running, ARIKE was very tired, then the spotted an abandoned hut and decided to enter.
Then they sighted a pot of water, they drank to their heart content before sighting the queen who was still unconscious.
Water was sprinkled on the Queen's face. She woke up having a serious headache. Her vision was blurry. Then she saw the ARIKE and FEMI.
FEMI gave the queen water and ARIKE dressed her wound.
They all decided to stay there.
FEMI decided to check the in and out of the hut.
He found some food that could only last three days.
