Valarie Lost was a commoner from a forgot town within the Knight Nation of Camelot. Her town bordering the Eastern nation apls had been destroyed during the tragic events of Hyakki Yagyō ,where it had been among the many casualties suffered during that day and as of the ten years since that incident she was the only survivor recorded so as an act for revenge and among other things, she decided to take the path of being a hero.
She wasn't particularly blessed but she was better than average or so her teacher said. So using his words as a baseline among everything else he taught her, she ventured forth to the academic city in hopes of joining a prestigious academy to further her development as a Hero.
Things happened and she had to excuse herself during the first week of school but now she was here, the Legacy academy, home to some of the world's most renown Heroes and her place of study.
For the next four years she was going to spend the rest of her life here.
"Peaceful."
Frankly as she stepped in the academy grounds those were the first thought that filled her mind. Just teenager and youthful adults her age roaming about the academies enormous ground.
The sight was remiscant of her day in middle school before the tragedy of her's struck and she was stripped of everything she cared about.
"Do not let the past define you."
Her master use to say those words and while she used it to cleanse herself of those bad memories, she knew deep down she didn't accept them after all every action she took and will continue to take until she eliminated the mastermind of the incident that took her parents life are all defined by the past.
Her revenge was something born of the past, the resolve that lead her to this academy was an effect of such past hence she was undoubtedly a being defined by the past.
"Class A!"
Muttering to herself, she straightened the wrinkles part of her shirt and coat, then patting her skirt lightly began to march towards the first year student building.
It was still quite early in the morning so only a few students were present as she made her way through the glass door and into the large hallway.
A bit surprise by by how wide the interior was, she found herself looking around with a strange mixture of excitement in her eyes.
Her middle school back then had been relatively small in size since it was situated in the countryside and all that but here, calling it enormous would be an understimated, from the dome like glass ceiling housing numerous chandeliers to the many extravagant decorating across the hallway ahead, made the academy appear as a sort of grand ball which she mostly saw in movies.
"Master wasn't lying when he said, the academy was like a palace."
Overwhelmed she took a step forward only to knock into individual whom was passing right beside her.
"Oh.."
Out of reflex her grey eyes gleamed unnatural as her arms ones laxed shot foward to grasp the individual before they triped.
Saving her in just the nick of time, she sighed in relief and let go, as the individual with features that one might describe as angelic stammered lightly, soon regaining her balance and locking her ocean blue eyes on her.
"Thank you."
Her voice lacking in emotion was unsettling causing Valarie to winced slightly.
"You're welcome."
Replying her gratitude with a smile, she responded taking in the full view of the girl.
She has waist length blonde hair, cascading down her neck and shoulders like a waterfall. She was slender but equally toned and her overall presences like a blade gave of a feeling of sharpness that frighten her a bit.
"I'll be leaving then."
Having no intention of extending their conversation, she turned to leave but ..
"Exchange me!" Valarie called causing her to halt her move and glance back at her without much thought. She remained silent just observing Valarie and waiting for her to continue.
"Do you know where I can find Class A?"
"Which one?"
"First year Knight course." Valarie response causing the girl to show a recation for the first time.
"Name?"
"Huh?"
"I asked your name?"
"...eh Valerie." She stuttered responding as politely as she could.
"I see."
Was it just her but for a moment she saw a burning determination in the girl's eyes but that quickly disappeared as it came.
"If you looking for class A, you may follow me, I'm also in the same class."
"Really, thank you so much!" Valarie excalimed in shock surprised by her luck. Her sense of direction wasn't the best so having a fellow colleague escort her was undoubtedly a pleasant experience.
So without further waiting, She quickly walked beside the blonde girl as the began their walk to class.
Making their way pass the corridor, the came across a few students stepping into their class, some excited, a few exhausted and other neutral.
They also came across teacher, two in particular catching her eye. One was a petite woman with hously green hair and dark spots underneath her dark blue eyes. The female teacher whom seem to have seen the various atrocious of the world followed her teaching partner with a blank expression on her face. As for her partner he was a handsome charming young man whom seem to been a year or two older than her. He has disheveled blonde hair that reached his neck and unforgotten sapphire eyes lingering with mysterious. Those kind of eyes seem to entrapped her as she quickly tore her gaze of him and turn to her colleague whom seem to blush shly as she walked passed the man without his notice.
"Ah..."
As she tried to speak, a sharp glare from her caused her to continue her silence as the two passed by the teacher too engrossed in their conversation to notice them.
Finally one's they were a far distance apart, her colleague turned to her one's more and smiled cruel.
"That male teacher is a beast, avoid him at all cost."
"..."
Confused she turn to her back one's more taking in the sight of the seemilessly handsome teacher walking away.
Compared to the teacher innocent appears and the forced smile of her colleague she was left wondering whom to trust but she didn't have to for long as her blonde girl placed her rough palm on her shoulder sending a wave of pressure that almost caused her to fall.
Sweating buckets she tried her best to remain standing to not attract attention as she navigated her sight to her colleague whom expression seems to now be masked by a shadow.
"His a beast and nearing him will bring really bad consequences."
"...."
"Understood!".
Leaning fowards she whispered into her eyes.
"Yes ma'am."
For her life and a peaceful school life she nod obediently making a mental note to never come in contact with the blonde teacher.
"Very good."
Releasing the pressure and allowing her to breath, she gently patted her shoulder, the shadow now replaced by a satisfied smile.
"Thank you ma'am."
She was the one being hurted but she found herself thanking her colleague whom retrived her hand from her shoulder.
"Ofcourse but call me Trish." Her smile continued.
Whoever this Trish was, Valeria didn't want to get on her bad side. She was crazy and one thing her master has told her about crazy people, is that she should never antagonize them.
