"So this it huh?", Shilo said, looking around himself. "Yes.
This is the town of Sol", Weet answered. "Let's find the weapons shop."
The town of Sol also had the nickname, "Brick Town", because every building was made from red brick, and so were the streets and sidewalks. The streets were made for riders and carriages, for there were no cars in this world. There were also many stalls, where the merchants sold their goods, and by merchants, meaning the native people of this world, not people like Weet and Shillo.
After about five minutes of walking, Weet pointed at their destination, Blacksmith and Merch.
"There it is!", Weet said, "Let's go in!"
We ran and entered the shop, where we were instantly greeted by a friendly feminine voice.
"Hello, and welcome Blacksmith and Merch! How may we be of service to you today?"
Shiilo and Weet turned to meet their greeter, but their expressions immediately became awkward when they did. "A cat maid?", Shilo said. Both boys turned away and walked to the desk, where a cloaked Knight stood, holding a hammer and an anvil.
"Don't like my maids?" He said.
The Knight boomed out laughing. "Hey", he said, glancing over at his cat maid. "Take him to the back and show him the goods". The cat maid bowed respectfully, then motioned for the two boys to follow her. She made a strange gesture with her hands, and a large door appeared before her, which she opened and walked inside, the two boys close behind, and into a dull room with many shelves stacked with boxes of all sizes.
The boxes contained all sorts of different weapons and armor, suited for hunting different animals and or monsters.
"Wow! Such good quality goods!", Weet exclaimed.
"Please do not touch", The cat maid said in a warning tone. "Some of these will kill you if you are not worthy to wield them."
'Spirit weapons?!', Shilo thought. Then Shiilo remembered something. Right, how could he have forgotten….
"Excuse me, but I have no money.", he said, head low.
Nyan looked at Shiilo and smiled. "I know." She said. "Look in your inventory"
Shiilo double-tapped the brown bracelet on his wrist, and in his inventory he saw a breastplate and a double-edged sword that came out and floated before him, with a series of words beside them.
Bronze Great Sword
Level: ⅓
Durability: 72/72
Strength: 3
Description: Even the greatest hero started with one of these.
Bronze Breastplate
Level: 1/7
Durability: 103/103
Armour: 4
Description: Suit yourself.
'Just real basic gear', Shillo thought.
"How much do I owe?"
"It's 4,000 gold, but you can make payments as you see fit.", the cat maid replied.
'Wait, so why did she take me here if she could have easily put whatever in my inventory?', Shilo thought
Nyan smiled again as if she had heard Shiilo's thoughts. "We wanted to give you guys something to look forward to", She said.
Shillo nodded. "I see."
After several more minutes of looking, the three left the goods storage, back through the vanishing door.
Weet bowed towards the standing Knight behind the counter. "Thank you, Sir Knight!", He beamed. "We're leaving now!"
"Ok, Bye!" The cloaked Knight returned the friendly bow, waving them off.
"Well, where to now?" Weet asked his now daydreaming friend, while looking up towards the sky.
Shillo snapped back to his senses.
"Is it time for lunch yet?"
"More like brunch time", Weet answered, chuckling to himself. "We did not eat breakfast, remember?"
Shillo raised his eyebrows. He had forgotten about breakfast.
"I suppose that we have no money for a restaurant. What now?"
Weet pointed towards a tall brick building with a sign that read; Cafe Piano.
"My sister works there. We'll be fine if we eat there"
"Your sister?" Shilo asked, a surprised look upon his face.
"Yessir. It's a maid cafe", Weet answered.
"Ohh. Sounds fine to me."
Weet beamed with excitement. "Then we will go!"
The two of them crossed the street to the other side, and entered the maid cafe. It was a rather large cafe, the front having the tables and benches, that ran back for what Shiilo thought looked like miles, one line on the left and one on the right, with the kitchen in the very back.
"Wow. This is the biggest cafe I have ever seen," Shiilo said.
They took the nearest table on the left side, and began to read the menu.
Just then, a rather petite maid walked over to their table, smiling brightly.
"Hey bro! Who's your friend?"
She had wavy, shoulder length hair jade in color, her eyes the same color with a small galaxy of stars shining brightly within. She had a somewhat child like figure, and her round face and small body made her a cute girl hardly bigger than a fifth grader.
"Hello Chihiro, my dear sister!", Weet answered, smiling brightly. "Meet my new buddy, Sir Shilo."
Chihiro playfully tilted her head and smiled at Shilo.
"It's nice to meet you, Sir Shillo.", She said in childish tone, bowing before him.
"Likewise" Shilo answered. He looked away, raising an eyebrow.
"Are you enjoying it here, sir Shillo?"
Shiilo gave her a lazy look. "Nah. I'm American."
Chihiro took a deep breath and blew out a loud sigh.
"May I take your orders now?"
"Right" Weet said, "I'm ready."
Chihiro took out a notepad from a pocket on her maid dress.
"Okay"
Weet cleared his throat before he began. "One platter of salmon sushi please, and three mochi balls with a cup of green tea."
Chihiro quickly wrote down the order, then turned to Shiilo.
Shiilo shrugged. "I'll just have what he's having", He said.
"Okay, please allow up to fifteen minutes for us to prepare your food.", Chihiro said. She then left to continue her work, and weet took the time out to ask Shilo about himself.
"So, who are you?", he asked.
"Well, I'm the fourth oldest in a group of seven kids, that lived in the United States out in the Pacific Northwest. I was a farmer and musician."
Weet nodded in understanding. "What was your family like?"
"My family is everything to me. My youngest sister, who liked fun and games. She liked to be loved, and she liked to do what the other's did.
My second youngest sister, who likes to read books and likes animals, she likes to be herself, and she likes what she likes, regardless of what one may say of her rather odd tastes.
But I came to learn that she simply was a girl, and she liked what girls like.
Then, the third is my youngest brother, who seems to share similar tastes as I, but has a bolder personality, and likes to live by his own law and good judgment, which can from time to time cause conflict, but never beyond forgivable.
And fourth being myself, One who sees themself to live on different planets, one who's mood and temper often change with the wind. I try to be loving and kind, understanding. and honest, but I constantly suffer from wanting to be an adult, but I am not, so in the end I just end up making an immature fool of myself, due to a lack of patience.
The fifth being one of my older brothers, a person I feel somewhat ignorant of, and in someways incapable of fully knowing and being dose to, being there such a large age gap.
Perhaps maybe when I grow older, we shall truly enjoy eachothers company, and maybe then will I not feel out of place in his presence. There is no smoke between us, and I respect his privacy, for I am not old enough to talk to him like my other brothers. His personality is fair and true, and he is quite funny, and generally doesn't ask much, for he has a very independent and kind attitude.
The sixth and seventh brothers I honestly know close to nothing about. I reach out to them whenever I can.
Oh, and before I forget. The fifth could also be an older sister, who I also don't know much about, other than her being girly and liking horses.
The ninth is a very important cousin. I could also say I don't know much about him, being that I had known him for barely one years time. He was funny and kind, mature and understanding, with a strong will to learn new things.
Then of course, my Father and Mother. My Dad is a very knowing person, a kind of person that does their homework first so as not to be cheated, one who understands the reason for law and righteous judgment. His personality is honest, fair and true to his word, he believes in hard work, and finds all his answers through honest good effort. He will forever be the most important person to me, a shining star that shall never fade from my life as long as I live.
Then last but not least respectfully, is my loving Mother, a fun-loving and kind person, but can be timid and grumpy in business times. She is off at work a lot, and I hope that someday she won't have to, then she can stay home and be free. My Mother is a very hardworking person, and I love her always, just as I do the rest of my family."
Shiilo sighed, though he smiled at the same time.
Weet nodded. "You have a big, loving family. Make sure to take good care of them, and do your duties.", He said.
Shiilo closed his eyes." I know"," He answered.
While the two young men continued their talk, Chihiro was delivering the food to their table.
"Here you are guys," she said. "Enjoy!"
"Thank you", Shilo and Weet both replied in unison. "We won't let it go to waste."
Shiilo said his thanks to God for his food, then he began to silently eat his meal.
"Is it to your liking?" Chihiro asked anxiously. Shiilo nodded.
Chihiro smiled. "I'm glad you like it", she said. "I made it myself."
Shiilo stared at his plate in surprise. 'Wow, can all girls cook this well?', He thought.
Weet smiled as if he had read Shiilo's thoughts. "Chihiro is an exception."
Shiilo nodded in understanding. "I see."
