A day after his grand coronation Drakar slowly recovered and put together his memories. After checking no servants were near him he muttered to himself.
"I can't believe you made me go through all the tough parts and you got to run the show when it was all fun."
*Hey! Both parts were hard also we needed to make sure that everyone was on our side. Trust me pulling the blame of Kenco to fuel our speech while making them forget he existed in the first place at the exact same time was no piece of cake.*
"Ah your right, but still total dickhead move of you."
*Subpar performance at best I would've destroyed their house by now.*
*Thats exactly why you stay at the bottom if we kill them now before the king begins Hell's Royal Dogfight our head would be on a pike by now.*
With a bright youthful smile on his face and stars in his eyes Drakar exclaimed while getting up from his bed.
"I believe its time to tell mother the great news!"
A clash occurred in Drakar's mind right as he finished his sentence half cursing his mother's name and half praising her existence. Although his mind was in turmoil Drakar shut them all out too excited for this moment. Soon, at long last, he would see a bright smile stretch across his face. With a hop in his step Drakar dressed in his finest clothes and walked out of his house heading to his family's manor.
The Mammon family had 8 sections each occupied by one of the heads of the family along with their manor. In each section were many smaller houses which had siblings of the head along with their children. Most of the direct children of the head would stay in their manor. Drakar lived near the edge of the 8th sector of the Mammon estate currently he was headed towards this sectors manor; the reason why Drakar lived outside of the manor was because his birth was a bit of a scandal.
Polycules were rather common in Hell since most people wanted to have as many powerful lovers as possible, so that their souls would intertwine and become significantly stronger. Sadly Drakar's "mother" hated this and when her husband revealed he got another women pregnant she went ballistic. To try and mend his first love Luther sent Drakar's real mother, Nero, away to the streets. With no money to hire doctors and no relationships Nero would have to give birth to him in a raggedy shack far from the center of hell close to the outlands.
With no choice left Nero covered Drakar in a blanket embroidered with a crimson and black coin and walked him as far as she could to the markets. There Davis found the young women and watched as she died in his arms trying his best to calm a screaming child down. After returning home Davis confronted Luther. Luther reluctantly took the child; forcing a young Drakar to live in torment watching as his new mother show love to all his brothers and sisters, yet pale in disgust as she passed by him like he was no better than a cockroach.
But who cares about all that anyway because todays the day Drakar is going to make his mom proud. Soon Mrs. Pai will be beaming with joy because her son is going to tell her some great news. Drakar burst open through the front door and marched up the stairs. With furious determination took a left then a right and knocked on his mom's door. After hearing a welcoming "come in" Drakar pressed the door open.
With a smile stretching grin to grin Drakar posed in the doorway and watched as his mother's face lost all the light she once had.
'Wait why did her mood turn so foul? Ah she must not have heard the news no matter!"
"Mo-Mother did you uh... did you hear! I've become the representative for the Mammon household."
Disinterested Pai quicky looked at him then turned her face back into her book.
"I see, good for you."
"Uh... mother you reali-"
"If thats all you had to say then you can leave. I understand the situation perfectly fine, bye."
"B-b-b-but you were supposed to- I mean this is a... Why didn't you..."
Holding his head Drakar's eyes darted back in forth his eyebrows scrunched up and he begun to scratch his head with both hands. Desperately he tried to muster up the confidence to talk to her again but nothing came out. The room filled with silence now Drakar awkwardly began to walk away. Right as he left the room Drakar looked back to see if there was something anything.
He prayed he would see just a single emotion it didn't matter what it was, but as he turned he was met with an empty gaze which pretended to read a book he knew she finished years ago. Nothing, she felt nothing, after all these years Drakar's hopes were shattered in seconds. As Drakar walked away something rang in his ears.
*You must get stronger do something greater.*
"Thats it, hahaha I'm so stupid she's not disappointed she just already knew I'd win that. That must be it I mean duuuh even I knew that I would represent this family it all makes sense. I just got to do something really cool and knock her socks off for real. Yeah soon she'll care real soon its just a matter of time."
