The training field at Sungjin Academy was packed.
Today's lesson?
Solo combat evaluations.
One-on-one duels in front of the whole 1S class.
Jinhyuk stood at the edge of the line, hoodie on, face shadowed, uninterested.
Until a familiar, sharp voice cut through the crowd.
"I choose Kang Jinhyuk."
Gasps. Whispers.
Jinhyuk sighed internally.

"Seriously?" he muttered, walking forward.
She smirked. "Don't worry. I'll finish this fast. You can go back to your nap after."
---
Instructor's Voice Echoed:
"Match start!"
Instantly, lightning erupted around Jiyeon. Sparks arced off her body. Her heels left the ground. She looked like a goddess of storms.
She launched forward with a booming dash.
"Let's see you dodge this!"
---
But Jinhyuk…
Tilted his head slightly.
Stepped to the side.
Grabbed her wrist mid-strike—again.
"Same trick twice?" he whispered.
He let go, and she tumbled backward, eyes wide.
The crowd gasped.
"W-What…?"
"Next time," Jinhyuk said, brushing dust from his sleeve, "don't hesitate. Lightning only works if it hits first."
---
Instructor's Evaluation:
Jiyeon: "Fast, reckless, predictable."
Jinhyuk: "Unranked… but terrifyingly composed."
---
Aftermath:
Jinhyuk walked away, hoodie up, back to his corner seat.
Jiyeon stared at her hands, clenching her fists.
