The marten girl shook her head furiously "That name is wacky, I want another"
Tang Xilong was surprised when someone said no to one of the names he mentioned for the first time "Tang Baobao?"
The marten girl shook her head
"Tang Ximei?"
"No"
"Well.. Tang Ruqiu?"
"Nope"
"Tang Tangtang?"
"Tang Tang never bruh"
"Tang Caixia?"
"Nah"
"Errm. Yin Weiwei?"
"I want only the Tang surname"
"Tang Weiwei?"

"Tang Ruihan?"
"Sounds like a boy's name"
Tang Xilong sighed "Gimme a break, what type of name do you want?"
The marten girl placed a hand on her chin "I want a good name that's all"
Tang Xilong took a deep breath "This is the last choice and if you don't like it then I'll give you the first name I mentioned and there's nothing you can do about it"
The marten girl pouted and folded her arms "Two last choices"
Tang Xilong raised his hands in defeat "Fine, two more. Tang Xiaqi or Tang Xiaomi?"
The marten girl exclaimed excitedly "Tang Xiaomi! That's it! That's the perfect name for me"
Tang Xilong sighed in relief "Finally am free, I could just sleep right now"

Before Tang Xilong could reply the system, Tang Xiaomi said "Hello System, I hear you too and you're right, we should get out of here before those damnable beasts come again like last night"
Both Tang Xilong and the system were astounded then Tang Xi'an asked Tang Xie'er "Xie Gege, who.. err is system?"
Tang Xie'er answered "The system is the one who brought us all together, I think he should be our grandpa since am sure he's way older than me"
Tang Xilong asked the system "Yo system, did she just reply you, you're in me right so how did she hear when even Tang Xie'er and Tang Xi'an couldn't?"

Tang Xilong held Tang Xiaomi and asked "You can hear what the system says?"
Tang Xiaomi said "Of course, we are one soul two bodies now since I am still in my early sentient so I will naturally be the second body of my master's soul. To prove my point, The system last sentence was 'Hehe you're a true father and daughter set aren't ya? Hah!'. I am correct, right Xi Gege"
Tang Xilong smiled "It's good, System, you're in two minds now haha"
Tang Xiaomi shook her head "No Xi Gege, it's one mind two separate ways of thinking"
Tang Xilong laughed "Okay whatever you say, Xiaomi"
Tang Xilong told them "Okay guys time to get moving but system, where is the safest to hide for the night?"
*{System: Haha, it's fifteen kilometers away and you only have about four hours before the sun sets. How are you gonna get there in time?"}
Tang Xilong shrugged as they got out of the tunnel "We'll run"
*{System: You'll run for fifteen kilometers straight!? Well you could do it but I don't think the other three can though}
Tang Xiaomi whispered to Tang Xi'an then Tang Xi'an said to Tang Xilong "Xi Gege, I can run.. fifteen kilometers nonstop but .. can only carry two.. since am not as strong enough.."
Tang Xilong held his head "How could I forget that you're a coyote okay then you carry Xie'er and Mimi and follow me closely"
Tang Xie'er shaked his head "Xi Gege, I'll run so let Xi'an carry you and Xiaomi instead"
Tang Xilong folded his arms "Can you run for fifteen kilometers without stopping and still be in good shape?"
Tang Xie'er scratched his neck "Uhh I could try.. ehnn I could just change into my second form and you throw me into your mind space then you can get on Xi'an so you won't have to run"
Tang Xilong was surprised "I forgot that you aren't human either"
Tang Xiaomi turned back into her marten form then flew towards Tang Xilong then spoke to him through their contract 'Xi Gege, am not human either, hehe so you carry me in your arms as Xi Jie carries you and run'
Then the other two changed into their forms then Nana flew to Tang Xilong and Tang Xilong hooked him on his belt. Tang Xi'an walked to him in her three meter tall two meter wide Fire Breathing Coyote form then bent down and said through the contract 'Xi Gege, get on"
Tang Xilong hopped on her while carrying Tang Xiaomi who had already slept off in his arms and Tang Xi'an said "Hold on tight!"
When they were about two kilometers away from their destination, the system suddenly sent out a warning which woke Tang Xiaomi up
Tang Xilong was confused "System, what's wrong?"
*{System: If you can go any faster then I suggest you do so like right now!}
Tang Xilong told Tang Xi'an "Run as fast as you can, Xi'an. So system what's going on?"
*{System: A freaking beast horde just appeared out of nowhere six kilometers behind you and they are gaining speed oh no it's five kilometers now. What the heck! It's still half an hour before sun set. Beasts are not even supposed to even show their tail before then so where did a beast horde come from?}
Tang Xilong was spooked "What! A beast horde? The place we are going to. Is it safe enough?"
*{System: That place isn't safe enough for a beast horde, you have to turn after the next five trees and keep going for three more kilometers then you'll see a half opened cave a few meters above the ground. If you get there, you're safe but we must be quick, the horde is only four kilometers away now}
Tang Xilong told Tang Xi'an the same thing the system said and she replied "Xi Gege, am gonna use.. innate skill and ..we get there.. twenty minutes but.. hold tight cause its fast"
Tang Xilong nodded as he held her fur tight and placed Tang Xiaomi in his clothes and threw Nana into his mind space then the wind became sharper as Tang Xi'an's legs lit up with fire
Then they felt the ground shaking and Tang Xilong asked "The horde must be two kilometers away now."
*{System: Correct. Aiya do some kind of barrier or whatever to at least keep them away when they get closer cause they will reach you before you reach the cave}
Tang Xilong thought of something and black fire five meters long five meters tall came out from the ground a meter away from them. The fire was moving at their speed
*{System: I knew I struck silver when I got you as my host but damn I didn't know you're actually gold, that fire is freaking hot}
Tang Xilong was also admiring the fire when he was beasts of different sizes and species coming "Ehnn, system? Do you have an all animals and plants knowledge anything that you can impart on me, I wanna at least know what I see and kill"
*{System: Nah, later, I don't wanna distract your focus}
The beasts only reached three meters away from the fire when their bodies started burning and when they got closer, they had gone out of existence so when Tang Xilong realized that some were about to avoid the fire. He made the fire bigger and encircle him and Tang Xi'an in a one meter space
Some beasts went around but some still went to the fire and got burned
*{System: Hah! Sick trick}
Tang Xilong became pale "It might be sick but am running out of devil energy faster now are you almost there?"
*{System: Look up, we are already here, just tell your coyote to jump towards that hole. It should fit her then you should roll the stone to block the entrance}
Tang Xilong said to Tang Xi'an through contract 'Xi'an, jump to that hole above, you can do that, right?'
Tang Xi'an was terrified when she saw the hole fifteen meters high and shook her head 'Xi Gege, sorry Xi'an can't jump that high'
Tang Xilong looked at the beasts who were evading his fire which was dimming "Okay, transform into your human form, I'll throw you there, get ready to hit hard surface"
*{System: Or you could just throw her into the beast space while she's still in her beast form?}
Tang Xilong asked with shock "I have that!?"
*{System: 乁˘o˘ㄏ I guess I forgot}
Tang Xilong rolled his eyes then jumped off Tang Xi'an and threw her into the beast space while he looked around and jumped straight towards the cave. When he reached inside, he cancelled the fire and turned around to roll the stone shut then the cave became dark and he lit a little black fire beside him which lit up three meters around him
*{System: You should call out the coyote girl and save your energy, let her lit up the way for you}
Tang Xilong asked "Way? I thought this was a cave?"
*{System: A hole, a cave and a tunnel, I told you they're the same thing to me duh. This is a tunnel which leads straight through the third mountain and out of the fourth one as we are already in the second one}
Tang Xilong brought out Tang Xi'an who had changed back to her human form and Tang Xie'er who was also back in his human form "So you're saying this tunnel will take us through three mountains, what or who built this tunnel?"
*{System: It wasn't built, it was destroyed in a battle.}
Tang Xilong told Xi'an to lit up fire then she brought out a thick branch from her cloth then tore a sleeve and wrapped it tight around it then she breathe fire onto it "Xi Gege, how's this?"
Tang Xilong was surprised by her efficiency and patted her head "Wow, Xi'an, you've surprised me. Good job now can you still walk?"
Tang Xi'an nodded happily then Tang Xilong brought the sleeping Tang Xiaomi out of his clothes and thought 'This little girl can sleep through anything, I should just let her rest, she's only a day and a half old afterall'
Tang Xilong then walked forward "Okay Xie'er and Xi'an. Let's start moving, we have no time to waste. Tell me when you get tired"
Tang Xie'er immediately held Tang Xilong's sleeve on the right while Tang Xi'an started walking on his left
Tang Xilong noticed Tang Xie'er's clingyness but paid no mind to it 'Let him be clingy, it's no big deal'
After several hours of walking, Tang Xi'an's pace became obviously slower that she lagged behind a lot then Tang Xie'er said to Tang Xilong "Xi Gege, Xi'an is getting tired, should we rest for a while"
Then Tang Xilong finally realized that Tang Xi'an was dragging her feet behind them "Xi'an, go rest in the space"
Tang Xi'an nodded and disappeared then the fire disappeared also and Tang Xilong lit his own black fire which had become a bit brighter then he asked Tang Xie'er "Are you tired? Do you want to rest?"
Tang Xie'er shook his head "I can't leave you alone"
Tang Xilong patted his head "I'll be fine now go into the space" and before Tang Xie'er could say anything, Tang Xilong sent him into the space instantly"
Tang Xilong then sat on the ground to rest a bit "System, is there any thing in my inventory that can restore my devil energy?"
*{System: There are only two mortal energy restoration pills but I have an idea just hope it works}
Tang Xilong asked "Tell me, what is it?"
*{System: Well, you can send your mortal energy to your dantian to be refined into devil energy just don't finish it and am not sure if-}
Tang Xilong already got into position and was sending his mortal energy to his dantian then blood leaked out of his lips
*{System: (￣ヘ￣;) Huh! Impatient host}
It failed and Tang Xilong spurt blood "Damnit"
*{System: Maybe you should just stop and take re-}
Tang Xilong didn't answer the system and started the whole process again
*{System: Okay misterman if you wanna shock me at least let my sentences end first geez}
After trying again for two times, it finally worked and his mortal energy decreased by three quarter while his devil energy increased by half then he stood up and his black flame turned red-black "Okay, system my flame kinda mutated?"
*{System: of course, don't you know using other energies to increase your own energy is kind of like a taboo? And not so easily accomplished, many have died from it}
Tang Xilong shrugged and continued walking "Who cares about taboo, to survive, I'll break as many taboos and rules and use as many forbidden things to live! I don't care what the others think about"
*{System: Now I feel cool when you say that but unless you can't hide it. Don't let anyone know about your mortal cultivation or your forbidden elements. You're not strong enough to protect yourself and others yet}
Tang Xilong rolled his eyes "Of course I know that now stop yapping so I can a save a bit of strength"

After two hours, Tang Xilong felt Tang Xiaomi squirming in his clothes so he brought her out then she transformed into her human form and fell onto the ground before Tang Xilong could even react
Tang Xiaomi winced "Dad, it hurts"
Tang Xilong stopped in his tracks "What did you just call me?"
Tang Xiaomi pouted "It was reflex okay not my fault. I only called you Dad, what's the big deal. It was a mistake now don't get all frowny with me, am the one on the floor who should be crying but lucky for you I am smart so I won't cry but my butt hurts so carry me!"
Tang Xilong rolled his eyes but still bent down anyways "For a baby, you're pretty chatty"
Tang Xiaomi got on his back happily "Would you prefer me talking like a baby and crying at my every need cause I would gladly do that"
Tang Xilong shook his head "Nope, talk all you want, it'll make this place less gloomy"
Tang Xiaomi then glanced at the black red fire floating in front of them brightening the place "Xi Gege, how is your flame so bright like a normal bright orange one?"
Tang Xilong shrugged "I don't wanna get to the bottom of it so as long as it is bright then it's alright"
Tang Xiaomi then asked "Yo Grandpa, how is Xi Gege's weird flame so bright, there's no sensible logic no matter how I look at it"
*{System: Who are you calling Grandpa? Little girl}
Tang Xiaomi shrugged "You answered so you're grandpa but you should have a form, right?"
*{System: No, I don't have a form, am just a soul with no body and I can't get a body until Mr lazy host over here reaches tenth level in both his cultivation which would take at least a few years}
Tang Xilong scoffed "You know I can hear you, right?"
*{System: So what if you heard me. Heh not like you could beat me}
Tang Xiaomi then said "Grandpa, don't change the topic"

Tang Xiaomi replied "But Xie Gege said you're like our grandpa even Xi Gege's too"
Tang Xilong laughed "Oh he is definitely not my grandpa, too old, he should be ancestor"

Tang Xilong just laughed at the remark "So what. You can't beat me either, haha"
Tang Xiaomi laughed too
*{System: Why are you laughing?}
Tang Xiaomi rolled her eyes "I want to laugh so I laughed. Is my mouth your mouth or did you give me my voice? Why can't I laugh when I want to laugh? Must I ask for permission before laughing"
Tang Xilong laughed even harder after hearing that "Oh my System, she got you hard hahaha!"
*{System: (↼_↼) oh I see, Father and daughter ganging up on me ehh? Fine not like I can do anything, I just have to put up with it}
Tang Xiaomi giggled "Grandpa admitted defeat"
Tang Xilong said "Okay stop teasing him or he might faint from old age"
Tang Xiaomi nodded and dozed off the next second
Tang Xilong realized she fell asleep "What the? Does she fall asleep if she isn't allowed to talk?"
*{System: She's not even two days old so she's literally a newborn, she might be in first level middle stage but she is still baby so take good care of her cause you are her father since you found her even if you don't want to accept it or you can just treat her like your baby sister}
