The egg seemed to be radiating spiritual energy much pureier than those he absorbed at the mountain.
Itekan turned to see the queen staring at him, then she spoke.
" Son of man, you are trespassing, on my lands" she said, facing him.
Itekan felt himself go numb as he looked at her, the antennas on her head twitched softly as he curled in front of him.
" What have you come here for, I let you use my children as your play tools for days, because of who you came with, however if you dare to step foot here even he won't be able to save you" she said.
Itekan, looking at her knew instinctively that he could not attack, it was like the roles had been reversed and he was now a mere ant in her sight, one she could kill without thought or remorse!
Yes! A bug that's he was before her.
Itekan's mind raced around looking for a way out, he knew his father was close by, a could him if it got out of hand, however something she'd said, made him rethink that.
Being bold he asked.
" You know my father?"
" Yes, I do, every creature that roams these parts knows him"
" Why do you think he won't be able to save me from you" Itekan continued, there was a pause as if she was contemplating answering him or not.
" Because, there are laws, even one of the ranks of legends can't just careless break" she said.
Itekan gulped, if he understood clearly, even though his father could save him, he would not be able to because he's restricted by laws.
" How about, instead of you killing me, we play a game !" Itekan said desperate.
" A game, why should I, I have nothing to gain from this" she said, opening he mouth to show rows of uneven yellow teeths that would make a great white sharks ple in comparison.
She came down on Itekan, about to swallow him whole.
" Wait!, wait!" Itekan shouted, he couldn't move, even knowing she was about to gobble him up, he couldn't move.
" Speak!"
Itekan mind worked on overtime, he thought fast, wondering if there was anything he could offer for his life, just then he recalled something his father had mentioned while discussing with the town doctor, a few weeks back.
" You have nothing to say?" She asked, once again opening her large mouth.
" Let's play a game!" Itekan said again.
" This again, we already we-" she started.
" I know, I know, hear me out, please," he pleaded, noticing she stopped her attack, he resumed, " , have you heard of a bloodmoon stone" Itekan asked,he knew she would definitely know it.
" Who do you think you are speaking to " she said.
" Sorry! " Itekan pleaded, "then you know about it's ability to increase the purity of the blood and cultivation of demonic beasts" itekan said, watching her, for any sign that she was following.
" Go on"
Itekan knew he had scored, now just to finish it.
" I happen to know, where they can be harvested, if you let me go, with the golden egg-" he added, immediately she hissed, " come on!, you can't just keep threatening me" itekan said.
The ant queen, hissed again in displeasure.
" I will lead you there!, okay!, I'll get you to them, you can harvest and then your cultivation level would increase." Itekan said.
" How so you know I won't just kill you then" she asked.
" I don't, I am betting on the off chance that you would not need to " Itekan said.
What seemed like a smile appeared on the queens ant face.
It was horrifying.
The she spoke.
" Your offer is truly unique, and on other occasions I would have agreed however, I am dying" she said
Itekan froze.

Outside Carpathia could still feel Itekan's spiritual energy signature, all beings capable of wielding spiritual energy had one, distinct, and reserved for them alone.
He could still hear his heart beat inside the cave, he was alive, Carpathia knew it but he had no idea what was going on in there, he had tried to peep through Itekan's shadows but he couldn't, it was as if the door has been slammed shut in his face.
Those damned laws, he couldn't go against them even if he wanted to, as a hero in the legend form, he was banned from intervening in other human problems the same went for these beast, he could kill them if they stepped out of their territory, However, if they hadn't, he could not intervene no matter what occurred there.
He had just sent his son into a literal walking bomb.
***
"I'm dying"
Itekan could not believe what he had just heard.
" What! Why?" Itekan asked.
" Ho! Aren't you supposed to be pleased, if I die, I can't kill you " ske said.
It was then Itekan noticed the softness of her voice, like she was mourning, he looked to where the golden egg was, then he saw it.
A scar running down her body, the veins on her body seemed to be popping out, they were a bright shade of red, which contrasted her pale bluish skin tone.
" How ?"
" How! I thought you humans knew already, a few months ago I was about to advance to a Grade C beast, it was during this time that I was attacked, by another Grade C beast; the 12 horned beak, we fought for three days till I emerged victorious, however, I didn't come out unscathed, I had this wound you see now, and a couple others.
Before it died, I realized it had not been in full control of itself, it had been mind controlled to storm my domain, as it died it relayed to me, who had done it asking for vengeance and left with me, her -"
" Her egg" Itekan finished, she nodded affirming his word.
" However I discovered that this wound could not be healed, no matter how hard I tried, you see I was about to advance, before my fight, and because I didn't, my core has gotten overwhelming and was destroyed, causing my body to fall apart from the inside out"
She said.
Itekan unconsciously walked to the queen, and layed his hand on her gaping wound.
She hissed, but did not stop him.
" Son of men, I have a request, if you would do this one thing I would let you leave, with the egg too" she said
Itekan looked at her different now, feeling a tug in his heart, he nodded.
" Kill them, the ones know as the Chrisom Knight, help me have my revenge, for both me and it's mother" she said.
" I Itekan Lie, will have your revenge for you" Itekan said boldly, she watching him nodded and moved the egg to Itekan, who picked it up, it was much heavier than it looked, it was nearly three times the size of his head, itekan saw.
Then before his eyes she layed her head before him, Itekan knew she was dying, it seemed she has willed herself to live until she had done this one thing.
Her skin paled even more, she died.
Itekan bowed slightly before her dead body then left her chambers.

Itekan stepped outside to the midday sun, he didn't realize he had spent that long there, before he knew it, he fell, exhausted, in that moment Carpathia was by his side.
" I got it, Dad" Itekan said weakly.
" Well done, I never thought otherwise" Carpathia said softly as the egg emitted a dark fog, then disappeared into Carpathia's shadow.
" You did, good son!"
" Dad, who are the Chrisom Knights?" Itekan asked drowsy, stopping Carpathia in his tracks.
" We can discuss that another time, sleep now child" Carpathia said as they faded into the air.
