-------------------------------

But she was not alone. Throughout disparate regions of the continent, every girl and woman who had received one of these mysterious diaries found herself grappling with a sudden flood of questions. And just as their minds struggled to absorb what they had read, the diary updated once again.

[Today was the day of the Martial Soul Awakening Ceremony, and I was one of only two individuals to awaken a martial soul with soul power. To my astonishment, I awakened not one but two martial souls: Dragon Chains and Wise Eyes of the Dragon. However, I chose to conceal my second martial soul during the ceremony.]

All the women who read this entry were left in a state of shock. Twin Martial Souls—a phenomenon so rare that only two documented cases existed in the continent's history. In one instance, a person attempted to develop both souls simultaneously, which led to an intolerable internal conflict that ultimately exploded, ending in death; in the other instance, the individual not only survived but rose to power, eventually becoming a Titled Douluo and creating a unique method of cultivating both martial souls. That person was none other than Bibi Dong, the current Pope of Spirit Hall—and now, a diary copyholder herself.

Spirit City, Pope's Hall

Seated on her grand throne, Bibi Dong silently perused the purple-covered diary labeled "Bibi Dong's Exclusive." Though her expression remained composed, her fingers gripped the pages with enough force to nearly tear them apart.

"Twin Martial Souls... just like me." Her golden eyes sparkled with a dangerous mixture of intrigue and suspicion, and the mention of a dual cultivation method quickened her pulse.

'Could he become a threat? Or perhaps... an asset?' Her mind raced, calculating every possibility. If the diary proved genuine, then Satoru Tenshin would require close supervision—or even elimination—before he could grow up totally.

As the heroines struggled to absorb the weight of these revelations, additional entries emerged, further shaking their understanding of the world.

[In addition, I received a diary system with various functions powered by LP, though I still do not know what the "L" stands for. Writing in the diary earns LP, which can then be used for its other functions; the amount earned depends on the word count and depth of the content.]

[It has three primary functions: Celestial Glimpse, Synthesis, and Scan. The first function grants divine-level insight and inspiration. The second is a limited form of the first, while Scan allows one to copy the contents of books, documents, and texts—storing them within the system for later reading, and even scanning memories if enough LP is accrued.]

Reactions varied among the experienced and cunning heroines; many responded with concern or envy. They immediately recognized the potential threat posed by the system's abilities—especially Scan, which could offer a dangerous advantage if misused. Some even began drafting strategies to suppress or manipulate the host. Meanwhile, the younger, more naive girls were simply curious—until the complexity and implications proved too overwhelming, causing them to quickly lose focus.

Then came another startling revelation.

[Putting the system aside for a moment—when testing my innate soul power, I deliberately limited it to show only level 7. In truth, I possess Complete Innate Soul Power. I concealed my full talent to avoid suspicion. After all, having two people with high innate soul power in the same small village would be too conspicuous. Especially since the other individual also secretly possesses Twin Martial Souls.]

[How do I know this? Simple—because that person is Tang San, the protagonist of the first book. And, well, one of my martial souls has the innate ability of Analysis, which I may or may not have employed on him...]

That single entry ignited a storm. The revelation that Tenshin had hidden his true talent divided the diary holders. Some, well-versed in the darker realities of their world, saw his discretion as prudent—a necessity for survival. Even Bibi Dong, though frustrated that his potential had not been exploited for Spirit Hall's benefit, grudgingly respected the decision. Others, however, could not fathom why he would squander an opportunity to join a powerful sect or secure valuable cultivation resources.

Yet that debate was abruptly interrupted by an even more startling confirmation: Tang San—another child from the same village—also possessed Twin Martial Souls. Although the name initially went unnoticed by some in their shock, it soon resonated powerfully among all who read the entry.

Moon Pavilion

Within her elegant quarters, Tang Yuehua—an embodiment of grace and refinement—paced in visible distress. The green diary, emblazoned with the silver title "Tang Yuehua's Exclusive," lay open on her desk as the name Tang San echoed persistently in her thoughts.

'Could he be... my nephew?' The idea stirred both hope and dread within her. 'No. It is too early to be certain...' she reasoned, striving to keep her emotions in check.

[Now that I think about it, Grandpa Jack will soon have to choose between me and Tang San for the single work-study spot that Holy Spirit Village holds at Nuoding Academy. In the original plot, that spot would have gone to Tang San—but my presence has altered the equation.]

[Realistically, I believe Grandpa Jack will choose me. He could feel some pity for Tang San and a hint of affection because of it, but he has essentially adopted me as his own grandchild. Moreover, although my displayed innate soul power is only at level 7—compared to Tang San's level 10—there is one crucial detail: neither of us revealed our second martial soul. To everyone else, I appear to have only a chain martial soul, while Tang San's martial soul, Blue Silver Grass, is widely considered useless. That disparity gives me the edge.]

Most of the heroines agreed. From a superficial perspective alone, a chain-type martial soul carried more promise than Blue Silver Grass, irrespective of innate soul power. And if Grandpa Jack were to favor Tenshin more, the outcome appeared increasingly inevitable.

Curiosity swirled once again around Tang San. The mere presence of the surname "Tang" paired with the contradiction of a weak martial soul alongside Complete Innate Soul Power raised even deeper questions. What, then, was his second martial soul? And who are his parents?

[Not that I care much about his fate. To put it mildly: I don't think highly of Tang San—but to be honest, I detest him. Even though he's the main character of this era, knowing what he's done—and the extent of what he'll do—makes it hard to view him positively.]

At first, many of the women were baffled. Why would anyone harbor such disdain for the supposed era's protagonist? But then came the final revelation—a dramatic shift that forever altered their perspective.

[Tang San's parents are Tang Hao, known as the Haotian Douluo, and Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor—a 100,000-year-old soul beast who took human form. Tang San inherited Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer as his Twin Martial Souls. Yet, before he was born, Spirit Hall discovered Ah Yin's true nature by... let us call it an "accident," which triggered a relentless pursuit.]

[They fled, but after Tang San's birth, they were ambushed. Ah Yin sacrificed herself by becoming Tang Hao's ninth soul ring, allowing him to escape with the child. But that was not the end.]

[The Pope of Spirit Hall perished from injuries sustained during the skirmish. In retaliation, Spirit Hall unleashed its fury upon the Clear Sky Clan. However, upon realizing the disadvantage, they decided to retreat, abandoning their longtime allies - the Four Unique Attribute Clans.]

[At first, blame was placed squarely on Tang Hao. After all, humans and soul beasts have always been natural enemies, and Spirit Hall was only fulfilling its duty. Years later, Tang Hao desired that Tang San return to the clan, express gratitude to his ancestors, and offer an apology.]

[When he was weak, Tang San acknowledged his father's faults. Yet as he grew in strength, he began to rationalize every decision made by Tang Hao. Such revisionist thinking... it is difficult to respect.]

[Tang San's "morality" seems conditional. When he is weak, he displays humility; as he grows stronger, he becomes condescending, and his respect evaporates when it no longer serves his interests.]

[For example, when he was weak, he respectfully addressed Dai Mubai as "Boss Dai." Later, as their power levels neared parity, he casually switched to calling him simply "Mubai." These small details speak volumes.]

[As for Ah Yin... should I feel sorrow? Perhaps, but she made her choices. Why did she choose Tang Hao, who possessed little charisma, no wisdom, and was hardly attractive? Perhaps love truly is blind.]

[So I cannot bring myself to feel sympathy for her. Unless some unseen force was behind the scenes, every event here is the product of her own decisions.]

[I think that's enough for today.]

The heroines were left utterly speechless. The revelation that Tang Hao had taken a soul beast for a wife—and that Tang San was the product of such an improbable union—upended everything they thought they knew. Yet none reacted as intensely as Tang Yuehua. After years of silence, she now had news of both her brother and her nephew. The relief brought her to tears, though Tenshin's blunt commentary left her conflicted. 'Who is he to pass judgment on my family?' she fumed internally, though doubt lingered in her heart.

It was not only her who was unsettled. Every woman—from the most experienced to the youngest—felt an insidious discomfort. Tenshin's portrayal of Tang San starkly contradicted of what they expected, instead presenting an image of opportunism, hypocrisy, and hidden ambition. Hierarchies of power were nothing new in their world—but could such a person truly be the "chosen one"?

(Douluo Dalu World: I'm not involved! So do not point fingers at me.)

The revelation was profoundly unsettling.

While Tenshin unknowingly left a multitude of women and girls wrestling with a torrent of questions and revelations, he exited the "Write" function and received a system notification:

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for completing the first diary entry, triggering a critical reward: 1,000 LP.]

He was astonished by the LP earned from a single entry. The system explained that the reward was due to a critical trigger. Satisfied, Tenshin settled into bed and quickly drifted off to sleep, determined to make the most of the upcoming month after such an eventful day.

Meanwhile, the diary holders—some still reeling from the shocking revelations, others silently reflecting on the implications—remained awake well past midnight. They stared into their diaries, waiting and hoping that Tenshin would write again.

Then, suddenly, the diaries lit up, but instead of another update, a notification appeared:

[Ding!]

[People who possess a copy of the host's diary must abide by the following rules:]

[Rule 1: Individuals who read the diary every day for an entire week will receive a random increase in soul power between 0.001% and 1%.]

[Rule 2: The person mentioned most by the host each day will receive a random reward at midnight.]

[Rule 3: The existence of the diary must remain concealed—especially from the host, Satoru Tenshin. Violation will result in all rewards being revoked, memories erased, or, in severe cases, death.]

[Rule 4: Anyone whose soul power exceeds the host's by more than ten levels is prohibited from contacting him unless naturally encountered or absolutely necessary. The diary will indicate when it is safe to approach.]

[Rule 5: Any harm directed at the host by a diary holder shall result in death.]

[Rule 6: Diary holders must coexist peacefully and are strictly forbidden from stealing or sabotaging each other's rewards. Violators will face severe consequences.]

[Rule 7: New diary holders will receive a random soul power increase between 1% and 10%, with continuous daily reading ensuring a comparable annual boost.]

The heroines were stunned but also intrigued. Not only would reading the diary grant tangible rewards, but it also promised growth in soul power. Still, many remained skeptical—was it truly real? Their doubts evaporated as each one suddenly experienced a faint but unmistakable surge in soul power.

In Spirit City, Bibi Dong narrowed her eyes.

At the Zhu Family Estate in the Star Luo Empire, Zhu Zhuqing halted her thoughts.

In Heaven Dou City and at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, similar scenes unfolded.

And in the Moon Pavilion, Tang Yuehua sat in stunned silence. For years, her cultivation had stagnated at level 9, her martial soul having long hindered her progress toward becoming a Soul Master. But now—

She could feel it. Her soul power had increased—by 6/100th!

It was real.

The changes confirmed the diary's authenticity. And if that was true, then Rule 2—where the person most mentioned each day receives a reward—became even more significant. Just as excitement mounted, another message appeared:

[There will be no rewards today. Instead, the following is a list of possible rewards:]

[Random Soul Power Increase: A direct and random increase in one's soul power.]

[Knowledge: Knowledge delivered in the form of books, scrolls, manuals, or documents spanning the present and past.]

[Fragments: Collectible shards that enable access to the following skills:

 • Heavenly Glimpse – Provides divine insight and inspiration to solve complex problems or develop new techniques. (Requires 30 fragments per use.)

 • Synthesis – A more accessible version of Heavenly Glimpse that utilizes the user's current knowledge to analyze and refine skills or information. (Requires 10 fragments per use.)

Note: Duration for Heavenly Glimpse is capped at 10 minutes, per use, and depends on the user's soul power, spiritual strength, physical condition, and willpower.]

Excitement buzzed through every diary holder. Not only could they enhance their strength and gain access to hidden or lost knowledge, they could potentially utilize some abilities from the Tenshin's system. Even if the acquisition of skills required the collection of fragments and were not guaranteed, the possibility alone ignited their ambition.

For many, the random soul power increase reward seemed trivial in comparison—but not everyone viewed it that way.

Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan

Ning Rongrong stared intently at her diary, its cover a vibrant pink adorned with her name in rainbow-colored letters. Her eyes darted across the pages as her mind raced. She had not yet awakened her martial soul, so she was uncertain whether her soul power had indeed increased. Still, a burning curiosity took hold.

'If the diary truly enhances my soul power… does that mean it might also affect my innate soul power? Could I—hypothetically—awaken as a Soul Master with full innate talent just by reading it every day until my ceremony?'

The thought set her heart racing.

She was not alone in her speculation.

Star Luo Empire – Zhu Family Estate

In her quiet room, a sharp-eyed Zhu Zhuqing clutched a black-covered diary with trembling hands. And like Ning Rongrong, she was not yet six years old, so her martial soul had not yet awakened, and she also considered this possibility.

If this diary was genuine, then perhaps her future might not be as bleak as she had feared.

Like Ning Rongrong, she had time—some more months.

And now, she had hope.
