Chapter 4 - Change of script? ーof course

A few days had passed since Itami was sent to the city of Italica, just like in the anime. During that time, Sera had made huge progress with her magic. She first focused on strengthening her body, then learned how to control the energy around her. She managed to create fire and control the air with ease.

She could now lift herself about ten meters into the air using magic. Her physical strength had grown so much that she could crush a tank's outer shell without much effort.

But she needed more energy to keep her body strengthened for extended periods. She planned to evolve her physique—refine it until it could sustain that power flawlessly, without fading after just a few seconds.

Today, Sera was finally ready to begin her journey through this world. The airfield was full of activity as soldiers and workers prepared her jets and helicopter. Sera wanted everything to go perfectly, so she told them they would be rewarded if there were no mistakes.

But even without rewards, no one dared to fail. They were too scared of Sera to even think about doing something wrong.

The military had raised their alert level, not for defense—but to avoid angering her. Everyone knew today, Sera would leave the Alnus Hill, some were relieved and some concerned.

After a few hours, Sera arrived at the airfield dressed in a sharp white shirt, black suspenders, high-waisted pants, a one-shoulder cape, and sleek gloves. The moment she stepped into view, everyone present snapped to attention and saluted in perfect sync.

With a wide, arrogant smirk, Sera raised her voice, "Ha! This is thrilling—truly! To walk into a new world. Don't you agree, people?!"

Her troops didn't flinch. They nodded in unison, disciplined to perfection. These weren't just any soldiers—they were the result of Sera's past life knowledge, molded by her cruel standards into elite warriors. Physically superior, unshakably loyal, and absolutely obedient, they stood as the pinnacle of what a human army could be.

Emily, always faithful, gave a bright smile. "Ma'am, it truly is a day to remember. And you look exceptional."

Sera chuckled, pleased. "Why thank you, Emily. Now then—let's begin the show."

Sera stepped onto her private helicopter, a flawless blend of luxury and combat. The cabin was fitted for comfort, yet armed to the fight—just the way she liked it. Behind her, the fighter jets roared to life, engines howling like beasts ready to hunt.

In seconds, the jets blasted off, breaking the sound barrier with thunderous cracks. Their formation was tight and precise, arranged to keep Sera at the center—untouchable, shielded by arms and speed.

The threat? Obviously the fire dragon.

Moments later, Sera's helicopter lifted into the sky with smooth, effortless grace. The fleet soared as one, leaving behind sonic echoes that rattled windows and shook the ground below.

At the JSDF base, the ground trembled as the deafening roars of jets tore through the sky. Soldiers and refugees alike stopped what they were doing, their eyes drawn upward in stunned silence. The piercing sound boomed overhead, a terrifying yet awe-inspiring display of sheer power.

General Hazama stood at the balcony, arms folded, his expression unreadable. "Why... does the government allow her to make such aircrafts?"

Lieutenant Yanagida, standing beside him with a clipboard in hand, whistled low. "Twelve jets and a gunship alike helicopter… just for one person. That's seriously insane.."

Refugees whispered quietly, "What was that thing? ...That woman seems really respected here.." Others just nodded in fear and awe.

...

In the quiet hum of her private helicopter, Sera lounged back against her seat, one leg crossed over the other, eyes gleaming with twisted amusement. 'I could always travel this world at my leisure… but it seems the Valkyrie mission in Italica is already in motion. How dull it would be to let it play out like the anime. No… I need chaos in this damn script.'

A wicked grin curled her lips. Without hesitation, she grabbed the comm and gave her command, voice laced with arrogant thrill. "All units, divert course. New destination: Italica. I want the sky above that city ASAP"

The pilots acknowledged immediately, no questions asked. They never did. Emily, seated beside her, blinked at the sudden shift. "A change in plan, ma'am?" she asked, though there was no surprise in her voice—only curiosity coated with excitement.

Sera chuckled, brushing her fingers under Emily's chin. "Don't look so puzzled, Emily. You know I hate things get boring. And there is something that will make my whole travel more satisfying"

Italica

Rory danced through the chaos with glee, her halberd slicing through flesh and steel alike. Each bandit that fell was a symphony to her ears—blood and death, the music of her nature. Then, without warning, a blade carved through a would-be attacker behind her. Kuribayashi had arrived, eyes gleaming with bloodlust.

"Couldn't let you have all the fun," she said with a grin. Together, the two women tore through the horde. Bandits fell one after another, their screams drowned by gunfire and fury. A beautiful duet of violence.

Itami and Sergeant Tomita provided cover, rifles cracking as they eliminated threats with precision. Above, the aerial unit moved. Unknown to this world, armed helicopters fired with brutal efficiency, erasing every bandit in sight. The border wall of Italica ran red.

Then, Itami's radio crackled.

"Third Recon, this is Hunter One," came the cold, clipped voice. "You have ten seconds to clear the area. Then we will begin the clean-up of the engagement zone."

Itami panicked and then took Rory in his arms, and Tomita took Kuribayashi.

But then, all of a sudden,

A thunderous boom tore through the sky like the roar of an animal, silencing every soul on the battlefield.

Then came the voice—sharp, commanding, impossible to ignore. "ATTENTION! THIS CITY IS UNDER THE PRESENCE OF MISS SERA. STAND DOWN."

The sound came from above, where the citizens, the knights of Italica, the JSDF, and even Princess Piña looked up in awe and fear. Twelve aircraft soared in perfect formation, a spectral dance of metal and thunder. At their heart was a single, regal white helicopter—opulent, graceful, and utterly terrifying. It was unmistakably Sera.

The jets screamed overhead, tearing through the sky with such power that hearts pounded and lungs froze.

"STAND DOWN, EVERYONE!" Colonel Hazama's voice rang out, strained and sharp. His face tightened as he barked the order—he wasn't about to risk provoking her. Not after hearing the rumors… and witnessing this display.

'Tch. She was supposed to be traveling… now she's here, in Italica?' He sighed inwardly, dread prickling down his spine. Nothing about this would go as planned now.

Princess Piña's blood ran cold. First came the "flying horses of steel" of the Aerial unit, ripping through the bandits like they were paper. Now this—this woman named Sera, whose arrival brought every soldier to a stop with a single word. Her knights faltered, and the princess herself took a shaky step back.

The helicopter landed with a powerful gust, blades slowing as the storm they brought settled. When the door opened, all eyes were pulled to the figure that stepped out.

Sera stepped out, the sun catching the gleam of her gloves. Her cape flowed like black silk, and the wind tousled the pink strands of her hair, making them dance in the breeze. She wore black sunglasses.

She walked with casual elegance to Itami's group, lips curled in a smirk. "So, you all are the ones helping this little city fend off bandits?"

Itami nearly stumbled over himself, adrenaline spiking. Itami was stunned to see Sera speak to him. He had always been a fan of hers. "Y-YES MA'AM!" he shouted, dropping Rory from his arms and snapping into a salute.

Kuribayashi's eyes sparkled as she gazed at Sera up close, captivated. The others, however, were less enthralled, their thoughts focused on the urgent question: 'What about the battle?!'

Sera eyed him, amusement dancing in her gaze. "To what end? A peace treaty between Japan and this rubble?" Her tone dripped with disdain. Sera hated the idea, even back when she watched it in the anime. Peace through talks and quiet deals? Boring. She preferred chaos—fun, wild, and full of surprises. But she wasn't some crazy killer who attacked everyone for no reason; her chaos had style.

Her eyes drifted to the pile of dead and dying bandits. "Pathetic. Lieutenant Itami, inform the General that I will handle this situation. In my own way."

Itami stiffened. He wanted to argue, but that air—choking, absolute—left him no room. "U-understood, ma'am…"

Just as Sera turned away, a bandit, screamed in anger, "You bitch! We're not here to play—DIE!"

In an instant, even the sound of his curses had vanished.

Emily moved like a phantom, her katana flashing in the air. The man's scream was cut short. His head and both arms fell separately to the ground.

A single, wet thud followed.

Silence.
