Chapter 12 Tech Expo
"Please Habby, you have to help me."
Yang Le looked at Peter who was clasping his hands together, constantly begging him, feeling helpless.
"Peter, no matter how I want to help you, I can't if you don't speak up."
Yang Le and Peter were buying lunch at a Burger restaurant outside the School, while Gwen and Mary Jane were in the School Auditorium.
Time rewinded to the morning.
Gwen's skills easily gained the approval of Mary Jane and the others. In the end, they unanimously agreed to Gwen's joining and told Gwen about their Plan. They planned to perform at the next Homecoming.
Gwen was overjoyed. Just as the girls were chattering about which songs to learn, Yang Le interrupted their discussion.
"So, what's your Band's Name?"
This question was much more important than the choice of songs. Imagine, before the Performance, the host announcing.
"Let's welcome the No Name Band!" Wow, that would be ridiculous.
The girls started discussing.
"How about calling it the Midtown Band?" Bassist Betty Brant suggested. "Anyway, we are all students of Midtown High School."
"That's too unoriginal, Betty." Keyboardist Glory Grant facepalmed. "Midtown High School has had at least ten Midtown Bands."
"That's right, and as far as I know, the other Band competing with us for the dance Performance opportunity is also called Midtown Band." Guitarist and lead singer Mary Jane lightly tapped the guitar hanging on her body with her Finger.
"Their taking this Name is obviously trying to suck up to the Principal." Gwen twirled the Drumstick in her hand.
Suddenly, Gwen stood up and put the Drumstick to her mouth like a microphone and said, "Next, let's welcome Midtown High School's Midtown Band to perform."
"Ew! No offense, but that's not rock and roll at all," Betty stuck out her tongue, saying disdainfully.
"So what should our Band be called?" Glory clutched her hair in distress. "This is much harder than exams."
The girls racked their brains, but Yang Le, who raised the question, slipped away at this time.
"Lunch time, anyone want a delicious Burger?" Yang Le's suggestion was quickly responded to.
"You're so nice, Habby!" Gwen cheered, raising her hand. "I want a cheese Meal Set from BEEF MAN."
"BEEF MAN? Gwen, that restaurant is a street away." Yang Le was covered in black lines. He originally wanted to just grab something at Burger King outside the School gate.
"Please, Habby." Gwen's watery eyes flickered as she looked at Yang Le.
"OK, OK." Yang Le raised his hands in surrender. "What about the others? Let's make it clear, only BEEF MAN's."
Mary Jane and the others looked at the interaction between Gwen and Yang Le and smiled at each other.
"We just want ordinary Meal Sets." Mary Jane smiled somewhat ambiguously, making Yang Le feel inexplicable.
Yang Le didn't care, grabbed Peter, who was pretending to be a statue, as a coolie, and left together.
As soon as Yang Le left, Mary Jane and the others immediately surrounded Gwen.
"Gwen, what is your relationship with that Habby?" Betty looked at Gwen with a gossipy face.
"What relationship?" Gwen was confused by the question. "Habby is my Friend?"
"Please! Don't pretend, Gwen." Mary Jane's disbelief was written all over her face. "I noticed it yesterday, he is simply obedient to you, okay?"
Being told this by Mary Jane, Gwen thought about it carefully and found that Yang Le seemed to have never refused her requests.
'Could it be?' Gwen also became a little unconfident, but she didn't show it and pretended to say indifferently.
"It's really just a Friend relationship, it's just because Habby is a nicer person, you'll know after you spend some time with him." Gwen waved her hand. "Compared to that, our Band's Name hasn't been decided yet."
Faced with Gwen's stiff topic shift, Mary Jane and the others did not press further. Indeed, it was more important to decide the Band's Name first.
Back to the present, Yang Le and Peter were carrying everyone's lunch in bags and bags. Yang Le was also thinking about how to help Peter pursue Mary Jane. Because of the influence of the 94 version of Spider-Man animation, he had been shipping Peter and Mary Jane as a CP since childhood.

"New York Expo welcomes you to visit." A person wearing a doll costume handed over a colorful Flyer. After Yang Le took the Flyer, he turned around and continued to distribute Flyers.
Yang Le lowered his head and read it. Peter on the side also poked his head over to look.
"Oh, it's the Tech Expo organized by New York City. Many tech companies will participate, even Osborn Company and Stark Industries will come!" Peter stared excitedly at the Flyer, as if he wanted to see through the Flyer.
"If you could be like this when facing Mary Jane, that would be great." Yang Le glanced at Peter.
"Right!" Yang Le had a flash of inspiration. "Peter, how about asking Mary Jane out?"
"Ah? Habby, are you crazy!" Peter exclaimed, attracting pedestrians to look back frequently.
"Tech Expo, look at what a perfect date location, it's perfect for a nerd like you, the exhibits you are interested in will give you courage." Yang Le didn't care about Peter's question, waving the Flyer in his hand.
"You want Mary Jane to see your shining points, isn't this perfect?"
"But how do I ask her out? I don't dare to go alone." Peter said dejectedly.
"Our Mr. Pi is very bold, wanting to ask a girl he just met twice out on a date." Yang Le teased.
"Going out alone is definitely not going to work, Mary Jane won't agree to this request, but a group activity is different, you can suggest everyone go together." Yang Le folded the Flyer and put it in his pocket.
"That's right!" Peter's eyes lit up after hearing Yang Le's words. "You are really a genius, Habby! But will they be interested?"
"You have to ask Gwen for help with this, let our boss Gwen sound them out." Yang Le felt thirsty after talking for a long time, took out a Cola from the Bag and took a sip. "And presumably Mary Jane won't refuse the first group activity of the Band."
"So you want me to help Peter woo Mary Jane?"
After returning, Yang Le took advantage of the time to distribute food and pulled Gwen aside to tell her Peter's Plan.
"Help little Peter, the kid finally mustered up the courage to pursue a girl." Yang Le handed the Burger and Drink to Gwen, and whispered in her ear.
"OK, OK, you don't have to get so close, I can hear you." Gwen reached out and pushed Yang Le away a little, and pretended to tidy her hair, covering her slightly hot ears.
'It's all Betty and the others' fault!' Gwen felt that it must be the previous conversation that affected her. She now felt that the atmosphere between her and Yang Le was weird.
"Let's make it clear first, I will try my best to fight for it, but I can't guarantee whether Mary Jane and the others will agree."
Gwen looked at Peter not far away who was playing the role of a food-serving uncle, and actually had a feeling that her child had grown up.
"Can he really do it?" Gwen looked worriedly at Peter, who was blushing when handing a Burger to Mary Jane.
"Oh, we don't need to worry about this." Yang Le shrugged. "Maybe Cupid has already registered them?"
