Chapter 20 - A grim reaper's judgement

~Bleh!~

A new female assistant to Tina threw up after seeing the scars on Henry's body. At first, she blushed when he took off his clothes and showed off his surprising development for a teenager.

But when she focused and saw the different scars on his body and how vivid they were, she subconsciously pictured how he got them, not being able to handle it, she ran to a nearby sink and threw up.

Seeing this, Tina sighed. She wanted Henry to get healed by a healer, but surprisingly, no healing magic was working on him, even for a high-rank healer.

"What are you doing Henry?" She asked Henry who was already in the tube.

"I'm ready," Henry said. Tuna picked up his clothes and threw it at him.

"Come out here, it's a quick test we're running not an experiment. I just need to collect some blood samples from you." Tina explained.

"Oh..." Henry said and started to wear his clothes.

"And besides, you shouldn't take your clothes off before my staff. You're no longer a kid and your body isn't exactly pleasant to look at." She said and got no reply from Henry who was looking blankly at her as he buttoned his shirt.

"Let's get this over with so you can go back," Tina said, and Henry complied.

~Swoosh~ A strong wind blew past the alleyway as a young lady with floating blonde hair and red eyes passed.

In her hand was a scythe made of blood, scraping through the ground without making noise only leaving tiny traces of blood behind.

The twenty-seven-year-old lady was used to getting the fear reaction from people whenever she passed by. So she wasn't surprised why everyone who saw her froze in fear, but she couldn't care less she liked things the way they were.

Her silent movement, red glowing eyes and bloody scythe made her into a horror character brought out straight from a novel.

It was the day she was visiting her brother.

Olivia, who was wearing a white flay gown, headed straight for the training room.

She was drop-dead gorgeous, but men couldn't care to think that way of her. They didn't even have the guts to imagine her while getting ready to beat their meat in the night. Her reputation makes her sound like a grim reaper who will come after your life.

She reached the training room, got a chair and sat down. Meanwhile, Henry was mentally preparing himself to meet her; while walking towards the training room, he heard the murmur of the people staring at him and how they pitied him.

He didn't exactly know how to picture her, but from what the people were saying, he was already beginning to imagine a witch with a black dress, lipstick, long black nails and unkempt hair.

On getting to the training room, he saw an angelic figure sitting in the middle of the training room. It was different from what he imagined, quite the opposite. She was beautiful, dressed in white, but the bloody scythe that was floating beside her was something else.

She was flipping through the pages of a book she was reading when she noticed him; she looked up from her book and at her brother.

It was Olivia's first time seeing her brother since his birth. He was cute, even more so than the reports she got, and his blonde hair, which was the same colour as hers, made her feel a kind of bonding with him that she had never felt with either Riley or Raphael.

They both stared at each other for some time, having the same blank expression on their faces until Olivia broke the silence.

"Ugh...hi?"

"..." Henry's silence wasn't intentional. It was because he was in shock. 'Hi? Who the hell says that nowadays.' he was so surprised that the witch he imagined was so simple and kind of clueless.

Her blank facial expression showed how ignorant she was of the awkward greeting. Henry was relieved; at least he knew that he was dealing with a human.

"Hi," Henry replied.

"So...I came here to kill you." This is another shocking, plain,, and straight-to-the-point statement. Henry hadn't fully recovered from his shock earlier and is faced with another one.

Was she threatening him? If she was Henry felt pity for her, enough pity that he wanted to help her threaten him. It was already obvious that she is not very sociable. Who the heck doesn't sugarcoat an intention like that.

"Really?" Henry asked in annoyance.

He knew he was supposed to be grateful that she came clean unlike his tricky siblings but it was still heartbreaking for his first conversation with his elder sister to b about her killing him.

With a sigh Olivia clised her book, out it in her storage and stood up. "I'm not good with words, so bear with me," she said.

"You think? Then again, I'm not surprised you tell your brother, whom you're meeting for the first time that you'll kill him, it's what everybody wants anyways." Henry added.

Olivia paused to look at him, she noticed the change in his expression, he was sad.

"Let's get this over with... I might be better off dead. But I'm not going down without a fight." Henry pulled out a sword and got in a fighting.p

" . . . "

A weird silence followed afterwards, as the gentle wind brushed by. Henry was calm, but the moment they locked eyes, his heart skipped a beat.

One look at Olivia eyes and you would think that she's not readable, but Henry could see everything, all the emotions that had piled up inside her; hatred, malice, anger, bloodlust and most of all... Sadness.

Olivia immediately grabbed her scythe as she felt this weird sense of vulnerability to Henry. She felt like he could see everything in her.

"You are charged for three offenses, but I will hold you guilty for only two." She said as she started walking slowly towards him. "The first crime is being born into this family." She said making Henry give her a questioning look.

Maybe she was right after all, being born into this family was proven to ba a crime against himself, so he partially understood her.

"Your second crime is being weak " She continued. She wasn't lying, he got that a lot. It was the painful truth since he had never defeated an opponent before.

"And for your third crime..." She stopped a few steps away from Henry and paused. "...is hoping while you're weak." Henry's eyes widened. He was begining to understand her. She was going to punish him for not being able to save himself.

"Like I said, I'll only charge you for the last two. Your birth wasn't a choice given to you." She said and pointed her scythe at Henry.

"Now prepare to be punished!"
