The old Fairy Council had crumbled during the war, its chambers left in ruin. Now, Lucky called a gathering—not of politicians, but of people.
Representatives from every realm came: earth-fairies, skyborn, water-gliders, star-kin, even a delegation of dwarves and centaur envoys.
Lucky did not sit on a throne.
She stood, barefoot, on living grass that grew in the hall's center.
"We don't need rulers," she said. "We need roots. Connection. Balance."
They debated for days, but when they emerged, the new system was formed: The Circle of Grovekeepers—rotating guardians who listened, shared, and grew with the people.
Lucky declined a seat.
"I'm still learning," she said.
