Chapter 17: Gentle and Charming

Boss Yue?

The young woman had just called Min Rou "Boss Yue." Li Nanfang, who had been planning to teach Min Rou a lesson and warn her not to play any tricks on Yue Zitong, was stunned. He had been about to lecture her, but now he was completely bewildered.

Now you're shocked, aren't you, you scum?

Seeing Li Nanfang's stunned expression out of the corner of her eye, Yue Zitong felt particularly pleased. Her mental state was much better than usual when she was in front of Li Nanfang. She was clear-headed and calm, and she could make the right decisions in just a few minutes on matters that usually required careful thought.

After half an hour of busy work, Li Nanfang had witnessed the Elegant demeanor of a modern female CEO. One after another, several department heads from Kaihuang Group came to her office to report. Each of them saw Li Nanfang sitting on the sofa, and they must have been wondering who he was, but no one spoke to him. They walked up to the desk and reported to Yue Zitong with respect.

Finally, the real secretary, Min Rou, walked in gracefully and poured a cup of tea for him.

"Are you Min Rou?" Li Nanfang asked, rubbing his stiff face and smiling bitterly.

"Yes, I'm always Min Rou," Min Rou replied, smiling playfully and giving him a wink before leaving the office.

"Gentle and charming, just as someone described her to me," Li Nanfang said, his eyes wandering again.

"What are you talking about?" Min Rou asked, slightly confused, then blushed and scolded him softly before quickly walking out.

Li Nanfang had clearly said "gentle and charming," which meant someone had described Min Rou to him. No girl dislikes being praised behind her back, even if the person praising her is a scoundrel.

"Gentle and charming, that's Min Rou. What about me?" As soon as Min Rou left, Yue Zitong's cold voice rang out."You?" Li Nanfang turned to look at the beautiful CEO sitting behind the desk and hesitated for a long time before shaking his head. "You are the kind of proud, cold, and somewhat wild woman that makes men want to worship you at first sight," he said sarcastically, with a fake look of admiration on his face.

"Really?" Yue Zitong's vanity as a girl was starting to show. The frost on her face thinned by at least two layers, and there was a hint of uncontrollable pride in her eyes.

Just as she was about to say, "You have good taste," Li Nanfang smacked his lips and said, "But even with your queen-like pride, which I dare not offend, what does it matter? You still crawled into my bathtub and delivered yourself to me, didn't you?"

"You——" Yue Zitong's face froze, and she stood up abruptly, grabbing the water cup and glaring at him. "Do you want to die?"

"No, I don't," Li Nanfang replied honestly. "I just can't stand your arrogant attitude. Yue Zitong, I'm warning you. You can act like a big shot in front of your subordinates, and I don't care how you got that gun. I just want to tell you to be polite to me in the future. If I'm not mistaken, my coming to Kaihuang Group was also a decision made by your elders. So, you better put away those tricks of yours. Otherwise, I'll leave anytime."

Looking at Li Nanfang, who was spewing saliva, Yue Zitong wanted to rush over and smash his face with the thermos. She thought she had the strength to do it. But at the same time, she couldn't forget what Yue Boss had said: "Try to make him satisfied with you."

Chapter 18: I'm Your Aunt

If Yue Zitong had met Li Nanfang in her true form yesterday, he would have been extremely surprised and might have disliked her because of his aversion to her. But he wouldn't have insulted her with words. How Yue Zitong ended up in the United States with a gun, Li Nanfang didn't care. After all, everyone has their secrets, and he wasn't interested. As for the coincidence that they had that kind of relationship, could it be blamed on Li Nanfang? They could have just pretended it never happened. She could be his aunt, and he could be her nephew. Whether she disliked his early aging appearance or was disgusted by his current rapist identity didn't matter. The important thing was that she provided him with a position to protect her closely and treated him like a transparent person. He just needed to fulfill his promise to his master and ensure her safety for a year. After that, he would leave without any complaints.

But what did she do? She let Min Rou pretend to be her, tricking him and making him call her "aunt"—that was her mistake. Li Nanfang hated being deceived, so he used these extremely harsh words to humiliate her when she was feeling very pleased with herself. Yue Zitong's reaction to being humiliated was not unexpected. Li Nanfang was ready to flip the table and show her his true colors when she tried to throw the cup at him. He expected her to smash it at him, but she hesitated.

Li Nanfang had been in the underworld for a long time and had a very sharp eye. He immediately realized something and sneered, "Hey, do you really want to kill me but are afraid of your elders' strict orders, so you dare not do anything to me?"

This scoundrel's eyes were really useful. Yue Zitong cursed him in her heart but didn't say anything.

Li Nanfang knew he was right and took advantage of the situation to push his luck, "Go ahead and smash it. I promise I won't dodge. But if you dare to hurt even a single hair on my body, I'll complain to your elders and make you pay the price——""Go to hell!" Yue Zitong had never seen such a shameless man and couldn't stand it anymore. She threw the thermos, but it flew over his head and hit the wall behind him with a bang.

Li Nanfang pretended to be scared, shrank his neck, looked at the small dent on the wall, and then looked back at Yue Zitong, who was breathing heavily in anger. He had an even more shameless expression on his face and pointed to his head, saying, "Come on, Yue Zitong. If you dare, hit me here. I won't dodge if I'm a hero."

"You scum, are you ever going to stop?" Yue Zitong screamed in frustration, slamming her hand on the table so hard that the pen jumped.

She wanted to rush over and strangle him several times, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Instead, she vented her anger on the table, making the pen jump again.

"Yue Zitong, you look really ugly when you're angry," Li Nanfang said, making a face as if he was going to vomit. He enjoyed using his sharp tongue to ridicule a seemingly powerful girl who dared not fight back. It felt great to finally get back at her for being tricked. Yue Zitong grabbed a pen from the table and glared at Li Nanfang, "Don't provoke me anymore. I'll really kill you."

"You won't dare. If you had the guts, you would have done it already," Li Nanfang said. "Now you're just a beggar trying to look tough, and it's only making you look uglier."

"I'll kill you, you scum. I swear," Yue Zitong said through gritted teeth.

"Come on, I'm right here, waiting for you to strike," Li Nanfang said, enjoying her suffering.

The angrier Yue Zitong was, the happier Li Nanfang felt. Just when he was about to go too far, Yue Zitong finally calmed down and said with a "friendly" smile, "I'm your aunt."

"What?" Li Nanfang was stunned."I said, I'm your aunt. You shouldn't call me '老子' (a vulgar term). My father is your master's real father," Yue Zitong explained calmly.

Li Nanfang realized he had gone too far in his得意忘形and had given her a chance to regain the upper hand. His face changed, and Yue Zitong noticed it. She smiled and said, "I know you were trying to provoke me so that I would kick you out. In fact, you must have promised my sister to behave and let me 'reform' you, right?"

Li Nanfang forced a laugh and said, "Yue Zitong, your imagination is too wild——cough, you should write novels."

"Don't try to cover it up. It's pointless," Yue Zitong said, walking back behind the desk and tapping it. "Sit down, let's have a serious talk."

Chapter 19: The Saintly Aunt

Li Nanfang sighed inwardly. He knew that his overconfidence had cost him the advantage he had gained, and now they were back to square one. It was a painful lesson.

"First of all, I need to emphasize one thing," Yue Zitong said, regaining her confidence as Li Nanfang's frustration showed. "You can't call me '老子' because, by seniority, I am your——"

"Aunt. I get it. This awkward relationship is just a fact," Li Nanfang said irritably, lighting a cigarette and putting it in his mouth.

Yue Zitong's eyebrows furrowed slightly. She wanted to tell him that no one was allowed to smoke in her office, but she held back for now, not wanting to provoke him again. "Yes, I agree it's awkward, but it's the reality."

"Alright, let's skip the nonsense. What's next?" Li Nanfang asked impatiently.

"Secondly," Yue Zitong said slowly, taking out a cigarette from the drawer and lighting it gracefully. "I've noticed that you seem to have a good impression of Min Rou."

"Unlike some women, she's not violent. It's normal for a man to like her," Li Nanfang replied."Who said I was violent?" Yue Zitong glared at him, about to slam her hand on the table again, but she stopped herself, remembering how hard it was to gain the upper hand. She just humphed.

"You know better than I do whether you're violent or not," Li Nanfang said coldly. "Remember when you held a gun to my head and told me to move——"

Bang! Yue Zitong finally slammed her hand on the table, her face turning red, and she said in a menacing tone, "Li Nanfang, don't push me! It won't be good for either of us."

Li Nanfang thought about it and agreed. There was no point in provoking her without any leverage. It was better to compromise. "Alright, go on."

"I can help you with that," Yue Zitong said, putting out her cigarette in the ashtray. "I can help you pursue her and make her forget that you're a scoundrel. But you have to agree to two conditions."

Li Nanfang perked up. "What are they? Tell me quickly."

"The first condition, as Min Rou already emphasized to you yesterday, is that when we're alone and you're talking to me, you must call me 'aunt' and never address me by my name again," Yue Zitong said, her face showing her disgust. "To be honest, I don't want to have a nephew like you. I wish you would suddenly die of a brain hemorrhage right now. But I have the obligation to reform you, and I can't shirk that. I'm making this demand so that you always remember to respect me as your elder."

Nonsense about reforming me. I've evolved quite perfectly already. I don't need you to reform me. Li Nanfang thought to himself but said, "No problem. You are my master's sister-in-law, and it makes sense for me to call you 'aunt.'"

"The second condition," Yue Zitong said, her face softening a bit as she was pleased with Li Nanfang's compliance. "From now on, you must unconditionally follow any request I make of you. If I tell you to do something, you have to do it."

"Are you kidding me? If you tell me to jump off a building, do I have to do it?" Li Nanfang scoffed.

"Although that is my greatest wish, I won't say it out loud," Yue Zitong said coldly. "I once promised my sister to keep you close and 'reform' you. So——"

"Wait a minute," Li Nanfang interrupted. "You don't seem that magnanimous. Are you really going to listen to my master? I don't believe it. Tell me, what's the real reason you're keeping me around?"

Yue Zitong picked up the phone and asked, "Do you want me to call my sister now?"

Li Nanfang had no choice but to shrug and spread his hands. "Go ahead."

"To reform you closely, I'll have you live with me. That way, you can learn what true nobility is from my behavior and speech. I hope you can change your current evil thoughts under my subtle influence in the shortest time possible," Yue Zitong said, a halo of sanctity like Saint Mary appearing behind her head.

Li Nanfang felt like vomiting. But her suggestion of living together did fit his intention of protecting her closely, so he endured it. "Alright, I agree."

"You should say, 'Aunt, I agree,'" Yue Zitong corrected.

"Aunt, I agree," Li Nanfang said with a respectful expression. "Aunt, do you have any other orders?"

Chapter 20: The Rejuvenated Black Phantom

"That's it. Just remember these two points," Yue Zitong said, her face darkening again. "Don't disappoint Min Rou. She's a good girl."

Li Nanfang countered, "What if she disappoints me?"

"Then you can just die," Yue Zitong said coldly.

"Deal," Li Nanfang replied, not caring about her harsh words. He thought for a moment and asked, "Aunt, can I ask you something?"

"What?" Yue Zitong asked.

"What do you do for a living?" Li Nanfang inquired.

"Special agent," Yue Zitong replied after a moment of thought."Wow, that's impressive," Li Nanfang said, feigning surprise.

Yue Zitong didn't mind his cursing and smiled sinisterly. "So, you'd better behave in front of me, or I might not be able to control myself and just shoot you."

Li Nanfang raised his hands in surrender. After saying what she wanted to say, Yue Zitong didn't want to see him anymore. She waved her hand dismissively, as if shooing away a fly. "You can leave now. Your job is to be a driver in the motor pool, my personal driver. Start work at the company tomorrow morning."

Just as Wang Defa had predicted, from that moment on, Li Nanfang became an honored member of the motor pool. She arranged for the "scoundrel" in this way to find a reason to go to and from work with her.

"Okay, Aunt, I'm leaving," Li Nanfang said, standing up and bowing slightly before turning towards the door.

Perhaps because of his obedience, Yue Zitong felt a bit of goodwill towards him. "Wait, do you have any money on you? We don't have any extra toiletries at home."

"Money is just a trivial thing. Don't worry about it, Aunt. See you tomorrow," Li Nanfang said with a smile, refusing her offer. Before opening the door, he couldn't help but look back one more time.

He thought that his nonchalant attitude towards money would surprise Yue Zitong a bit, and maybe she would look at him with a complicated expression. However, she didn't seem to care at all. She just looked at him playfully and said, "What's the matter? Do you have something else to say?"

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Li Nanfang made an awkward excuse, "I was just wondering, it's still early. Where should I go to have some fun?"

"Go wherever you want and die there," Yue Zitong said indifferently, picking up a document and starting to work.

In fact, Li Nanfang wanted to ask her if the three masked killers in the bathhouse yesterday were sent by her. But he couldn't ask directly. Even if he did, she wouldn't admit it. He would have to investigate this matter slowly in the future.

Yue Zitong's revelation that she was a special agent made Li Nanfang understand why the old man had sent him to protect her. A special agent must have many enemies. But Li Nanfang was still puzzled. With Yue Zitong's seemingly not-so-bright intelligence, how could she have offended such powerful people that required him to protect her personally?

While "Boss Yue" was wandering around QingShan City, thousands of kilometers away in a remote mountain area, an old man in a black robe with a long beard slowly opened his eyes. In front of him, standing on a large stone where he was sitting cross-legged, was another person in a black robe, but with a golden mask of a fierce demon on her face. Even in broad daylight, she looked very eerie and frightening. The only thing that seemed alive behind the eye holes of the mask was a pair of dark eyes, as if they were a direct passage to hell.

She was a woman, and her slender figure could not be completely concealed by the wide black gauze robe. While the old man had his eyes closed, she had been standing there for a long time without making a sound, as if she would continue to stand there until the old man spoke. The old man looked at her for a moment, then spoke in a hoarse voice, "Last night, I observed the stars and saw that the heavenly demon who could rejuvenate and came from hell twenty-four years ago has officially entered the world."

"Where is he now, and what is his name?" the woman in the black robe asked. Her voice was very pleasant, with a hint of seductive charm that made one's heart itch with desire, yet it was also cold and chilling, as if two pieces of iron were rubbing against each other. "I can't see through it. Just like I don't know which layer of hell his life came from or where it will return to," the old man said, slowly closing his eyes again.

The woman in the black robe didn't ask anything further. She bowed slightly, and as she turned to leave, the wind blew her long hair aside, revealing skin behind her ear that was whiter than the eternal snow on the mountains.
