Chapter 1 - A Glimpse

Chapter 1: A look back

It was a silent, warm evening, Maria stared at the kids playing outside from her elegant, white window. She remembered all the heartwarming memories, dreams and every moment she had as a kid filed with joy and pain. The kids rushing on the street, often filled her life with joy and fun, but this time it reminded her of the moments she saw in her mind of dreams. Soon, a tear blessed with her pearl worth eyes dropped on her cheek, it did not help, but later made her cry like a river along the bright sunlight, and beautiful smiles which never made her feel alone.

Later, Maria decided to help herself out by taking self care time which included baths, reading, meditation, journal, and her favorite meal of Chipotle and Sprite. That night, a thunder roared while the young girl put herself to bed by reading a comforting and self help book. She was not able to sleep the night due to her tremendous ideas which were disturbing yet helping to all out there getting to trouble. The sun shone bright in the sky, but it did not make a sense of waking up the girl since she did not fall asleep. Maria got out of bed and went to the basin to wash her face to get her ready for a better day ahead. As the wind came through her opened window while she was refreshing herself, a colorful, energetic parrot went into the apartment and directly sat on top of the old bird house which was kept. This brought up a pleasant smile on to the sad face and gave her a thoughtful idea.

The idea sounded pleasant in her mind, it was about staying with the homeless, helping people, and going around the streets which would make her release that how much she owns. Soon after, she was finished with the refreshing, so went on to the green, small fridge to grab a loaf of bread, butter, and banana. She made her breakfast by making a buttery toast with banana and ate it up leaving no crumbs like a hungry lion, while her mind was running with tasks. Soon, she ate all up, washed the two dishes, and headed two the closet to get her jacket as it was morning so a little breezy. Then, she stepped out, and started looking toward her goal of spending a day with homeless.
