As they reached the end, Ken turned to Art and said,
"Hide somewhere safe. I'll handle them myself."
Art replied, "Okay... but don't get hurt."
Ken smiled confidently. "Don't worry. I'll easily defeat these creatures. I have to protect you guys."
He then took a deep breath and remembered his father's teaching: "You can defeat anyone without killing them—just strike their key or weak points."
Ken looked at the approaching enemies and, in a calm and cool tone, said,
"Shall we begin the fight here?"
The narrator commented:
"And so, the first battle of this grand journey was about to begin."
As the battle started, Ken spotted a sharp stick nearby and picked it up. He began fighting the creatures one by one, targeting their vital points, just as his father had taught him. One after another, the creatures fell. Finally, he defeated the last one, and all of them disappeared.
Art and Lana ran toward Ken. As they reached him, a golden light began to shine from his hand. They looked closely and saw a ring glowing brightly on his finger.
Suddenly, a voice echoed:
"Those who are brave and worthy shall receive the power of the Elemental Ring."
Then the ring itself spoke:
"Oh human... so you are the chosen one. Good, kid. Good."
Everyone was shocked.
"Wait—how is this ring speaking?!" Lana asked, stunned.
The ring responded,
"I am the Elemental Ring. I possess the power to control a number of elements that exist in this world."
Ken asked, "Okay, but... why me? Why was I chosen?"
The ring answered,
"Because you are brave, kind-hearted, and willing to save others before yourself. That is what makes a true chosen one."
Ken nodded. "Alright... but we must keep this a secret. If this ring falls into the wrong hands, it could be dangerous."
The ring reassured him, "Only the chosen one can wield my power. No one else can control me, so do not worry."
With the help of the ring, the three of them made their way outside.
Later, back at school, Ken confronted Zevan.
"Why did you push us into that trap?" he asked angrily.
Zevan replied coldly, "I wasn't even there at that time."
Ken narrowed his eyes. "Fine. I'll let this go for now... but don't ever try something like that again."
