Chapter 1 -  Chapter 1: Sorry, I'm Undercover

Chapter 1: Sorry, I'm Undercover

"Hiruzen, hand Yuchuan over to me."

Shimura Danzō spoke with a cold, unyielding tone. "He's too dangerous! He might be a spy from Kumogakure."

"He isn't."

Sarutobi Hiruzen tapped his pipe lightly, his voice deceptively calm.

"Have you forgotten what happened when Kushina was kidnapped by Kumogakure?" Danzō sneered. "Yuchuan was taken in by Yakushi Nonō—an orphan who should have joined Root from the start."

"Are you lecturing me?"

Hiruzen's eyes narrowed slightly, the air growing heavier. "You should remember—the orphanage belongs to Konoha, not Root."

Danzō's face darkened with anger. "Hiruzen, you—"

"Were you going to say I'll regret this?"

Hiruzen cut him off like a blade severing a thread. "I won't."

Danzō's words died in his throat, his mind blank.

Damn you, Hiruzen! Did you plan this?!

You even stole my lines!

He wanted to shout, "I am the Hokage!"—but he couldn't.

BANG!

Furious, Danzō stormed out, slamming the door behind him hard enough to rattle the frame.

After three steps, he whirled around, veins bulging at his temples. "Hiruzen… you'll regret this!"

Finally uttering the words lifted his mood like a poison being drained.

...

Hiruzen stared at the empty doorway, exhaling smoke like a tired dragon.

Being the Hokage's advisor is easy—all you do is talk back. But the Hokage? He has to hold the entire village's weight.

"Haru," he said without looking up, "call someone to replace the door. Bill it to Danzō's black ops budget."

His gaze fell to the file before him:

[Yuchuan]

- Male | Age 6

- War orphan

- Adopted by Yakushi Nonō

- Abnormal spiritual energy detected during Yamanaka inspection

The report noted his mental strength dwarfed peers—no training, yet five times baseline capacity. No signs of foreign chakra or brainwashing. Just… raw, unnatural potential.

"Nonō answers to Danzō," Hiruzen mused, tapping ash into a tray. "Letting him stay at the orphanage would be feeding a lamb to wolves."

His mind raced through options.

Yin Release specialists…

- Yamanaka (mind techniques)

- Nara (shadow manipulation)

- Uchiha (Sharingan genjutsu)

All clan secrets. All impossible for an outsider.

Then—like a shuriken finding its mark—the solution struck.

"Yuuhi Shinku."

The name rolled off his tongue with finality.

A genjutsu master without clan constraints. A jōnin instructor trusted with molding young minds.

Perfect.

### **Yuchuan's Awakening**

Pain.

That was Yuchuan's first conscious thought as his eyes snapped open—a white-hot ache radiating through every muscle like he'd been used as a training dummy by Might Guy.

Where… am I?

His vision swam as he took in the strange room—wooden walls, paper lanterns, the faint scent of medicinal herbs.

This isn't my apartment.

Where are my figurines? My gaming rig? My—

Then—like a kunai to the skull—memories flooded in.

Transmigration.

Good news: He was in Konoha, arguably the safest (relatively speaking) of the Five Great Villages.

Bad news: His identity was Yuchuan, a six-year-old war orphan… and undercover Kumogakure spy.

Oh, and I just survived a Yamanaka mind probe. Probably.

Cold sweat drenched his back.

If they found out…

Images flashed of interrogation cells, forced suicide missions, or worse—Danzō's cursed seals.

Then—like salvation itself—golden text burned across his vision:

[System Activated]

[Ninja Trait System Online]

[Acquire traits by achieving conditions]

[Synthesize lower traits into higher tiers]

[Ranking: E → D → C → B → A → S]

"Holy—"

His A-rank trait explained everything:

[Undercover Agent]

- Falsifies memories during inspections

- Newcomer Gift (non-synthesizable)

No more fear of mind readers.

But his C-rank trait gave pause:

[Dual-Soul Fusion]

- +100% Yin Release talent

- Reincarnation bonus (non-synthesizable)

Yin Release? He groaned internally. Why not Wood Style or Sage Mode?

Without Sharingan or clan techniques, mastering genjutsu was like bringing a kunai to a Bijuu fight.

A growling stomach interrupted his thoughts.

Then—like a true gamer—he remembered his last moments pre-isekai:

"F*ck! My maxed-out Elden Ring save!"

If his original world declared him missing, his browser history was doomed.

### **Enter: The Future Widow**

The door slid open with a whisper.

Standing there was a girl no older than eight, with obsidian hair and eyes like rubies—Yuuhi Kurenai in the flesh.

Oh hell.

She's adorable now, but give her 15 years…

"You're awake?" Her voice was lighter than cherry blossoms. "I'm Yuuhi Kurenai."

"Yuchuan," he croaked, then mentally facepalped. Smooth. Real smooth.

Kurenai tilted her head, clearly amused. "Can you walk? Father wants to meet you."

Father? His mind raced through lore.

Yuuhi Shinku—genjutsu specialist, civilian-born jōnin, and most importantly…

Not Danzō's lackey.

"Yeah," he said, swinging his legs off the bed.

This was good. Better than good.

With Hiruzen's indirect protection and his system's cheat-like abilities, maybe—just maybe—he could survive this ninja hellscape.

First goal: Don't die.

Second goal: Outshine the Hokage.

Third goal: Get ramen.
