The first one banned the Robot workers that had AI.
When it settled down, then again came the aliens.
Big, blue-skinned, bald monsters - not me, people described them that way.
Some words I can say here.
They destroyed half of the world.
Funny thing is some started worshiping them and called them luminaries.
"A celestial body that emits light" if you didn't know.
Then God-like demons destroyed the world.
Then left suddenly without finishing the job.
They got bored I think; we also get bored sometimes looking at the things people do these days.

Similarly, that war gave two main new innovations with a lot of other smaller ones.
One innovation they brought was a crystal that powered their everything.
Their ships, weapons, and also everyone had at least one embedded in their body.
Two scientists, Dr. Liang Shuren and Dr. Ivan Petrovsky.

As in every movie and story, wars started from there so they did have time.
They found a way to awaken extraordinary powers using the crystals from a project called Project DIVINE.
They called it the ECLYSS Protocol.
Thanks to them, they shared that with the united military that assembled to fight aliens.
With that, humans had a hope of surviving.
The other was a portal gate, the gate aliens used to invade Earth.
Now called Hyper Gate.
Reverse engineered by a group of scientists that the new world government, The United Terranova Council (UTC), appointed.
It opened to new planets that had beasts.
Somehow the other side always had the same type of gate built.
That still no one knew who or how that happened.
The only thing we know is we built a gate and started it using crystal power; it connected to a gate that had beast-like animals that could destroy a city if one of them came through.
These beasts were the source of these crystals.
So people started going to these now-called Realms and killing beasts and collecting the crystals.
As humans always do.
Now the whole world depends on these crystals.
So it started a new industry with a new job called hunters.
Another thing the war brought was a classification system called SPECTRUM classification.
No, it's not the one you know as SPECTRUM.
The government rolled out these rank systems to push everyone harder. Fight better, work longer, get rewarded.
Now post-war, it still exists in the world.
I think you know what happened with that.
New generation now, everyone has abilities, let's call them ability users.
Not like the old generation where some did not get abilities after the ECLYSS Protocol.
Now everyone who goes through the protocol comes out with an ability.
The story that I'm telling to you is about one unlucky bastard that came out as Unawakened without an ability.

Not that normal humans do labor work now; it's also done by ability users.

His name is Theon and both of his parents died when he was six.
