Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Predator’s Last Hunt

[ORBITAL DESCENT – YAUTJA HUNTER-CLASS POD: APPROACHING LV-732]

Inside the drop pod, the Yautja stood still, armored from neck to foot. His BioMask gleamed with black war enamel. His dreadlocks were tipped with metal blades. This wasn't just a hunter.

This was a Blooded Warlord, a veteran of three centuries of kills, from xenos to synthetics, even rogue Yautja.

The scar from Mo's first strike—a plasma-splashed burn across his face—had never healed.

He had let Mo live once.

This time, he brought weapons made to slay Kaiju.

He checked his loadout:

Twin Plasma Casters

Net Launcher with incendiary webbing

Wrist Blades (Bloodsteel Infused)

Phase Cloak v3

Gravity Dagger (Anti-mass compression weapon)

Yautja Self-Destruct Core (Set to Optional)

[Target Identified: Unnatural Hive Entity – Evolution Class][Trophy Designation: Prime Apex]

The pod slammed through the atmosphere like a burning meteor.

He roared.

And the planet roared back.

[LV-732 – MO'S HIVE: NOW A DOMED CAVERN MEGA-STRUCTURE]

The former colony had vanished.

In its place stood walls of flesh and bone, hundreds of feet tall, swarming with endless motion. Eggs were transported via tunnels of live intestine, thousands of Swarmlings carrying them like ants in a glass hive.

Mo stood at the center.

No longer humanoid.

No longer insect.

A Swarm God in rising form.

His spine had extended into a biotower of nerves and armor. Four arms. Two mandibles. Eyes like smoldering stars.

He stood atop the Hive Crown, a biological fortress grown into the corpse of the assimilated Queen.

Below, his infinite swarm fed and birthed in a rhythm that had no end.

[Current Swarm Count: 183 units]

Stalkers, Hybrids, Bulwarks

Royal Brood Guards

Xeno-Spitter Variants

Burrowers

Psychics (Beta Strain)

Swarmling Masses (∞-streaming from Birthing Chambers)

But then the sky opened.

Fire.

Impact.

The pod cratered just outside the Hive Gate.

Mo turned toward it slowly.

And smiled.

[System Warning: Predator-Class Apex – Unrestrained Arrival][Trophy Value: EXTREME]

[HIVE ENTRANCE – 0:00:01 INTO THE HUNT]

The Predator stepped from the crater, calmly, surrounded by steam.

His BioMask scanned dozens of lifeforms instantly.

Too many.

No matter.

He wanted it this way.

A swarm charged him—ten Gen 2 Swarmlings and two Hybrids.

He opened with plasma fire.

Fzzz-BOOM!—bodies exploded in acid and bone.

A Hybrid lunged. He caught it mid-air and impaled it on his Gravity Dagger—compressing it into a screaming ball of meat.

Another attacked from behind.

He let it.

Then activated his backblades, slicing the creature in half without turning around.

He advanced on the Hive.

Mo watched from within.

[Enemy Threat Level: Rising – Swarm Attrition Rate Detected]

"Good," Mo whispered. "Let's test the machine."

[TUNNEL WAR: PHASE ONE]

Mo sent twenty units down the northern access shafts: Bulwarks in front, Spitters behind, cloaked Stalkers flanking.

They closed in on the Predator.

He disabled his cloaking—no more hiding.

He wanted to be seen.

And then he tore them apart.

The Bulwarks took heavy plasma to the chest—four fell before they touched him. Acid hissed off his armor. He used his smart disk to decapitate five Swarmlings in one arc.

A cloaked Stalker got behind him.

WRIST BLADE—SLICE—SCREAM.

Mo felt each death.

He grinned anyway.

"Pull data. Let him kill. Learn."

[Swarm Casualties: 31][Combat Data Processed – 97% Efficiency Acquired][New Trait Unlocked: Anti-Plasma Carapace (Available for Units)]

Mo immediately began upgrading.

Three eggs already in incubation shifted—chitin hardening, layered plates reinforcing.

The Predator didn't know it yet—

But his every victory was making the next generation stronger.

[THE PREDATOR BREACHES THE OUTER WALL]

The Hive's first bone gates cracked under impact.

He launched a micro-grav mine into the wall—crushing five feet of resin and chitin like glass.

A new tide waited for him:

Fifty.

Royal Guards. Acid artillery. Hybrid twins moving in coordinated packs.

He paused for one second.

Then laughed.

Roared back.

And charged.

[BATTLE: SECOND STAGE – THE HIVE'S HEART]

Mo released his core command units:

002 – Now evolved to Prime Stalker, nearly invisible at rest

003 – Hybrid Scout Commander, tail sharpened to monomolecular edge

007 – Spitter-Class, acid now plasma-reactive

008 – Rebuilt into a Siege Bulwark, three times larger than before

Mo himself dropped into the tunnels.

He wanted to see this fight.

Not from above.

From eye-level.

The Predator was drenched in blood—some of it his own. His shoulder cannon was gone. One wrist blade broken.

Still, he stood tall.

Then he turned—

And locked eyes with Mo for the second time.

Everything went still.

Two apex predators.

Two empires.

And then they charged.

[THE FINAL DUEL – SWARM KING VS. BLOODED WARLORD]

Claw met blade.

Flesh met fire.

They slammed into each other, carving through tunnels, walls, corpses. Mo's upper claws clashed with the Predator's Gravity Dagger. His lower ones pierced armor, gouging the warlord's ribs.

The Predator roared—triggered an electro-net, entangling Mo's right arm.

Mo countered—vomiting raw biomass acid, melting the launcher clean off.

They fought like titans, like gods, like dying stars.

The swarm couldn't even approach—this was beyond battle.

This was ritual.

Then—

The Predator stabbed deep into Mo's side.

And Mo let him.

Clamped both arms onto the Warlord's torso.

And ripped it in half.

Acid, plasma, and blood rained across the chamber.

The Predator gasped—mandibles twitching—then collapsed.

Mo loomed above the broken body.

And spoke.

"Your kind hunted for sport."

"I hunt for legacy."

[UNIQUE ABILITY: Trophy Echo – Gain knowledge of final thoughts of slain enemies]

Mo stood taller.

Then placed his claw over the Warlord's cracked mask.

It twitched once.

[Trophy Collected: Prime Apex Skull]

The Hive roared in unison.

Their King had killed a god.

And now?

Now it was time to grow again.
