Chapter 5 - ~{Chapter 3: Wrapped in Lies}~

The next morning, at school, I was walking through the hall until I suddenly saw some girls from my volleyball class all walking to the gym. Oh yeah. Today was volleyball practice. How could I forget. I started to walk over to the gym along with the other girls when I spotted Abigale. She was also in volleyball because when we were younger, we both liked it so much and we promised that we would do it together. But now, for me, it felt like just another cage, trapping me somewhere I don't want to be. I used to love volleyball, but I don't anymore. We all made it to the locker room as everyone started to change. I grabbed some bandages that I had in my locker, hiding my arm before pulling up my sleeve. I started to bandage my arm up because I didn't want people to worry about me. After bandaging it, I closed the locker to see Abigale at hers, taking off her shirt to change into her sports shirt. She did have an amazing body, even an idiot could see that. She was slim but her waist was small. She didn't have the biggest breast but there was still at least something. There were hickeys on her neck and some on her stomach, evidence of her little parties that she loved to go to. The hickeys made me feel disgusted and it gave me a sick feeling in my stomach. I remembered how me and her used to make fun of high schoolers that did stuff like that and how we promised each other how we would never be like them in high school. I let out a little huff before closing my locker.

While changing into my own sports clothes, the coach came into the room. She started to greet everyone before noticing my arm and walking over to me. "Hey, Mia! Is your arm okay?" she asked me as I gently held my bandaged arm in my other hand. "Yeah, it's ok. I just sprung it bad last night, so I bandaged it up to keep it from moving too much." I said softly, smiling a little at her so she wouldn't think too much about it. "Ok! Do you think that you would have to sit out today?" She asked. I always loved how she cared for her students. She always treated us like her children. "No, I'll be fine. I can still play!" I spoke. "Ok, well if it starts hurting too much, just let me know and I'll let you in my office to take a break and let you lay down on the couch if needed." I just gave her another smile and a small nod before she finally walked off, gathering everyone to go out to the gym room. I started to pull up my hair as I heard Olivia, one of Abigale's friends talking behind me. She was always so sweet and caring, sometimes I wondered why she was even friends with Abigale. "Did you Mia's arm? It's all wrapped up... Do you think that she's ok? Should I get her something-" "She's probably just faking it. She's just another bitch... Ignore her." Abigale interrupted before pulling on Olivia's arm, walking out of the locker room. Me? A bitch... Maybe I was acting like one. I only sigh before walking out of the locker room, walking towards everyone as we started to do warmups.
