Chapter 6 - A plan

Lily – "So what now?"

Zendaya – "I've watched a lot of zombie movies, and I think we should head to the military camp."

Roy – "But the nearest military camp is around 1,700 km away. That's at least a 15-day journey. I don't think we'd survive that long."

Fiona – "How much food do we have?"

Zack – "What do you think? We came to your party, not a survival mission..."

(Joy cuts him off)

Joy – "I have some chips."

Roy – "I have this Coke."

Ruby – "I had a smoothie... and now I have a pack of gum."

Fiona – "We can't survive for 15 days with that." (tense)

Lily – "Are you insane? You want to go outside in this situation? The whole city has turned into zombies! On every step, you'll see a hundred of them. Do you want to die?" (angry)

Ruby – (stands up) "Are you done?" (calm) "Now listen, miss. That door is made of glass—it could break at any moment. So, if we think practically, we have only two options. Option one: we wait here for the army, which may or may not come, and starve to death. Option two: we go outside, face our fears, and do whatever it takes to survive and reach the camp."

Zendaya – "You two are out of your minds!"

Roy – "But… I think they're right. We're going to die either way, so why not try to survive on our own?" (intense)

(A notification pops up on everyone's phone—the news confirms that the zombie virus is spreading in the whole city.)

Zendaya – "See? Now, for sure, a rescue team will come for us!"

Roy – "When?"

Zendaya – "What?"

Roy – "I asked, when?"( pin drop silence for a second)

Zendaya – "How would I know?"( slowly)

Roy – (smirks) "Then the choice is yours." (smartly)

RUBY - We'll leave tomorrow.

FIONA - Why not now?

RUBY - My pookie, look outside. It's already dark. It's too risky to go out now. Besides, this gives everyone time to think things through.

(Though Ruby acts bold and smart, deep down, she's shivering with fear. She sits down on a chair, trying to relax, but the tension in the air is suffocating. One by one, the others also attempt to rest, but the fear creeping inside them makes sleep impossible. Despite everything, at the end of the day, they are just kids—scared, uncertain, and trapped in a nightmare.)
