Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Distinguished Customer

Xia Qiaoan woke up naturally.

She looked at her phone; it was half past nine.

It turned out that when she was with Li Mochen, she woke up at five o'clock every morning. She thought it was the reason for her biological clock, but it seemed that it was just because she had to take care of his daily life, and her nerves were always tense.

Xia Qiaoan scratched her fluffy hair and smiled self-deprecatingly. She got up, tidied herself up, and made a simple breakfast.

After eating breakfast, Xia Qiaoan opened an email. She had replied to it yesterday, and the other party was very urgent and wanted to meet her today.

The place for the meeting was not far from Ye Wei, so Xia Qiaoan took down the address and contact information, and left the house looking fresh and clean.

The other party lived in Wanjing Yipin, the top wealthy area of Chenjiang City.

Li Mochen also had a house here, but he was reclusive and preferred quiet, and the two of them had always lived in a detached villa in the nearby suburbs.

The security at Wanjing Yipin was strict. Xia Qiaoan was about to dial the other party's phone when a low, gentle male voice came from behind, "Excuse me, is it Mo?"

Mo was Xia Qiaoan's online code name. Of course, her choice of this code name was not unrelated to Li Mochen.

Xia Qiaoan turned around and was almost blinded by the man in front of her.

The man's features were indeed handsome, and his smile was full of good manners; from just his looks and temperament, it could be seen that his status was distinguished.

The man smiled and extended his hand, "Hello, I'm Shi Huai."

Xia Qiaoan didn't reach out her hand. She had always found it difficult to have physical contact with men other than Li Mochen, so she politely nodded, "Hello, I'm Mo."

Shi Huai naturally retracted his hand, "I heard that Mo is a very punctual person. I see the appointed time is coming soon, so I waited at the door, otherwise, you still need to register when you go in, and you have to find the building number yourself, which would be more troublesome."

Xia Qiaoan suddenly thought of a line from a poem: "A young master on the road, as jade."

She also thought of the past, which wasn't appropriate: her mother-in-law arranged for her and Li Mochen to go abroad for a vacation. Li Mochen returned to the country without even saying hello because of a call from his company, leaving her alone in the restaurant until closing. Li Mochen didn't even bother to apologize.

Xia Qiaoan smiled faintly, "Thank you for thinking so thoughtfully, I will do my best to help you."

In front of the huge floor-to-ceiling window, Xia Qiaoan and Shi Huai sat together, the sunlight poured down, and there was a taste of quiet time.

Xia Qiaoan moved the mouse and quickly typed a string of code on the screen, "You mean, for some reason, those precious photos are all gone?"

Shi Huai handed her a cup of brewed coffee, "Yes, maybe a virus? I've tried many methods to recover them, but I haven't succeeded."

Xia Qiaoan tucked a strand of long hair behind her ear. She operated carefully for a while, "I just looked, and the one you have isn't an ordinary virus."

"Oh?" Shi Huai looked at her seriously.

Xia Qiaoan's eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and there was a thin layer of sweat on her delicate nose. She pursed her lips, "I may not be able to explain it to you, the virus locked those photos, it designed a lot of checkpoints, I have to unlock them step by step, and finally, I can help you unlock them."

"I see." Shi Huai pinched his chin, seemingly feeling distressed.

Xia Qiaoan continued, "So, I suggest that if the photos aren't particularly important, you shouldn't look for them. If I help you find them, it will be a large sum of money."

She gestured seriously; even siblings had to be clear about money, and the ugly words had to be said first.

But in an instant, Xia Qiaoan knocked over the coffee on the table. The coffee had just been brewed and was a bit hot, and some of it splashed on her hand. Xia Qiaoan instinctively gasped.

Almost at the same time, Shi Huai grabbed her hand and wiped it repeatedly with a towel.

"Does it hurt?" Shi Huai's voice was a little trembling, and he looked up at Xia Qiaoan; his somewhat red eyes made Xia Qiaoan lose her mind for a moment.

Suddenly, a sharp and familiar voice came from outside the window, "Xia Qiaoan! What are you doing?"

Xia Qiaoan looked in the direction of the sound, and Li Mochen and Xia Wenwen were standing side by side in front of the huge glass window.

Li Mochen had his hands in his pockets, and the expression on his face was unreadable, even saying it was without a ripple.

Xia Qiaoan pulled her hand away from Shi Huai and calmly looked back at the computer, "My hand is fine, I'll take another look at this drive."

Shi Huai glanced briefly at the window, he didn't hear it very clearly through the window, "Do you know each other?"

Xia Qiaoan shook her head and continued to write code, "No."

Shi Huai's gaze was gentle, "I'll go get some ice, your hand is burned red, you need to apply some ice."

"Thank you."

As soon as the words fell, the doorbell rang, unhurried and unhurried.
