Our Treasure hunt within the depths of Chargestone Cave was very lucrative, we collected some random things, but the biggest haul would be 4 select items.
The best items in question are the Bright powder, A natural Magnet, A Star piece and lastly a Thunderstone.
While each of them is different, for right now each is a precious resource, for instance, the Magnet boosts Electric attacks by 20%, but Himiko only knows electric moves and tackle so she can hold onto it for a boost, another item useful for Himiko would be the Thunderstone since from the data given to me it told me her final evolution requires one so it would be needed at some point.
Of the two biggest items left selling the star piece is worth it since it's worth so much but it is not woth selling the Bright powder since its effect is useful.
Funnily enough, traveling through a cave allowed the Dowsing machine to find a lot of those vitamin items in either powder or bite portion forms but since I don't have another pouch like with the bright powder, I can't collect them together enough until their identified as the item.
I mean the material alone is worth something, but I can't just carry a handful of powder around everywhere, also I don't remember the individual effects of the vitamins besides that they affect EVs, as well I don't want to feed Himiko something that could make her sick.
After I feel like 3 hours of searching around for items here, I think the only thing left are the Vitamin's that or a large amount of vitamins are catching the signal of the Dowsing machine away from anything else.
Due to this, I made the decision to make our way out of the cave, and since I didn't fully keep track of where we were it took some time for me to find a spot familiar, also due to this it turns out I'm closer to the exit stairs than the doorway, so I decided to just leave that way.
Again, me and Himiko travel to leave the cave but this time with the Dowsing machine online, this process rewards me by finding a revive hidden in some stones near the edge of the wall, some trainer must have dropped it when exploring.
When I picked it up, again my instincts told me what it was and how it was used but with that information I started chuckling, mainly because my instincts told me how it's applied like a mix between smelling salts and an energy drink in one solid form.
Essentially the trainer is meant to feed it to the Pokémon who would bite into it unknowingly, they would get immediately hit with a sugar rush of epic proportions and smell the most foulest thing possible to them with their heightened senses, Both stimuli would wake the Pokémon while countering the downsides of both methods, besides the sweetly sick taste and awful smell.
It makes me feel sad for revive spamming when I played the games in the past.
Another item I found on the way out of the cave was a hidden nugget just like the one I sold in the Mart a week ago, maybe smaller, but when I went to collect it, I was interrupted.
Now for most of my trips through the cave I will say I have been seeing Pokémon intermittently, but they mostly kept to themselves not interacting with me, but my luck finally ran out at this point as a Boldore was close and when I went to collect the Nugget, it though that Nugget might be a good snack, so it made its presence known.
[Oi Human, Drop the shiny stone, it belongs in mai belly.]
Hearing the challenge, I turned to the Boldore and Himiko slipped out from the Dowsing machine taking her place between me and the Boldore.
Realizing I'm not alone Boldore becomes more attentive readies for battle.
"You know what to do Himiko, we've trained for this, Let's start with Paralysis." hearing my words Himiko nods before glowing with energy, she then shoots out the electric energy in a series of arcs of light cascading towards the slow Boldore.
'Himiko uses Thunder wave'
'Boldore is paralyzed'
Boldore's form is coated in the energy and a second later shocks of electricity arc across the Rock Pokémon's form, but it seems to draw energy from the ground before an orb of energy is formed in their mouth, It launces it towards Himiko who goes to dodge it with her speed advantage.
The energy takes its form in the middle of the air as a set of crystals in a scattershot formation making it impossible for her to dodge the attack when its so close.
'Boldore uses Power Gem'
'Himiko is hit!'
After being struck by the attack Himiko is sent backwards but she recovers in the air before facing back towards the Boldore, at this I speak to command. "Himiko, it's hard as stone but weak against special attacks, Use Charge Beam!"
Himiko again lights up generating electricity for the attack rapidly, she condenses the electricity in front of her mouth before shooting out a beam of light towards the Boldore who tries to take cover with some nearby rocks, but its speed is abysmal for such a move so its just hit.
'Himiko Uses Charge Beam'
'Himiko's Special Attack increases'
'Boldore is hit!'
Seeing that her Special attack is boosted I'm happy my smile gets wider when I see the bolder take some tentative steps as if getting ready to charge and when it initiates the attack it stops moving as its joints lock up in Paralysis.
'Boldore uses Smack down'
'Boldore is Paralysed and unable to attack'
Taking the opportunity, I speak to Himiko again, "Do another they can't last forever." Hearing this Himiko domes some aerial manoeuvres to line up her target before charging the charge beam and launching it at the Boldore again.
'Himiko uses Charge Beam'
'Boldore Is Hit!'
This Charge beam seems to hit hard and sends the bulky Pokémon skidding a bit from the impact, but it holds its ground before charging the energy back into its mouth for another Power gem, I see this and yell for Himiko to make some distance.
She does since her speed is one of her best traits, so when the Power Gem is released from Boldore which it does become that scattershot form like before its impact isn't as devastating against her, it still hit of course but Himiko still has power for the fight.
'Boldore uses Power gem'
'Himiko is hit!'
"End this with a Charge Beam Himiko." again she gathers her energy and launches it at her opponent this beam lands true and the form of the Boldore is sent flying into the far wall slumped on its side unconscious.
'Himiko uses Charge beam'
'Boldore is Hit and knocked out!'
At the victory of our first battle together, Himiko tackles into me, and we celebrate in our own ways but we each have a smile on our faces.
Honestly, in that battle, I feel it could have gotten a lot worse, like I didn't expect Boldore to know Power Gem, also when it tried to charge but got stunned, I had a bad feeling that if it went through Himiko would have been in bad shape.
I will say even though we've only been together for a week the training really helped, when we started the training, it took her like 5 seconds to power up her charge beam but now she can do it in 3.
I have a plan for training Himiko in the future but with what she currently has I know her best tool is her Charge Beam since with her frailty and Attack stats not being so high right now. Using charge beam which has a 70% to buff her Special Attack is good until she evolves and gains bulk for physical moves.
Now with the Boldore incapacitated, I retrieve the nugget the fight was about and make our way to the exit, for the rest of the trek I don't have Himiko in the dowsing machine since she seems tired after the battle but when I offered to ball her she just shook her head, so I'm acting as the pack mule as she just rides my head flopped like a fish.
We get to the cave mouth without worry and I make the path again to Mistralton city.
