Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE

Door 3,

A group of six people found themselves in a rather dark forest, the only source of light being the moon.

"Where are we?" A male ginger asked but question remained unanswered since his co members were too busy observing their surrounding (they also didn't have the slightest clue where they were)

"I'm getting bad feeling about this place" the next guy to speak was the definition of pure muscles, he had a deep tan and a classic mustache.

"Well, no shit, this looks like the place teenagers die in horror movies" The sarcasm was practically dripping from the blonde's mouth.

"Welcome to the second game; the forest of fear "the oh so familiar robot voice sounded out from the sky.

"Did it just say the forest of fear?" a frightened brunette member asked with extreme fear in his eyes

"Guys…is it me or is this place getting darker?" Another female member commented before the member could be frightened even more.

The statement caused all the members to take notice of their darkened surrounding, there also seemed to be a growing fog around them, the air was colder, and they could hear something akin to the screams of children.

"Umm, guys?" the ginger called out while trying to reach out to any of his teammates when it became nearly impossible to see with all the fog.

The ginger unfortunately didn't feel any of his teammates around him; so, he called out to them, each time he increased his voice until, something gripped unto his ankle, it felt cold, and the ginger was not a fan of it

"AGHHHHHHHHH!!" He screamed in a very 'manly' way while trying to run away from whatever was holding his ankle; unfortunately for Mr. ginger, the unknown entity had a vice grip on his ankle, and it was not ready to release it anytime soon

"The heck! Let go of my leg!" his screaming was in vain as the entity refused to let go.

"Hehehehehehehehehehe!" The entity's cheeky laugh sent a chill down his spine, the laugh sounded like a child's and a grown man's; it was unnerving.

"HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!" the creature laughed even harder and louder suddenly there was a sharp pain at the ginger's ankle, that was being held, it felt like a sharp object was piercing through his skin; something warm also seemed to slide own his ankle. It was too dark and foggy to look at his leg or the unknown entity.

"Peter... PeTeR…" The entity called out his name with its creepy man-child voice, this caused Peter's heart to almost give out. His name being called out by a creature he can't see was downright scary.

"Peter, Peter, do you want to play?" The entity asked, this time its voice was much calmer and sounded more of a child.

The fog seemed to have cleared up at this time and Peter's first reaction after gaining visibility of his surrounding was to look at whatever was holding unto his leg.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" What Peter saw enough to cause his heart to fail.

 The entity was a clown.

Half of the clown's head was gone, brain meat and blood(?) dripped out of broken skull. It had this creepy smile displaying his multiple razor-sharp teeth. Its eyes didn't even look human, it looked like a giant pupil, all black.

Its body was laid on the floor while one of his hands gripped onto Peter's ankle.

The cause of peter's ankle pain was the sharp nails of the clown lodged into his skin; his blood was the warm substance he felt after the pain.

"Peter, Peter, do you want to play?" The entity asked again, his smile seemed to get wider after peter's scream.

"Ahhh! Get off me! Why?! Why clowns?!" Peter screamed even louder which seemed to only make the clown smile.

"Play with me peter" the clown whispered again, digging its sharp nails deeper into the flesh of peter's ankle.

"Ahhh! No! No!" Peter screamed louder as the pain intensified and he could feel his warm blood dripping down his leg.

"No?" The angry tone of the clown was not only heard but felt by peter, the clown gripped him even harder. "Hahahahahaha" The sound of maniacal laughter echoed throughout the forest, then the next thing peter felt was a sharp pain on his right arm.

Cautiously, he looked at his right arm only to notice the lack of a lower arm, blood dripped from the upper arm.

Peter could not speak or move; it was like his brain had completely shut down; he couldn't even process the pain that came with losing an arm.

Then another sharp pain came to his left arm. The responsive fear came back, he didn't even have to look to know that his left arm is gone; both upper and lower.

"Hahahaha" The clown still gripping at his ankle let out a very amused laugh it seemed to derive endless pleasure from peter's pain.

'BAM' the loud sound akin to that of a gunshot was heard. Peter's body was made headless; his head had been blown up. His now lifeless and headless body fell to the ground without a sound.

In another part a female member was running for her dear life, fear deeply rooted in her heart.

Behind her was a giant wolf spider; about 19ft high, hiding within the fog. The spider approached her in steady quick step as its legs created small craters in the ground.

The girl ran faster and faster but no matter how much she tried to increase her speed, the distance between her and the spider remained the same.

The spider let out a loud hissing sound, it's two front landed on each side of the girl.

in less than five seconds the spider lowered down its head; opened its jaw, and cleanly chomped off the girl's head.

Her body fell to the ground as blood oozed out from where her head used to be, unto the forest ground. Few seconds later, multiple tiny spiders crawled inside the dead body and started eating it piece by piece.

"What the heck? I can't see anything" Came the voice of the blonde sarcastic member. Squinting her eyes, she tried to see past the fog as she walked forward, with her arm outstretched trying to feel her surroundings. Her calloused fingers landed on a damp hard surface; she recoiled in more disgust than fear.

Hesitantly, she extended her hand for her fingers to graze the damp surface again, unlike before, she kept her fingers there feeling the surface, it felt like wet wood.

'Tree?' was the first thing she thought of, removing her hand from the tree, she continued forward. 'Did it rain?'

Despite not being able to see anything the blonde concluded that there was nothing in this forest and she also lost hope on finding her teammates.

"Avery?", the blonde turned back at the mention of her name in that very familiar voice. She could never forget that voice; the voice that she hears in her nightmares,

"Avie? Is that you?". The voice of her mother.

Squinting her desperately to see, she tried looking for the source of the voice when a tall slender figure walked towards her from the fog.

"Avery! my precious Avery," The now seeable figure called out in an excited tone.

Avery flinched harshly with a disgusted expression, "stop calling my name!"

"But, sweetheart, it's me, mum," The woman walked closer to Avery with slight outstretched arms,

Avery looked conflicted, her breathing shallowed, she could hear her own heart beat as if the heart was directly beside her ear.

"Shut up! You are not my mother!" There was a slight tremble in her voice, her eyes seemed unfocused even as she avoided looking at the figure.

The figures expression changed into a frown, "Not your mother? Huh? It's because you killed me, right? You killed me, Avery"

Avery's expression worsened as her breath became more labored, it felt like her body became unbalanced and the ground was spinning.

"Shut up! I didn't kill her!"

The woman smiled again with a wide grin, "oh but daughter, you did" stretching out a palm, a small lump of fog formed above the outstretched palm, a sharp kitchen knife formed out of the lump of fog and landed on the palm,

"Avie, look, you used this right?", the figure's grin widened as it held the knife by the hilt.

"Fuck! You're supposed to be dead, why? Why are you still-" Why are you still-" Avery froze when she noticed the knife; a sudden strong sense of Deja vu came over her.

The smile of her mother; the kitchen knife; even her mother's clothing everything felt very familiar, suddenly she no longer felt scared,

, everything was very familiar; the figure launched toward her with the knife still in its hand, putting enough force in her grip on the knife, the figure struck.

Quickly Avery dodged out of the way, finding a good enough opening, she threw a kick straight to figures stomach, as Avery's kick connects with the figure's abdomen, she feels the impact reverberate through her leg. The figure staggers backward momentarily stunned by the unexpected blow its grip on the blade loosened and the knife fell on the ground.

Taking advantage of the figure's confusion, Avery rushed to grab the blade from the ground.

Once the figure noticed the blade in Avery's possession, it suddenly dropped to the floor, sobbing.

"Avery, I'm sorry, you know mother loves you" it sobbed, the figure looked very pitiful now.

Avery stared at it, the scene was all too familiar, even the words the figure says

"I hesitated before but not the second time", Saying that Avery strikes the knife directly into the side of the figure's neck; like a broken fountain, blood sputtered from the wound.
