Chapter 13 - 13

To save my life, I refused to be hospitalized and followed Father Michael O'Connell to the Taoist temple on the mountain.

On the way, I bought generous offerings, just hoping that the other party could let me go.

Although I knew that this would have little effect, after all, the other party had decided to take my body from the beginning.

Left arm, back, lips...

There was almost no part of my body that was fine, and I was enduring the pain almost every minute.

Fortunately, after arriving at the mountain, I had Father Michael O'Connell to keep me company, and he would occasionally tell some ghost stories, which could divert my attention.

Inside a side room of this Taoist temple, Father Michael O'Connell had hung full of mirrors facing the sky, and besides that, there was only an eight-immortal table and a few benches. We sat around the table, listening to Father Michael O'Connell's rambling.

He told me that ghosts are actually not divided into good and bad, once they have the source of revenge, they will usually continue to do evil. He also told me that you can't reason with ghosts, and you need a strong fist to fight ghosts. After saying a long string of words, he once again promoted his ancestral copper coin sword, ten thousand a piece.

I was somewhat in tears, thinking that at this point, this old guy still wanted to make money from me.

Soon, the time came to three o'clock in the morning.

"It's coming." Father Michael O'Connell said to me with a serious expression.

I immediately put all the skirts and offerings on the table. Then I lit incense and knelt on the ground piously.

"That day, they all did it, if you recall, know that I didn't participate in it..."

"Come to think of it, I've forgotten your name, but I know that it wasn't your fault, it was because of the era at the time, a tragedy caused by prejudice..."

"Actually, I remember you were very kind! You definitely don't want to kill innocent people, right? At that time, we poured water into the ant nests, and you came forward to stop us, and that was the first time you shouted at us loudly, and scared us..."

"This is the dress I bought for you, it's very beautiful, I hope..."

I kept saying things that didn't matter, until Father Michael O'Connell coughed, and I looked up and noticed that he had arrived.

A white figure was reflected in the mirrors filling the room, and he was staring at me, and I didn't know how long it had been.

I took a deep breath, and just as I was about to continue speaking, I found that the male ghost was walking towards me slowly.

"Why..."

"Why..."

"Why... did you bully me..."

The male ghost finally said a complete sentence, but with a cry of grievance.

For a moment, I didn't know what to do, and could only observe him through the mirror.

The male ghost suddenly stood in place, and no longer walked towards me.

I seemed to see, many years ago, that little boy who was isolated and ridiculed. He was also like this, standing outside the crowd.

I don't know why, I always felt that he didn't want to hurt me at this moment.

"I won't bully you anymore! And them! You've done enough!"

I saw a glimmer of hope, and shouted at him urgently.

In the mirror, the male ghost raised his hand and made a gesture of wiping away tears.

Then, he turned around, with his back to me.

I felt relieved, and my tense body relaxed suddenly, but at this moment, a sharp pain came from the back of my head.

I slowly turned my head, and saw Father Michael O'Connell standing there with a cold face, but his words weren't for me, he said,

"Come back, son."

His gaze, was fixed on the position of the male ghost behind me.

"Why, are you always disobedient?"
