Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

003 Dimension Trade, Activate!

"What's this new trick again?"

Looking at the prompt on the panel, Lin Moze frowned and stopped his actions.

A dimension merchant, from the name alone, you could tell it was someone doing business across different dimensions.

Let's not even talk about anything else—just the ability to traverse dimensions is impressive. To be able to do that, either this merchant is powerful, or their background is incredible. Either way, they must have some good stuff on hand.

But the problem is, if I want to buy something from them, what can I offer in return?

Using the newbie package directly might give me something, good or bad, but if I accept the invitation and end up not being able to buy anything, wouldn't that be a huge loss?

However, if I just give up like this, Lin Moze couldn't help but feel a bit unwilling.

From the sounds of commotion already coming from the teaching building and playground, the apocalypse crisis should be beginning soon. He needed to make a decision quickly!

Looking at the glowing ball in his hand, Lin Moze gritted his teeth, steeled his resolve, and spoke to the Savior Panel.

"I choose to accept the invitation!"

He was going to take a gamble this time!

After all, using the newbie package was still a gamble, so instead of trying his luck, he might as well go big!

Since this dimension merchant had actively sent him an invitation, they should have taken his current situation into consideration and wouldn't let him leave empty-handed.

As his voice fell, Lin Moze felt his vision go black. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a completely different location.

This was a room full of futuristic vibes, with deep blue and silver white tones dominating the space. In front of him was a massive floor-to-ceiling window, almost covering an entire wall. The view outside was an expansive and dazzling starry sea.

On the other side of the room were dozens of three-dimensional projection screens floating in midair, displaying real-time footage and continuously changing data.

Lin Moze barely glanced at one of the screens and realized it was showing a scene from his school.

Panicked students and teachers were fleeing through the corridors, avoiding creatures with bodies covered in a dead gray color, only their heart area extending glowing crimson lines. The terrifying scene was filled with screams of despair, flesh being torn apart, and low growls, painting a brutally bloody picture.

After only a few glances, Lin Moze turned his attention back to the center of the room.

There, a circular table and two silver hemisphere-shaped seats floated in midair.

One of the seats slowly turned, revealing a handsome young man wearing a silver-white robe with short black hair, sitting comfortably in it.

When he saw Lin Moze, his eyes immediately brightened, and with swift movements, he jumped down from the chair, took a few steps, and enthusiastically said:

"My friend, I knew you wouldn't reject my invitation!"

He grabbed Lin Moze's hand and shook it vigorously before pulling him toward the round table.

"Come, sit down. I know you must have a lot of questions. Don't worry, we have plenty of time to chat."

Lin Moze sat in the spherical floating chair, and as soon as his body touched it, the chair automatically adjusted itself to the most comfortable shape and softness for him.

Noticing the young man opposite seemed to want to say something, Lin Moze chose to speak first:

"Hello, you must be the dimension merchant who sent me the invitation. According to the information I received, you seem to be able to provide some helpful trades?"

The young man on the other side seemed slightly stunned by his words before responding with a hint of admiration:

"Not only are you the person with the strongest potential index I scanned, but you're also the one who adapts to reality the fastest."

Saying this, he extended his hand again:

"Let me introduce myself properly. I am an advanced affiliate of the Dimension Merchant Alliance, code-named Star Seeker, ID 2770. It's a pleasure to meet my future top client."

"Lin Moze, a person who, though you say I'm great, is currently quite helpless in the face of the apocalypse, lacking the ability and security to protect myself."

In response to the young man's friendly demeanor, Lin Moze also extended his hand and shook it.

"Haha, since you put it that way, let's get to the point."

Star Seeker clapped his hands, and the chair under him flew back into place:

"I have to admit, skipping the step of convincing a customer to accept reality does make things quite enjoyable. I also know you're probably confused about who is responsible for turning your world into this mess?"

Actually, I'm not that curious.

Seeing the young man talking non-stop, Lin Moze felt like responding this way.

As a pragmatic person, he firmly believed that daydreaming was harmful and unproductive.

Right now, he was struggling just to escape the zombie horde's encirclement, so even if he knew who was behind destroying the world, what difference would it make? Wouldn't it just bring him more trouble?

However, caution and etiquette made him discard the idea of rebutting the young man, choosing to quietly listen instead.

"Although I'd love to share information to build rapport with my future high-quality client, the dimensional invasion involves a troublesome group of individuals, so let's skip that topic and take a look at my goods."

Star Seeker waved his hand, and a giant projection screen appeared in front of them:

"When it comes to goods, I offer nothing less than top-tier. Whether it's items, bloodlines, or legacies, I have it all, and the best part is, they're all original and not watered-down versions."

Lin Moze looked at the dazzling array of items on the light screen and nodded in satisfaction: "Not bad, but I don't think I can afford any of this."

"That's right. That's why I've prepared a special selection for potential saviors like you. Not only are the prices discounted, but I also offer credit, all for the sake of building good relationships, without worrying about recouping costs!"

With another wave of his hand, the images on the light screen grew scarcer:

"Although these are specially handled items, rest assured, they are all 100% original. They just come with a slight defect."

"A tiny bit of a flaw, I get it," Lin Moze nodded understandingly, pointing to a glowing spherical object on the screen and asking: "What's this?"

"This is 'Dragon Essence,' from the Wind and Cloud Martial World. It's the essence of one of the world's four divine beasts, capable of extending one's lifespan for millennia when consumed, along with a massive internal energy that's pure and invincible."

"Sounds great, but what's the flaw?"

"It requires a martial arts genius's body to fully absorb. Otherwise, eating it would either burn your intestines to ashes or cause your body to explode... "
