Then Sam said he didn't want to talk about it anymore and had already humiliated himself enough. "Let's change the topic."
Roslin then said, "Let's guess who'll be the first to get married among us." (Sam thought to himself, *It'll be you, of course.*) Roslin continued, "I guess it'll be Chingla, since she's so cute."
Chingla, getting shy, said, "No, I'm not cute at all." (Sam thought, *Don't think we'll repeat it just because you said you're not cute.*)
Roslin then turned around and asked the NPCs, "What do you guys think? Who'll get married first?"
They discussed and came up with two names: one NPC who was already pre-booked from birth to marry, and the other was Sam.
Sam protested, "Why are you categorizing me with him? He is in default settings, and his marriage is already pre-planned from ancestral days."
Roslin laughed and said, "Haha, Sam, don't be modest! You're a great catch!"
Sam shook his head. "No way, I'm not getting married anytime soon. And definitely not like this pre-guy," he said, nodding towards the NPC who was pre-booked for marriage.
Tsunami said, "Yeah, Sam, you're too much of a free spirit. You'll probably end up with someone totally unexpected, and I hope it won't be a boy this time."
Chingla added, "Maybe someone who's not even in our school."
Sam thought to himself, *I have never been with a girl, never dated anyone, and they think I'm going to get married first?* (It's because he's a simp.) *Do they really think I'm capable of finding someone?*
He then got motivated and said, "You know what? I'll get married first. Among all of you, I'll get married first, even before pre-guy!" He continued to laugh in the corner.
The rest of them ignored him and realized that they had given him unnecessary motivation. Roslin turned to pre-guy and asked, "When's the big day? When do you get to fulfill your ancestral duties?"
Pre-guy said, "In about 5 years, I'll be getting married to a girl chosen by my family. It's a great honor to continue our family's legacy."
Sam, still motivated by his earlier declaration, said, "Yeah, yeah, 5 years, that's plenty of time! I'll get married before that, just watch!"
Tsunami raised an eyebrow, "Uh, Sam, I think you're getting a bit carried away."
But Sam continued, "No way, I'm serious! I'll find someone amazing and get married before pre-guy."
Chingla said, "Sam, you're so extra today!"
Then Roslin asked pre-guy, "Won't you invite us to your wedding?"
Pre-guy said, "Don't worry, I'll invite you all and take care of the expenses. It'll be an honor for me to have you guys at my wedding."
Roslin smiled and said, "Then it's decided. It'll be a reunion for us after 5 years at pre-guy's wedding."
Sam said, "You guys can come alone; I'll come with my wife and kids, since I'll be getting married before all of you."
Tsunami finally lost her patience and stood up to knock Sam out.
Tsunami, irritated, returned to the group. Chingla said, "Why don't we come up with a team name, something to represent our friendship and our promise made today to reunite at pre-guy's wedding?"
Roslin said, "That's a great idea. So, what do you have in mind?"
Chingla thought for a while and said, "I couldn't come up with anything, but let's make it something to show that we're all in this promise together."
Sam, still dizzy from Tsunami's abuse, said, "You need tea!" which they heard and perceived as UNITY.
Roslin said, "Perfect," and they all agreed on using it. They named the group 'UNITY MATES.'
(Sam had said 'you need tea' because he brought tea in a flask and wanted to say sorry for his behavior and it was break time for them to eat and drink)
And that's the beginning of 'Unity Mates.'
