Chapter 23 - 23 - WHEN SILENCE SCREAMED LOVE

Sanvi's POV:

It's been just a few days, okay? A FEW. But it feels like it's been centuries since we last spoke. What Pranjal did was wrong, no doubt - and yeah, I don't look for him in the morning assembly anymore, I don't sneak out during lunch to talk to him, and I don't stand like a Bollywood heroine waiting for him after school.

But still... I swear I can feel his eyes burning holes into my back like I'm the last piece of chicken in a KFC bucket.

It's SO hard not to turn my head toward him, but I guess I'm learning to survive without him now.

Wait-NO. I still want him to come back. But like, in the dream-boyfriend way I imagined, not the "flirty jerk who thinks he's a Casanova" version.

And don't even get me started on Aashvi and Pranjal. We don't talk anymore either.

Aashvi told me she didn't even know we were dating. She thought we were just friends. And now I kinda believe her. I mean, why would a 10th-grade girl date someone in 7th? (Yeah, I know, sounds wild.)

But seriously, it's all Pranjal's fault. And the worst part? That dumbass hasn't even come to say sorry. I'm willing to give him one more chance, but he's acting like he's starring in his own heartbreak music video.

He's such a dog... no wait... a dog with commitment issues.

After School ~

Sanvi and Aashvi are walking back home. Suddenly, Aashvi pulls something out of her bag and hands it over like it's some sacred scroll.

Aashvi: "Here, it's from Pranjal. He wrote it himself."

Sanvi (with a tiny smirk forming): "Wait, for real? When did he even write this?"

Aashvi: "During free period today. Was hiding like he's writing state secrets."

Sanvi: "You didn't read it, right?"

Aashvi: "Nope. I don't care about him anymore. Loyalty level zero."

Sanvi: "Hmm. Alright, hand it over."

(Sanvi opens the letter and reads silently.)

---

Pranjal's Letter:

"I'm really sorry . Please forgive me. I'll do whatever you say - anything. Just come back. I really love you. And I know you love me too. I can't watch you with someone else. About Aashvi... yeah, I was a dumbass. Slap me, curse me, punch me - do whatever you want. Just come meet me one last time in the school library. Your idiot, Pranjal."

---

Reading that, Sanvi feels like she's standing in a field of flowers, with slow-mo Bollywood music playing in the background.

Sanvi: "He finally came back to me... but not so fast."

(She straightens her face, gets serious.)

Sanvi: "Aashvi, tell Pranjal I'll never talk to him again. And yeah, about meeting - I'll be there, but just once. No promises."

Aashvi: "Damn... I thought you'd forgive him. But okay, I'll let him know."

---

Next Day at School ~

Aashvi (to Pranjal): "Bro, prepare your cheek. She's going to slap the living hell out of it. She said she'll meet you, but forget about patching up. She's furious."

Pranjal: "Oh God. I poured my heart into that letter! I thought she'd melt, but no - she's a fighter jet ready to bomb my face."

Aashvi (laughing): "Yup. Now eat your lunch and pray. Best of luck, Romeo."

---

Meanwhile, Sanvi is going crazy.

She keeps asking her friend Harsh for the time like every 30 seconds.

Sanvi: " How much time left, QUICK!"

Harsh: "5 minutes. And if you ask again, I SWEAR I'll smash this bench on your head."

Sanvi: "Chill! I'm just asking..."

Harsh: "In the time you talk, one minute's already gone. What, are you going to a wedding or something?"

Sanvi: "Shut up and just tell me."

Harsh: "I swear if ma'am yells at me 'cause of you, I'll rip out whatever eyebrows you have left."

(Sanvi finally shuts up and chews her nails like a squirrel on energy drink for the last 3 minutes.)

---

LUNCH BELL RINGS

She runs to the library like a woman on a mission. Doesn't even carry her stuff - just flies up to the 3rd floor.

The place is quiet, no teachers in sight.

Sanvi: "This damn boy's never on time..."

Just then, Pranjal walks in, looking like a puppy who just peed on the carpet.

They stare at each other. Long. Like a dramatic K-drama scene.

Sanvi says nothing.

Pranjal: "I'm here... go ahead, slap me. Yell. But I'm really, really sorry."

Sanvi raises her hand, and Pranjal flinches - eyes shut, face turned, ready for the thunder slap.

But...

Sanvi grabs his face gently with one hand, his neck with the other... and then kisses him - slow, deep, soft... and very, very real.

Their bodies heat up. Hearts thumping like EDM bass drops. Pranjal opens his eyes for a sec in shock, like "IS THIS REAL?"

Then he pulls her in tight, no space, like 0 centimeters of social distancing.

After about 2 steamy minutes, Sanvi feels... something.

Down there.

She opens her eyes slightly, peeks down, and BAM - the boy's got a full-blown boner, poking through his pants like a guilty confession.

She smirks mid-kiss.

Now her hands slide from his face to his shirt... and then she presses her pussy right over his hard-on - clothes still on, but the tension? TANGIBLE.

Pranjal moans in the middle of the kiss and grabs her wrist. He pushes her gently against the wall and locks her in - heat rising, kisses getting rougher, tongues dancing like it's the last kiss of their lives.

Sanvi's panties? Wet.

Her brain? Screaming.

Her heart? Racing.

But... she knows this ain't the time or place.

Suddenly, she pushes him away hard - breathless, red, and in shock - and runs out like a damn superhero exiting a crime scene.

Pranjal just stands there, confused, turned on, and holding his boner like, "What the hell just happened?!"
