In the main residence of the Draconian family, a gathering was held. Aside from the main pillars of the family and the others who usually stand for these events, this time there were also guests, representing the Sun God Sanctuary while standing on the side of this gathering.
The place they all stood in is not an ordinary place; it was a place of remarkable beauty. On top of that, above them all, was a statue of a fearsome dragon, whose eyes were brightly opened to gaze at all those below. The eyes of the dragon would sometimes shine in bright fiery waves, as if the dragon itself were alive.
Although there was not a main topic of discussion in the gathering, there were some minor whispers that spread through the place that could be heard by everyone's ears.
From the side of the Sun Sanctuary, whispers could be heard like this: "What? Delaying the naming of the Divine Knight? Why? What's the sudden decision?"
And from the side of the Draconian family, whispers could be heard like this: "A great elder's words — that is, to send our little one to the academy belonging to the royal family. It is said that there was a sign of destruction that he saw at the moment of acknowledgment of the prodigy one, so we cannot refuse his words."
Clank!
Suddenly, silencing all the whispers, came a loud thud — the sound of someone knocking something on the floor.
Everyone instantly gazed in the direction where the sound came from to see the Grand Elder, who somehow stood in the middle of the gathering with the young girl by his side.
"I apologize for the wait, everyone, but now we can begin our gathering."
After his words, the crowd in the gathering all sat down. The Grand Elder and the young girl also sat down on the side of the Draconian family. On their opposite side sat the knights and priests from the Sun Sanctuary, who eyed the young girl and evaluated her.
"So, does the honorable Sun Sanctuary have any problem with our request?"
In the midst of the gathering, the Grand Elder of the Dragonir family asked the priest of the Sun Sanctuary,
"Oh, it's not much of a problem, but to keep away the selected Divine Knight of our Sun Sanctuary for two years without being under our care is a bit of a..."
"Then how about this," seeing the priest struggling to agree to their demand, the Grand Elder decided to change the terms of their request, taking a step back from their side.
"What we ask is to let our young one enroll in the academy of the royals for mostly six months in our name. Afterward, we will happily let the Sun Sanctuary take her under your wing and grow her into the Divine Knight you say she is meant to be."
While the two parties talked, the young girl, who was the object of the discussion, stayed silent, knowing that she still did not have the power to meddle in affairs of such caliber.
In her silence, the two sides talked and came to an agreement in which the young girl would spend six months in the academy of the royals, after which she would be accompanied by the priest of the Sun Sanctuary to undergo the necessary training to become their knight.
The day came to an end with their decision, and just as they had come, the Sun Sanctuary left with their guards, bidding farewell to the young girl while also leaving a treasure in her hand.
She was their hope for the future, so they would do anything to protect her even in their absence.
Looking at the group of people fading into the distance, the young girl and the Grand Elder stood at the top of the Draconian family building.
"I'm not sure what you have seen in the prophecy of our ancestors, but now I have done what I can. My hope is that you will find where to continue from now on," said the Grand Elder, patting the young girl's hair.
"I'll try my best, Grandfather."

The carriage was running on a muddy road filled with bumps. The interior of the carriage was filled with darkness, where the one single lamp didn't manage to fend off much of it.
The lamp's light managed to do only one thing, and that was to highlight the silhouette of a young man sitting in the dark of the carriage, silent while gazing at the space in front of him.
"I still don't get it. Why... Why is it that you meddled in the affairs of the pixies?"
A mischievous voice asked the man, then appeared a purple glow as a tiny hug-like creature flew into the air and landed on the shoulder of the young man.
"Are you expecting answers from me?"
Relieving himself from the daze-like state he was in before, the young man closed his eyes.
"Absolutely," said the pixie, flying once again.
"...You could say it's because of a divine wish."
"Divine wish? Of whom?"
"The god," Mordred simply answered. Then he fell silent and never answered the wave of questions the pixie asked him again.
"I'm simply trying to be the best of who I am," he said before closing his eyes and leaning on the seat of his carriage.
Seeing Mordred showing no interest in answering her, the pixie also flew around for a minute and disappeared, letting the inside of the carriage drown back in the darkness it once had.
