The game have begun. In the 8th solider there were 2 high school kids and 6 adults.
The 'W16' have started the game with one of their pawns.The pawn in front of the queen moved two squares forward. We moved our pawn in the same way, the warrior who was in front of our Queen Inaya, his name is Aris. He also moved two squares forward.
I don't know if it's a smart move but Inaya and and Hana said they have played chess once . So we have to trust them . Now that the game have started the hall is silent.
Now that we moved one of our pawn, they moved one of their pawn next to their previous one. This one is in front of one of their bishops. It was from hana's right side. We moved Aris to cross one square forward. Before we could think other movements, Aris killed their pawn in front of all of us. Our players became silent. We didn't think this would come. But Hana, Inaya and Akiko didn't seem to be surprised as if they knew it was coming . Since pawns can move forward in cross one square so we made Aris do the movement. But how come we forgot the fact that Celestina said if you are eliminated in game you will be counted in loser's story and eventually you will die.
The blood from their pawn was dripping. I will be lying if I say I was calm. No, I wasn't calm. I was shaking with fear . And I was shocked to death that my brain wasn't working anymore. The only thing I could ever think of that time was 𝐼 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑢𝑛. 𝐼 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑒𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑝𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑒. 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛'𝑡 𝑑𝑖𝑒. 𝑁𝑜, 𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑒. Aris sliced his head from his body in just one cut. In a few minutes bloods on the floor and his whole body despair without a trace.
I can see Aris was still shaking. The blood from his sword is still visible. In fact he was standing besides his enemy . I could say this even my mind isn't fresh that what Aris did wasn't intentional to his own self as if his body moved it's own. Both of them
grabbed their swords tightly while shaking. Now that I mention it, I also had this feeling that I am not into the charge of my body fully since the game started.
The team 'W16' started their move again. They moved their knight from Hana's left side in front of their one of pawn which was straightforward to their bishop which was also Hana's left side. We moved our pawn in front of our king Hana to one square forward. His name is Ryu.
They moved their pawn in front of their king as well but it was two squares forward. We moved our knight Isamu straight forward to our bishop Sota which was Hana's right side. And then they turned their knight back to his seat. After that we moved our knight Isamu straightforward to Inaya our queen. He killed one of their pawns. He was three squares ahead from Inaya and two squares from their queen. He was shaking as he was holding his tears he wasn't moving as he was looking down at the floor .
They moved their queen straight forward to their bishop cross one square. We moved our knight Isamu at that spot as well. And in a few seconds he killed the queen. The tears Isamu hold for so far started to drop one by one. What can we do? We only pitied him at that moment. He didn't make a single sound while crying.
They moved their king to one square forward. And once again we moved our knight Isamu at place of their one of the rooks. 𝘚𝘓𝘈𝘚𝘏𝘏.. He killed someone again. But I couldn't capture his expression this time at all. What expression was he making? I can't explain it even if I didn't see it but I can guess. It was unexplainable. Satoru couldn't take it as he spoke up.
"Hey Hana stop it already. Why are you guys pushing him so hard? "
Inaya replied for Hana" You are talking as if we want to push him. We don't have any choice. Since he moved once , we had to take him in a safe place. And for now this was his last move. "
After they ended their conversation, The team 'W16' started to move their players. They moved their bishop next to their king.
We moved one of our pawns two squares forward. His name is Reiner. He moved right front of our bishop Sota and Hana's left side.
They moved their bishop right back to his seat. After that we moved Aris one square forward. And just in a few seconds, Aris was killed right before our eyes. I looked at Inaya as my sweats were slowly dropping from my head to floor. She wasn't affected. She was still calm and way too focused on organizing her thoughts.
We moved Reiner one square forward. Then they put their bishop straight forward to their other bishop and right next to their previous pawn. He was in Hana's left and three squares ahead from our bishop Akiko.
After that we moved our bishop Sota one square forward and in front of Inaya our queen. Then they moved their knight straight forward to their other rook which was alive. It was Hana's right side.
Hana said maybe Sota should move now but then Inaya said maybe it will be a wrong movement so they decided to move our bishop Akiko three squares forward. Now she was in Hana's right side. I was thinking for a while why she didn't move straight and then I called my screen as I saw that it's clearly written that 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬.
Now they moved their knight one square forward in Hana's left side which was straight forward from our other knight Satoru. Then Hana moved our bishop Akiko right next to their king. And in a few seconds she was killed by their king. Everyone was shocked. Wasn't it a foolish move after all? No really what was she thinking? Her pink and red ombre hair was wet by her own bloods. Her black eyes that reminded me of Kei for a moment was looking straight to me. When we killed one of their players, just for a moment I thought we will be winning but.. Never thought that one of our classmates will be dying for a foolish move. It was... Because it was really Hana's foolish movement.
I know... I know that I shouldn't look into their eyes. But I did. I couldn't think of anything and I did. Then we moved one of our pawns again. His name is Edith he was right in front of Akiko in the beginning.
And then suddenly my mind became a bit blurry and I remembered a moment. It is a moment when we were at school together, all of us. Akiko is basically a cheerleader. She have pink and red ombre hair with bangs. She have black eyes. In our school she definitely attracted so many boys's heart even though everyone knew she was a gossip Girl and a bully.
She and her peer would bully Yua from our class a lot and in those moments I definitely hated her the most. And I also remember when Yua told her so many times to stop but she never cared. What I hated as well was she would always tease Kei for being too close with Enji and Satoru as well. She would always backstab her classmates. And in that moment I realized that even though I was shocked and pitied Akiko for dying for Hana's foolish move but deep down I know.. I know that she deserved that death. And I know it will seem evil of me to say that I really wanted to kick her out from our team. But I really wanted her out from our team.
And then again I can never seem to remember a moment when Akiko ever did any of her scams to me. She was always good to me. And then I can even remember when Akiko helped me during exams. I still couldn't figure out why did she do that. At that time I really thought that she could be change. But she couldn't. She died before she could.
I stopped thinking farther as the other team started their moves. They moved their bishop three squares forward. He was Inaya's right side line. Then we moved one of our pawn Edith cross one square forward and killed one of their pawn. Edith was right next to one of their bishop who was Hana's left side.
We were too foolish to notice the places besides our knight Isamu were empty. And then in their next move they moved their last rook who was Hana's left side on our knight Isamu. Just in a few seconds we lost Isamu as well. Bravery is another thing but killing our classmates out of clumsiness is another thing. In that moment, I really wanted to shout at Hana. A small piece of guilt took over my entire mind. I bet everyone was thinking the same as me. Maybe we pushed Hana into the king's position too much. But at least she knows how to play. Should we have given the position to Inaya instead? Would that be better?
Akiko's death didn't shock me as Isamu's. Isamu was like a brother to me. Isamu.. He.. Was my favorite teammate in our football team. Just when I thought that I can now recover Akiko's death. Isamu's memories took over my body. Right now I can feel that I am in control of my body again. My emotions are now being expressed. I couldn't hold my tears anymore. It's not just me. Everyone is already tired.
After they killed Isamu, this time Inaya made her own move and killed one of their knight. He was Hana's laft side. Inaya moved three cross squares forward and killed him . Just right after that they moved their bishop and killed Inaya as well. Never thought a girl like Inaya would do such a foolish move. But this time Hana was calm. Maybe they planned something or Hana is just focusing on the game instead. But never thought that a girl like her would die so fast. So, maybe brother Cheng Hao was right, perhaps this day will be our last day in our life. We are way too reckless to survive.
Even though I have never played chess in my life, even I can tell that their death was out of Hana's carelessness. Aftter the Bishop killed Inaya, Hana moved one of our pawn from her left side. She moved her one square forward .he was in front of Satoru, his name is Ten. After we moved our pawn they moved their last night and killed Edith. Then we moved one of our pawn one square forward who was right in front of Hana. After that they put their rook back in his position.
Hana said I should move two squares beside now. So I moved two squares beside . Then their rook moved five squares beside him. I moved four squares forward and killed their bishop. And I felt nothing. It is just as I thought whenever it's time to kill our enemy the system take over our body. But I can only feel blood on my face.
After that, their rook moved one square beside . It was Hana's right side . Then I moved two squares beside and I was straight forward to Hana now. Then they put their rook to his original position again. I moved two squares beside again. And right noe I am Hana's left side. The rook moved one square besides again. Then this time I moved one square behind. And once again their rook moved to his original position. And we moved our pawn Ryu one square forward who was right in front of our king Hana.
I don't what's going on anymore. They placed their rook one square beside again. Without their rook none of their members is moving. Then this time we moved Satoru next to Ten. He was Hana's left side. After their rook moved back in his position again, we moved one of our pawns. He moved two squares forward. He was in second position from the right side. His name is Alex. This time they moved their rook five squares beside. Then we moved one of our pawns again. He moved one square forward. His name is Trim. He is in rightest side one the board. Their rook took back two squares beside. Then we moved Trim one square forward again.
Their rook took back two squares beside again. Then Sota moved three squares forward. Their king stepped back right next to their rook. From Hana's view he was on his left side. Then we moved Alex one square forward. They moved their pawn on Alex and killed him. Then Trim moved on that position and killed that pawn instead.
They moved their king cross one square forward right in front of their rook. Actually it was good or else we could have lost Satoru as well. Maybe God really loves Satoru after all. He just got way from an easy kill. I moved one square beside in the right and I made a checkmate on the king. The king moved cross one square forward right in front of our pawn Ryu who is straight forward to our King Hana.
Perhaps the creator didn't want me to die yet as well. I moved three square forward and killed their only rook. Now they only have their pawns. I think we still have a chance to win. No , we will definitely win since they don't have any strong character left in the board anymore.
They moved one of their pawn one square forward. He was in the leftest from Hana's view. We moved Sota right onto the place and killed that pawn. Wait... I thought we would lose Sota it was an easy kill they just could have use their pawn to kill him but they moved their king instead. They moved one cross square forward . Now he is besides our pawn Ryu who is straightforward to our king.
We took this opportunity to save Sota and killed their only pawn from the left side. I can't believe their king just walked way without killing our pawn. Maybe he knows he doesn't have any opportunity to win anymore and that's why he is being foolish. He only have one pawn left in the right side after all. After the king moved I moved three squares beside and did another checkmate on the king.
The king took back one square behind in the right side. This time Hana moved brother Cheng Hao two squares beside. And in the meantime the king killed Trim, our only pawn from the right. Then
Brother Cheng Hao moved one square forward. The king moved one square beside in the right side. This time brother Cheng Hao moved in rightest side and did a checkmate onto the king. The king moved back in his position . Brother Cheng Hao moved one square beside and made a checkmate on to the king again.
The king moved one cross square behind right beside his only pawn in the right side. I moved back five squares behind as well. They moved their pawn one square forward. I moved one square beside in the right side right in front of brother Cheng Hao. The king moved back into his position again. Then I moved in the rightest side. The king moved one square beside in the left side. Then in the meantime brother Cheng Hao killed their only pawn.
The king moved one cross square forward in the left side. When brother Cheng Hao made a checkmate again he moved back one square behind straight. Then I made a checkmate on him again. Then when the king moved ond square beside in thd left side brother Cheng Hao made an checkmate on the king again.
The king moved one square forward right beside Sota this time. So Hana moved Sota one square forward. The king step back one cross squre behind. It was right beside Sota. So Hana moved Sota five squares behind . Now since everyone is safe. Brother Cheng Hao and I kept giving the king check mate and kept him busy. In the meanwhile Ryu was in front of our king Hana kept moving to the finish line. When he get into the finish line. We have a choice, we can only bring back one person in this check board and in their life. Hana said it was Inaya's plan to not use our pawns anymore. And this time we brought Inaya back into her life. When I and brother Cheng hao place our position for the king we made a place for Inaya to give him a checkmate too. As the king couldn't move forward or behind him, we moved Inaya into the place where she could give a checkmate.
The moment we gave a checkmate , the hall become dark. And when they put spotlight on us again we saw the king was dead. It's a win. I still can't believe we did it. The hall became noisy as they started to cheering us. We fell into the ground on our knees, we didn't have the strength to keep standing anymore. And just after 3 minutes a screen showed up, we saw Celestina was running toward us.
