Chapter 1 - THINGS YOU CAN'T FORGET

Brian still remembers the unpleasant mornings of highschool, waking up for school everyday just to do things he is not interested in made his life miserable for him. Brian only knew a handful of people in his grade let alone in his school. He was always jealous of american schools because if he was attending their schools he would not have to change into uniform every single morning when all of his strength was used in keeping his eyes open.

Brian was laying on his bed thinking about all kinds of things he could do if only he skipped the school today.

'Damn this school system. How was I supposed to achieve something big when I could not even get my sleep?' Brian thought angrily. He took his blanket off of him furiously and got up from his bed, went straight to the bathroom to clean himself.

Going to the bathroom so early in the morning not to empty his stomach but to wash his face was the second thing he hated the most in his highschool life. The first thing he hated the most was the teacher of the subject he was not good at.

After cleaning hinself Brian went to look for his mother's phone. Brian did not have a phone because his family could not afford one for him and he was jobless and was looking for a part time job. Brian opened his room's door and went to the living room. Brian's house was a single storey house with no first or second floor, it only had a ground floor. Brian was sharing a room with his big brother Samuel. Samuel was not in his room because he was already gone for bis job.

Brian checked the phone to see if he got any messages for him.

Brian tapped the power button to turn on the mobile phone, Brian's eyes almost popped out from his eyesockets after reading the first message. It was an acceptance mail sent by one of the places he applied for a job.

Brian did not hold any mastery or degree for anythibg special, he was not an excellent looking guy. He had simple brown hair with brown eyes with no amazing facial harmony or something worth praising on his face. He was average height male. The characteristic which added to his ugliness was his unshaved face. Brian almost resembled a beggar who was looking for food and clothes.

But, after reading the acceptance message Brian again went to his room's bathroom. Grabbed his brother's shaving gel, applied it on his face and remembered that he did not have a shaving eraser of his own.

Thankfully, his brother had an extra eraser for emergencies like this. Brian unwrapped that eraser and shved his face.

Now he looked somewhat presentable.

Brian changed into good pair of clothes with black dress shirt tucked in, and a light brown pant tightening it with a belt. Brian combed his hair applied some perfume of his brother and went to tge living room. His mother was cooking in the kitchen, but the food was never for Brian. Brian would het breakfast only when a family memeber had not finished breakfast or extra breakfast was made to afford sharing with him. This was all because of a blunder Brian made in his highschool life, that still forces him to suffer in his twenties.

Brian mom cooked her breakfast and went to her room with it.

Slam!

Banging sound was heard after angrily slamming of door.

Brian was used to all of this so much that he stopped expecting for cooked breakfast. If only he had money to order some food he would have not went to his job with an empty stomach.

Brian hopped onto subway that led him to his new workplace. It was convenience store where he was slected as an counter and as an mananger.

It was a newly opened store in that area so Brian was slected because of the fake CV his brother had created for him.

'Whrat the hell they need CV's for? Samuel created for me just in time, I am glad!' Brian thought.

The only family member who still cared for Brian was his elder brother Samuel. He was the one who always encouraged Brian to try new things and to not give up wven when Brian lost his amazing job because of his subordinates mistakes.

Brian was standing in the train looking outside through the window when he remembered that he used to go to school daily like this and was never happy with it. He was always yawning, always getting anxiety because of tests and results, was never confident enough to express his true feelings or say something with confidence. He always lost arguments and only remember good taunts after he had already lost the argument.

'Even if my highschool life went downhill because of that person, I think I should still be glad because if that person did not have came in my life I would have not enjoyed my youngster years as much as I did.' Brian thought with a smile on his face.

Brian's palms of both hands were sweaty because of the small anxiety he was getting due to thinking about his workplace.

Brian still has a scarred heart, which aches everytime because of all the things he ends up remembering all the tine because of the behaviour of his surrounding ones.

Brian hopped of the subway and was now walking on the road. He passed by a number of restaurants and food stalls and got water in his mouth in huge quantity. But as his wallet was empty he could not buy even a single piece of bread. He was hoping for his brother to buy him something to eat in lunchtime or even at dinner.

Brian had finally reached his destination. It was a seven eleven convenience store. He was getting all kind of thoughts now that he was finally entering his workplace. Brian entered and found a lady sitting on counter on the right side of door.

Brian's eyes were filled to the brim with shock, after capturing the image of woman in his eyes.

"M-Marya!? You... you are also working here?"

"Sir, do I know you?" Lady sitting on the counter inquired.

"It's you! Right Marya! Don't you remember me? I am Brian! You know the 'Brian with no brain' Brian."

Brian exclaimed with enthusiastic enthusiasm.

"You!" Marya looked at Brian with bewildered eyes.
