Synopsis
“Tempted by the demoness” was just another romance cultivation novel. Ming Shan, the female lead, was a nice and innocent girl with a tragic backstory, a demon raised in a righteous sect, facing the world’s cruelty and abandoned by birth, she would go on many adventures to cultivate the dao with the two male leads, each competing for her love. But no hero lacks their villain. Yue Fang, the villainess of the story, would do everything in her power to make the protagonist miserable and steal her man, just to die tragically in the middle of the book, not even worth two lines to describe her final moments. There was no way that girl could have avoided her fate. However, what if one were to be transmigrated as Yue Fang? Knowing the contents of the novel, one might not face much difficulty. But what if that person was a foreigner that never read the book or even knew what Xianxia is? They needed to be the most unlucky human alive. Luckily, Camila would never have to worry about that.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Tempted by the Demoness: A Love Triangle of Light and Shadow" was a popular, but horrible, romance book. The female lead of the book ( AKA, the protagonist ) was petty, manipulative and constantly threw herself at the two male leads, not giving a care in the world about their feelings.

Although she is presented as an innocent and pure girl, readers can right away see her flaws and how annoying she can be. This girl, Ming Shan, is a demoness, who had been given birth in the human world and abandoned to be raised in a righteous sect.

Although she was good at heart and bright, Ming Shan was an inflexible goody two shoes that saw only black and white in the world.

Readers throughout the internet roasted her, pointing out the female lead's hypocrisy and attitude. But even so, the fervorous admirers of the book far surpassed its haters, so most people ignored Ming Shan's flaws and attributed it for possibly a future character development. Alas, there's no need to say that this never happened.

Ming Shan would go on to cultivate and learn the righteous path, facing cruelty for most part of her teenage years.

During those times, Yue Fang, the villainess of the story, was a jealous colleague that recurrently made things difficult throughout the story. She envied Ming Shan's talent and for the love of her shixiong, the first male lead, Yu Xuan.

None of the readers knew why the two girls liked this boy, especially Yue Fang, who he had always treated badly. Besides being handsome, he really had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Yu Xuan was unkind, bad tempered and obsessive, relying solely on his looks and his strength to impress those foolish girls.

Yue Fang did everything in her power to get his attention and ruin her shijie's life. But no action of her's was fruitful, no sweet words or bullying would be able to get what she wanted. In the list of her multiple offenses, there was: stealing Ming Shan's mother's bracelet, cutting her hair, throwing water at her, publicly humiliating her, etc.

Through her Shijie's incessant cruelty, Ming Shan, during half of the book, killed her by throwing Yue Fang in a deen full of evil spirits to be consumed alive.

Really, Yue Fang's ending did suit her well, a cruel villainess for a cruel end. No one questioned that.

However, what if one were to be transmigrated as this villainess? But not only that, someone who had never read the book or even knew what Xianxia is? To add to the mixture, what if you were also a foreigner that had no previous understanding of Chinese culture? You'd have to be the most unlucky person on earth and it was most likely that god himself hated you.

Good thing that Camila has always been lucky.
