Sarah couldn't hear Samantha's voice. She forced the locker opened and found Samantha on the floor with her legs crossed and her eyes closed.
"Samantha, is everything alright?" Sarah asked. "Are you hurt or anything?"
Samantha kept quiet and this started to make Sarah unsteady. Sarah then reached out her hand expecting that Samantha would hold it and pull herself up. Samantha held Sarah's hand and pulled herself up but still showed no expression on her face neither did she open her eyes.
"Samantha, what happened in there?" Sarah asked.
Samantha then opened her eyes and looked at Sarah. Samantha and Sarah's normal eye colour is brown but for some reason Samantha's was bright yellow. When Sarah noticed she took a small step back in fear: she remembers that eye very well. Samantha then gave Sarah a huge smile and big hug.
"I love you sister." Said Samantha in a joyful voice. When she hugged Sarah she hugged her tighter and tighter till Sarah began to feel uncomfortable.
"Samantha I think you're hugging me a little too tight, don't you think?" Sarah asked but there was no reply. Samantha hugged Sarah even tighter Sarah then said "I'm not breathing properly. Samantha, let go."
"No I won't." Samantha replied. There was a dark tone in Samantha's voice.
Sarah then pushed her back and took a deep breath. When she looked at Samantha her smile turned to a rather alarming one.
"Why did you push me back?" Samantha said in an even darker tone.
Sarah kept quiet. Samantha then raged out all of the sudden. Sarah was puzzled why Samantha is acting this way. "Is it because of the locker? What was inside it?" she asked herself."
Then Samantha pounced on Sarah causing the two to fall on the ground. Samantha was on top of Sarah strangling her. Sarah tried her best to push Samantha back. Sarah began to reach out her hand on the ground hoping to grab something that can help her fight back. She then felt something that was like a rock. She quickly grabbed it and hit Samantha with it. Samantha fell to the right side of Sarah. Sarah quickly got up and flashed a light at Samantha.
When she did that she saw that Samantha was not getting up. Her eyes were closed making it look as if she was unconscious. Sarah was not sure what to do at that point. Should she get closer and ask her why she did that or get the stuff and run away. Sarah was stuck with a dilemma, not sure if she should trust her sister after what she just did. Sarah then took a deep breath and went to Samantha. Sarah shoved Samantha a little. Samantha still did not get up Sarah's suspicion of her being unconscious grow more.
Sarah still needs to figure out how to get out of this forest but she can't do it without her sister. Sarah took the items from locker 556 she opened the bag. She found a small box of shells and bullets along with some rope with a tag that said 2 meters. Sarah then dragged Samantha back to the top. Sarah found a sturdy wooden chair. She put Samantha on the chair and tied her with the rope. Sarah then sat at the corner on the floor waiting for her sister to wake up.
As Sarah was sited patiently for Samantha to wake up, she had no idea that Samantha was in her happy place but as usual there was a twist in the dream. Samantha woke up again the yellow flower meadow. She was laid down on her back. She got up and looked around it was the normal meadow she remembers. She was glad about her dream being normal that she did not want any more random encounters.
Samantha saw Penelope but she was not her joyful self; she looked scared, was sited on the ground hugging her knees and whispering to herself, "I need the book, I need the book." She said over and over to herself. Samantha went and sat next to her, "Penelope, is everything alright?" Samantha asked but Penelope didn't answer; it was as if she didn't notice Samantha was saying something.
Samantha then placed her hand on Penelope's shoulder. Penelope all of the sudden grabbed Samantha's hand and looked at Samantha's eyes with fear. She then said with terror in her voice, "Find the book, don't trust Sarah, and don't wake up. You have to know what happened to you before the institute. We need to know."
Back to Sarah
Sarah was still sited at the corner waiting for Samantha to wake up. Sarah soon grew inpatient and began to shake Samantha. Samantha slowly opened her eyes and looked at Sarah. Sarah was then confused at what she saw. Previously Samantha eyes were bright yellow but know there normal. Sarah then asked Samantha if she was okay. Samantha replied with a smile on her face "I'm fine, don't worry about me." Sarah was still scared to let Samantha go after how she freaked out.
Sarah was left unsure about either she should untie her sister or leave her tied up. Sarah thought to herself "I can't leave my sister tied up like this but I can't untie her either. I'll just have to keep a close eye on her." Sarah then untied Samantha from the chair but tied Samantha's hands behind her back. Samantha was struck with confusion and asked "Sarah what are you doing? Unite me!"
"Sorry sis after what you did I can't let you out of my~~" before Sarah could even finish her sentence Samantha kicked Sarah in the gut and ran off. Sarah was about to Chase after her but the amount of force Samantha use on that kick made Sarah lay flat on the floor. Sarah got up after sometime. She looked around and Samantha was nowhere to be seen.
Sarah sat at the corner wondering why Samantha is freaking out like this. Samantha assumes that it must have been the locker Samantha got trapped in but there was nothing in it. Sarah went back to the locker room. She went to the one Samantha was stuck in. As she looked around the locker for clues she noticed a piece of paper laying on the ground. She picked it up and saw that there was some writings on it.
It read "Dear Penelope I am sorry to say this but the book you are looking for is not there. Mai warned me that you and mother are after the book. Mai sent the book back to me and I am now living with Mr Nalomango. Mai says that it's safer there. Mai is unaware about this letter I am writing to you. It's for the best she says. Best wishes your cousin Veyera."
Samantha began to ask herself who are these people what's all this about a book and why does the name Mai. Sarah flipped the paper and saw a key with a tag sealed with seal tape. Sarah took the key and read the tag. 554 it read.
Sarah checked around for locker 554. When she found it she opened it but when she opened a bit, a strong aroma came out of the locker. The aroma was of something rotten, Sarah couldn't even open the locker wider due to the smell. Sarah took some courage and covered her nose and mouth with her shirt. When she opened the locker what she saw almost made her heart skip a beat.
There was a girl in there, she looked about Sarah's age. The skin on the girl's face was rotten and seemed to be falling off. They was a writing on the wall it read, "I'm sorry." The girl familiar but Sarah couldn't recall her.
Sarah then decided that this must be either Penelope or Mai but she couldn't understand how any of this could have made Samantha freak out and the word Mai sounded familiar. Sarah noticed that the dead girl's fist was closed as if there was something she was holding. Sarah opened the fists and saw what appeared to be a folded picture. Sarah took it and unfolded the picture. What she saw shocked her, she saw three girls on the picture but one if the girls' face was scratched off with a red marker.
Sarah concluded that the three girls must be Penelope, Mai and Veyera but Sarah couldn't tell who which one was. "The body that's upstairs must neither Mai nor Penelope." Sarah thought to herself "The hand writing on the wall of the looker doesn't match the hand writing on the wall next to the body upstairs." Sarah then sighed and sat on the floor. "But how does this deal with Samantha freaking out. I'm missing something." As Sarah was thinking, she felt a sting on the back of her neck. She then felt weak and little tired till she fell fast asleep.
