Location: Southeastern Mountains, Somewhere in the USA
In a small mountain village enveloped by mountains and rivers, hundreds of households are scattered throughout the area. The yellow dog barks in harmony with the rooster's crow, while cicadas chirp and frogs croak.
Amidst this tranquil setting, smoke curls up from the cooking stoves, creating a picturesque scene in this ordinary mountain village—a lush landscape surrounded by homes, with willow trees adorning the windows. It appears as if a master artist has splashed his brush and ink to create a masterpiece.
At this moment, a group of uninvited guests arrives in this idyllic little village, disrupting its long-standing peace.
Who are these people? Their attire and appearance are typical of city dwellers. However, in this village, long isolated in the mountains, they seem slightly out of place amidst the natural beauty. Yet, over time, they appear to be embraced by the serene environment, blending into its natural splendor as if they belong.
This group, equipped with expensive photographic equipment, forms a long, winding line as they traverse the narrow country road, passing through lush greenery and herbs.
Leading the group is a middle-aged man, appearing to be in his 40s. He is slightly plump and quite handsome, suggesting he was good-looking in his youth. Following him is another middle-aged man in his 40s, but with a slender build, indicating a mild-mannered personality. His gentle nature and approachable demeanor make him an amiable elder.
Behind them is a young woman, slim and round-faced, with a perpetual smile that radiates youthfulness, reminiscent of the girl next door. Next in line is a young man with an extraordinary appearance, exuding a majestic temperament, standing tall at about 20 years old. Following him is another handsome young man, whose slightly foolish demeanor is tempered by a hint of intelligence—a charming fool, if you will.
Trailing behind them are ordinary crew members, some carrying photographic equipment, others holding documents.
Anyone familiar with the entertainment industry would recognize this group as the crew of the nationally popular program "Longing for Life." Indeed, these individuals are the staff of "Longing for Life," with the five leading the way being the show's hosts: Mr. Hudson, Mr. Harris, Zoe, Alex Young, and the lively Peter Chang.
Their purpose here is to film the seventh season of "Longing for Life."
"It's so beautiful! The air is so fresh! A deep breath makes you feel so happy!"
Upon seeing the lush forests and winding mountain paths, Zoe, the sole female host, takes a deep breath, her face lighting up with joy.
Mr. Hudson and Mr. Harris exchange glances and, seeing her happiness, smile knowingly.
Mr. Hudson comments, "Then take a few more breaths. Such fresh air is rare and beneficial for the body."
Mr. Harris adds, "Yes, living here and breathing this air could extend your life."
"Really?"
Peter Chang, walking at the back of the group, widens his eyes in surprise.
Seeing Peter's reaction, Mr. Harris chuckles, "Of course, it's true. Fresh air enhances cardiopulmonary activity and blood circulation, more beneficial than any health regimen."
"Then I need to take a few more breaths!"
Peter immediately opens his mouth wide, gulping in air like a whale swallowing water, prompting laughter from everyone.
Alex Young, turning to face him, pats his shoulder and says, "Peter, life is long. No need to start preserving your health just yet!"
"But if we can extend life a bit, isn't that wonderful?" Peter replies while inhaling deeply.
Alex turns to the camera and says, "That's right, even though life is long, extending it a little is great! Tiano honey milk tea, rich in vitamins and nutrients, is your health ally!"
Peter looks stunned, "Your advertisement caught me off guard!"
The others laugh, while Alex pats Peter's shoulder, "This is for a living."
"Alright, let's move along! The mountain roads are challenging, and cars can't drive in. It could take some time!" Mr. Harris claps his hands and urges them forward.
After a half-hour trek, they reach the entrance of Pinehill Village, where the mushroom house is located. Accustomed to city skyscrapers, the sight of this quaint village with its wafting smoke offers a unique charm.
As they prepare to enter the village, a noise arises from the roadside bushes, capturing their attention.
"What is that?"
Zoe, naturally a bit apprehensive, hides behind Mr. Harris.
Mr. Harris reassures her, "Don't worry, it might be a small animal."
Zoe's eyes light up, intrigued by the thought, as most girls love small animals. However, Mr. Hudson mischievously adds, "In these mountains, it could be a rat, snake, or something else!"
"Ah!"
Startled, Zoe trembles and lets out a soft gasp, seeking comfort behind Mr. Harris. He reassures her and gives Mr. Hudson a playful scolding, "Mr. Hudson, don't scare her."
Alex chimes in, "Yeah, why scare her?"
Peter, approaching the bushes, says, "Let's find out what it is!"
Just as Peter reaches the bushes, Mr. Hudson warns, "Be careful, it might be a snake!"
Alarmed, Peter steps back, and Zoe lets out a small scream. The others are also briefly startled.
After the initial shock, they all realize there's no snake, and they look at Mr. Hudson reproachfully, "Mr. Hudson!"
He bursts into laughter, while Peter, recovering, prepares to investigate the bushes again.
Suddenly, an unknown animal's call emerges from the bushes, "Pikachu~Pikachu~Pikachu!"
